So, the consensus seems to be that our (longer) chain is the bad fork.
We don't know how that happened; we just installed it from the dev's github when it was released.
Our sincere apologies to all who wasted time with this coin, and for our fork, even though it was done through no choice or act of our own. I strongly doubt we are, or will be, the only ones to face these issues.
We've burned too many hours on a poorly executed Litecoin copy that has no real value or exchange and so many inherent issues so early on, so we're not going to burn any more starting over.
Catcoin at Pool of Pools is dead.
So the 676 coins I mined at your pool are lost? As are all of the coins *I* mined there (2,426) and all the coins the pool collected as fees to offset the $320/month server costs. As are the 7 hours we've spent setting up, running, and finally killing this sh*tty coin at our pool. I didn't meant that it was a lot I was just wondering if all the coins were lost or just the ones after the fork, I know it's peanuts... Sorry if I came at you the wrong way, then. I'm just as frustrated and disappointed as anyone else is. This cost us actual money (USD & BTC, not just fictional Catcoins) and plenty of time to setup, and it has gained us nothing in return. This coin belongs in the litter box. Doge may be a stupid meme coin to many, but at least it launched well, didn't eat itself like a digital ouroboros, and managed to get listed on an exchange where it can be traded for BTC. So far, this coin has failed on two of these fronts, and as a result, is likely to fail on the third.

Maybe your chain is right. No one of other pools checked their blockchains... And we have some troubles with them, 0/0 coins for more than 1 hour. If our chain turns out to be the good one, I guess the coins will be valid. If they are, we'll be sure you can withdraw them and use them for whatever Catcoins will be good for, which probably isn't much. I don't really know. At this point, I don't much care. i mined 3k+ on poolofpools =(
they scamed you and stolen you coins, i hate pools on launch 90% pools scam You obviously do not understand what happened. If the chain is forked, and we're on the bad fork, those coins are WORTHLESS. ALL OF THEM. So what good does it do us to "scam" them from anyone? That would be like stealing air from a public park, except the air would at least be good for something. We have wasted 7 hours, tons of bandwidth, and many tons of frustration dealing with this pointless copycat coin. We have gained literally nothing from it, in any form of value or compensation. So if you'd kindly shut up until you know what "scam" means, or at least until you understand who truly got screwed, and by whom, here, I'd appreciate it.

I was soloing and it looks like I'm on my own blockchain?! lol it was okay there for a while but now after the difficulty changed I started to find all the blocks, one after another. Anyhow. I'm out, this coin looks forked more than once. Good luck to you all.
As I said before, I strongly doubt we're the only ones to get screwed by this coin. Sorry it happened to you too.

We (poolofpools) are re-downloading the blockchain to make sure we're on the right one.
Our wallet is backed up, so all will be well as long as the coin wasn't already forked.
Just to reiterate: if we're not on the right blockchain, we're just as screwed as everyone else, so don't think we somehow benefited from this.
We both have pissed off wives because we've spent way too much time screwing with this tonight, so if we don't have any valid coins in our wallet to counteract that, we may be a good deal worse off than anyone who mined with us.
We'll be back up as soon as we know what's going on for sure.
We just completed a full re-install of the wallet and re-download of the blockchain and all of our coins are intact. I can only think that means they're valid coins on the proper chain. Allegations of us being on the wrong chain are therefore most likely incorrect. Other pools should validate they are on the correct chain as well. The re-downloaded chain has at least 11,887 blocks in it, pulled directly from 14 node connections.

Cryptovalley is giving me confirmed transactions now and poolofpools isn't. I am running with cryptovalley from now overnight and hopefully it's the right choice poolofpools is a scam You really shouldn't call things scams when you have no clue what you're talking about. Even if we're on the wrong fork, we didn't SCAM anyone. We provided a service and this coin got screwed within hours of launching (if that's in fact the case, and we don't know yet that it is). So how about giving someone trying to do something good for the scrypt coin community a break? We didn't delay the launch, we didn't make it so ridiculously low diff that blocks were found in 1 share, and we didn't fork any chain. If the coin forked within hours of launch, that's a design flaw. Not a pool's fault. IF--IF--the chain we're on is the wrong fork (not saying it is, I honestly don't know) we're the ones out the money for the server, the time we could have spent on better coins, and all of the effort we put into setting it up. What are you out, skovbitcoin? A few minutes? I'm out a fair few coins if you're on the wrong chain. I was under the impression that that was the choice of the pool to fork the chain and head down their own path. If so then it's a blatant attempt to grab early coins for yourselves by forking the chain ahead of time, if not then I am incorrect and I apolgise and I sympathise with you :/ I should add I am tired and probably grouchy due to the late start on this coin... The choice of a pool to fork the chain? Like there's a button somewhere that says "FORK!"? That's ridiculous. If you're out coins because they're invalied because they're forked, what do you think ours would be worth? How does that make even a drop of sense? Again, think, then speak.

WARNING cat.poolofpools.com
is running on the freaking wrong Chain!! Their blocks are 3000+ more than the other chain. They are on block 9000 now and everyone else is near 6000
Network Info Difficulty 0.015625 Current Block 9217
Am I missing something? Doesn't the longest chain end up being the right one? Also worth noting that we appear to be one of the most stable pools/servers, so the others may not be updating the block count via crons, and actually on the same number of blocks as we are. We're updating as regularly as possible. Not sure yet, too soon to tell I guess.

Which pool is paying ?
cat.poolofpools.com has paid out over 50,000 with another 150k or so waiting for confirm/crons to catch up.

trying to mine at poolsofpools but not getting anything.
Same here pool dead.. Pool is definitely not dead. I'm mining on it right now. So are over 170 others. We're clearing blocks left and right. The server isn't even close to overloaded, but the crons are having trouble keeping up. They'll catch up once the pace of blocks slows down a little bit.

http://cat.poolofpools.com is acting wierd with my miner. Detecting a lot of blocks, hashing plenty..not getting any accepted shares. That's happening for everyone--the blocks are moving so quickly, it's hard to get an accepted share. If you do, you probably get a block with it though. The blocks are just moving too quickly right now.
