Seem to be a nice hardware wallet.
Is OP located in Canada?
Is the shipping fee included or extra?
Thinking buying Trezor T or Trezor one, it is hard to make the decision.

Thanks and please let me know
Hi
Expedited Shipping and taxes (where applicable) extra, we are based in Montreal , Trezor One is the entry level, while the model T is the high end one and will support more coins types per roadmap.

5  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why link Dropbox to Trezor for naming accounts? on: June 20, 2018, 02:56:04 PM

I'm not a Trezor user as I personally prefer Ledger Nano S so I really am not sure about this, but this is probably because naming addresses, and accounts requires a bit of storage memory. My guess is that the Trezor doesn't have that much memory for these data to be stored so they require you're dropbox account to be connected so the data can be stored there.

Just my guess. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
Thanks for the explanation! That makes totally sense. I also guess that this should be safe. The guys from Trezor seem pretty competent in what they are doing and i don't think that they would be stupid enough to store ANY sensible data on Dropbox!

Hi All

For people who might be reading tis thread as reference, it is also for portability, since a person will be using his Trezor wallet securely on any computer, using Dropbox will insure you will be able to see labels and notes whenever you move from one pc to another..

Just ordered one, with a coupon it was just too tempting to pass.  Smiley
Coupons are not active on those it seems.. how yours worked?

Do you think that ZCash will change their algo. Do they have the guts ? Really it definitely looks like all of algos will have an asic this year. I think next one will be NEOSCRYPT. We need new algos. The cycle is repeating.

This will sell out quick , A3 first batch ROI'd quickly , but 1st batch B3 and E3 and X3 saw quick drops in price for 2nd batches coming immediately after 1st batches ... Obviously X3 saw Monero fork / change algo...

Not sure that Zcash would want to fork : http://www.crypto-news.in/news/alt-coins/zcash-founder-zooko-not-interested-asic-resistance/

* EDIT *Or this, more recent update : https://forum.z.cash/t/let-s-talk-about-asic-mining/27353/638?u=zooko

May have to keep an eye on this, would love a Z9 asap but my gut says wait til batch 2

Thank you for the update, it looks like indeed this will be a new journey and further disruption to the GPU mining.. with Casper looming on ETH and POS , we might see the eclipse of industrial GPU mining this year..

Just grabbed a few! I'm loving the low power requirements.

Indeed, At 300W, these would not require heavy cooling, thus they should be less noisy and would fit for Home mining.

regardless, all antminers purchased can be resold on like ebay and such for higher than you paid if you buy batch 1

its almost no risk, if when received the profit has dropped off -> dump the miner to some idiot on ebay for more than you paid

Hi all

Well, I cannot agree with you on that, too much risks with Bitmain nowadays as they price per value and not cost..
The X11 Batch 1 was at 11K USD and now they sell at 1500 and no one would buy afaik.. while the E3 were the most profitable, Batch 1 at 800$ now >2100usd
Same for A3, difficulty skyrocketed there and miners went from 2300$ to <1K$

Mike

all A3 batches have been massive profitable to mine with. X11 would have been massively profitable is CN did not hard fork. Top equihash coins have already stated they won't be doing a hard fork for ASIC's.

Even when these all hit the networks, should still result under 100 day ROI

Well, the A3s unless you got them on day 1 out of all customers you wouldn't have got your ROI yet, their price was 2300$, difficulty went up from ~0.5M TH afaik to 11M TH in 1 week, at 40$ per 1K sia that would still have made 1K usd, but prices of sia went down afterwards to 20$ then 9$.. you had to mine 120K coins at 40$ to return your 2300$ which till now none of Batch 1 miners did, afaik most should be around 100K coins

I have batch 1 A3's running right now in my farm.. paid themselves off in about 2.5months and have been making 8-10$ of profit daily since. A better ROI than GPU's have been recently.

Yup, mined about 125k SC since receiving it 97 days ago.
Cost per A3+PSU =~ 1.45BCH at purchase time
1.45BCH =~ 80k SC at todays price for both BCH and SC
actually you are correct, the 120K coins were for 2 miners at 2300$ @40$, Batch 1 broke even already at 75K coins @ today's price

Plus shipping is in 2 month from now, they will fund their Batch 1, then what we've see previously they could launch Batch 2 in June for less price and shipping in 7-10 Days, unless we can predict the difficulty of the coins how it will move.. usually Bitmain ships around 10K units per batch, that's 100 Million Sol to the NEtwork, if Zcash takes the majority (65% per say).. that would double the difficulty on Batch one from 7.5M to ~15M and profit would go down to 500$ per month.. might be worth it if Bitmain will not dump the market
