3  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] SetEscrow - Secure escrow for the cryptocurrency world on: June 22, 2019, 07:17:07 AM
SetEscrow is still alive and well Smiley

Do note since support is account-specific and we can't give out details in a public forum you'd want to contact us through our official support channels at https://www.setescrow.com/help

It is normal to not receive a reply to a new dispute for 1-2 days since the 1st thing we do is try to contact the seller for their side of the story and any tracking #s/evidence they have.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinpayments.net on: July 23, 2018, 01:52:39 PM
Just like most services there is a timeout period to receive confirmed funds, for this payment it was 15 hours. The buyer either waited a long time to send and/or didn't include enough TX fee so the funds weren't confirmed until 4-5 hours after timeout.

I note that they're quite happy to accept that amount as a payment and then forward it on to a merchant.

Generally merchants accepting micropayments use To Balance mode so it goes to their CoinPayments Wallet, that way it is a ledger entry versus being sent on-blockchain with a TX fee.

i have created some alias for some syscoin addresses holding syscoin before 1st of july .... but i did not get any CPS Coins by the airdrop ? how can that be? is there a possibility still to claim them if there was a misttake during the airdrop?

Remember for any tech issues you have to post a support ticket at https://www.coinpayments.net/help-support - Make sure to include your Syscoin alias.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UTILITYSALE][Airdrop] CoinPayments Coin - Decentralized Market + Discounts on: July 05, 2018, 03:54:04 AM
You guys really fucked up this airdrop marketing wise. Not enough information on specifically the fact that you needed an alias expiring after May 2019. I've been in syscoin got a very long time and thought I was all prepared to get the drop, my main aliases were set to expire shortly before May.

Serious fuck up. Go check the syscoin slack and see the shitstorm you guys created.

The information was on the website and the minimum expiration time was requested by the Syscoin dev team.

Yep you don't have to do anything, they were all sent automatically.

How do we claim the syscoin alias airdrop?

I think I'm seeing them in Block Market Desktop version 3.

I went to Assets -> Tokens and I have my balance of cps coins.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UTILITYSALE][Airdrop] CoinPayments Coin - Decentralized Market + Discounts on: May 28, 2018, 08:15:57 PM
You can make aliases in Syscoin Core Debug Console, you don't need the Block Market wallet to do it.
10  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinpayments robbed on: May 25, 2018, 01:55:33 AM
Ip whitelisting sounds like an effective way to protect valuables but the problem comes when you using a dynamic ip and you need to confirm your activities every time you try to login to get access which grows to a pen in the butt

For IP Whitelisting I'm talking about API keys, generally you would be using these on a server and their IPs usually don't change.
11  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinpayments robbed on: May 22, 2018, 11:17:26 PM
Yep, the most common things we see are:

1) The user's email gets hacked, then the hacker just logs in if the password is the same or does a password reset since they have access to the email. If the user enables Google Authenticator/TOTP it would prevent this from working. A lot of the time they delete the emails afterwards to the user doesn't get tipped off too fast they were hacked.

2) Leaked API keys with 'auto_confirm' permission enabled. This usually comes from people's servers or software having vulnerabilities; a lot of the time especially on more questionable sites they are using pirated (aka "nulled") scripts with backdoors and such in them.

TLDR: For best results enable Google Authenticator/TOTP, if using API keys only enable permissions you need and IP whitelist and set limits if possible, if running your own server/software make sure you know how to secure your system.

It's a brand new account, I doubt its the real Coinpayments account, it is easy to impersonate someone over the internet Roll Eyes

It is a real account, yes.
13  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinpayments robbed on: May 19, 2018, 10:32:34 PM
I have seen some thread says that payments are repaid to the people who have lost the money with the coinpayments wallet mate. Still you does not get the payment back from the team.
As pugman said you need to open the thread on scam and acussation section to report they are not else you can pm to Lauda. She can bael to direct the right person on that coinpayments team.

You are thinking of the bug that let people overdraw XRP, those funds were fully repaid to the users since that was an issue on our end.

When staking the coins on the CoinPayments platform, I understand that there is a 25% annual return. Do I get the coins paid out monthly or how will that work? Are they automatically paid into my wallet or do I have to do something?

Yep it tells you on the CPS Coin website it is 25% per year paid out monthly: https://www.coinpaymentscoin.com/

In order to get more coins than what you get as free airdrop:
1) login to coinpayments account
2) open wallets tab
3) select Coinpayments coin and click convert button. Here you wil get all coin conversion options to get discounted cps coins until end of June

He wrote #3 a little backwards, you click the Convert To next to the coin you are purchasing with then pick CPS Coin in the dropdown. For example if you are using BTC click Convert To next to BTC, then CPS Coin.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UTILITYSALE][Airdrop] CoinPaymentsCoin - Decentralized Market + Discounts on: May 13, 2018, 08:55:23 PM
I click "convert" button (for example Bitcoin), the window "convert bitcoin ->" it opens, I select "CPS" button and I have this message:
Code:
Error
That coin cannot be converted to CPS! (At least not yet)
For every type of coins I receive that message, only when I select to convert in CPS (I've asked for this reason)

You have to convert from within your CoinPayments Wallet (the Your Wallets page when you log in), not the Supported Coins page.

Huh I bought coins through this site and did not receive them  Huh

If you are having issues with a conversion you should post a support ticket at https://www.coinpayments.net/help-support - as you can imagine we can't help you here.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple wallet getting ripped on Coinpayments.net on: January 25, 2018, 05:07:06 AM
I just looked up un4given.1991's support ticket, his email had been hacked and the hacker accessed his account that way to send the funds (they were sent to ShapeShift.) HTTP logs showed the hacker doing a password reset then logging in with Email 2FA and doing email confirmation of the withdrawals.

We do highly recommend enabling Google Auth/TOTP on all accounts so there isn't a single point of failure on your account.
