I've installed the Nano wallet. Is it possible with this wallet to save the wallet.dat ?
There's no wallet.dat with Shift. You gain access to your wallet through your passphrase (ie your wallet IS your passphrase), either with the webwallet, the desktop wallet or by running a node. Fore more security, it is recommended to setup a second passphrase. 1st passphrase only => wallet access, send coins and vote. 1st + 2nd passphrase => 1st=wallet access, 2nd=send coins and vote |

Please don't spread FUD. People come and go, this is the normal life of a project. We thank Jan and seatrips for their contribution, and we regret that it has to end like this. The main contributors are still working hard on making the new Web a reality, and at least one new dev is getting onboard, which will be announced soon.

It is indeed important to know what's going on, so that it doesn't happen to other users. First, connect@shiftnrg.org is no longer used since it was former team member crush and he's now m.i.a. We have resent the invite manually, so check out your mailbox again. If other users have a problem, let us know. It seems a lot of other users got stuck, but it's a ryver issue rather than our fault. Hi all, I've tried to sign up for the Ryver forum several times, but I never receive the confirm email. I emailed Ryver and they said the link I had was expired and to ask the Shift admins to send me a new invite. I sent that email request to connect@shiftnrg.org 5 days ago and haven't heard back. I've also tried more-recent sign-up links (I think), but still no confirm email. I've also tried entering different (valid) email accounts ... Any idea what's up? when will be shift followin price movements of LISK? This is first clone right?
1-Market decides, but Shift is having a steady rise, which is more sane than artificial pumps. 2-Shift is actually the first Ethereum fork in history, and shifted to Lisk codebase last year, because the network didn't have enough hashrate to resist 51% attacks it was victim of. It is not the first Lisk fork in history though, but one of the few successful along with Ark. |

What does Shift has to do with with IFPS? Does IFPS use shift tokens or something. If not, then what gives value to Shift?
Maybe anyone could elaborate? For now, the focus is to bring a decentralized hosting solution in parallel of a decentralized application platform. With IPFS, you can pin content that you want to see hosted forever. Eventually, the idea of SHIFT is to reward those who pin content for others, be it with new tokens created by Dapp creators -preferably- or with SHIFT by the Shift team. That is the blooming of Web 3.0 with an ecosystem built in from the get go, which SHIFT is the spearhead of. No single point of failure, freedom of creation, built-in payment system. |
