just woke up to notice that BTC-e is trading around 360 while everyone else is still in the 470 range. any reasoning behind this difference? all i remember is when gox has a crazy different exchange rate and that was a sign of the beginning of the end for them.

US government, the Illuminati, Free Masons

But seriously, it could well be someone well stocked in bitcoins who is panicking right now.  They bought high, far too high and can't take the pressure any more.  For all we (or anyone else) knows bitcoin could be sub $100 next week.

What the actual fuck. That just bulldozered my stop losses on a margin trading platform and lost me over £1k. That's more money than I have in the bank ffs.

Manipulation by brokers that use the BTC-e price for their BTC instruments?

interesting how quickly that dump was absorbed. took it all the way to 309, and 2 minutes later back at 450.

Yes but still if you add up all the dumps in the previous days, it's over 60k BTC (i'm counting only the big instant dips) . Now if you weed out the panic sellers etc you're still left with about 20-30k done by somebody or a group. Wasn't talk on this forum ab some Eretheum people who got almost 30k btc in IPO or something, which they're dumping?

There is still a huge spread between BTCe and the other major exchanges.  US$40 right now, or almost 10%.  Surely there's something strange going on here.  Are traders questioning the stability and integrity of BTCe?  It's like the MtGox final days.

You can become a 32nd degree mason in a weeeknd.. just no.

 Now the govs.. maybe..

The uber rich... most likely.  They've played the same games with gold a LONG time ago.. still do but it was much more insane a long time ago.

I've always wondered how can manipulation be profitable when they are just making it cheaper for people to buy in.
