I haven't been able to find that release date in any of the archived S17 firmware sites. Do you know where to find this fixed frequency firmware for S17/S17Pro?

2600W is way to high for air-cooled S9s. If you are looking to overclock those older S9s, I would try 1400W-1600W for the 13.5 model and 1200-1400W for the 11.5 model and see if you are happy with the results of hashrate and efficiency.

Never run more than 90% of the rated power of your PSU by the way.

Three factors are involved with answering this question. The first is how low or how high is your watt setting the higher the watt setting the longer auto-tuning takes. The second factor is ambient temperature. I have found that if the ambient temperature is cool and controlled the process is much quicker than if the mining environment is a hot garage with little ventilation, for example. The third factor in "how long" is the condition of your individual chips. Since auto-tuning tests and sets levels for each chip, if you have a well used S9 which maybe has lots of debris in the heat sinks, thus damaging some of your chips prematurely,  or if you have overclocked your S9 beyond factory specs, it is possible you could have weak or damaged chips which will take longer to tune because they intermittently fail thus causing the auto-tuning to change it's values.

What models and how old are the S9s you are tuning? What is the watt value you are putting on the configuration page? "Horrible hashrates": When the tuning process is on it's last steps it begins "tuning individual chips". The hashrate gets significantly lower when this process begins. I have had rigs take 5 hours to auto-tune at 1200W and 2 hours at 900W. If you are overclocking to 1400W or higher I am guessing this will take much longer. There is no set answer to your question. You just need to be patient until "tuning individual chips" changes to stable for all 3 boards. It could be that your S9s might not work as well with auto-tuning as others have reported here.

UPDATE: I've tried two new power settings for auto-tuning. I put in 1200W on the configuration and it auto-tuned to 1111W at 14.8TH which is 75W/TH. I next entered 910W on the configuration page and it auto-tuned to 834W at 12.04TH, about 69.3W/TH. For my S9i-14TH miners, anything above 910W the efficiency starts to go down.

I have three S9i-14TH miners running at about 36TH and 2500W.

I chose 900W in the configuration with default fan and temp settings and it auto tuned my S9i to 825W at 11.9TH. That's 69.3 W/TH
Another S9i I chose 800W with default fan and temp settings and it auto tuned to 723W at 10.4TH. That's 69.5W/TH. It always ends
up with a watt reading lower than what you choose on the configuration page.

Their website says the scrypt miner is sold out

I agree about "prove their specs". I have not seen a video showing a demo of this miner from a real person hooking
it up to a watt meter,etc, etc. The only images and videos of the miner is from a highly computer-generated promo
video that shows an animated fan spinning on the miner. I can't believe that the first "mass" production is finished
and sold when there is absolutely zero proof that this miner exists outside of their computer-generated promo.
I am not saying it is a scam because no one has lost money over this that I know of. But they probably don't want
to "lose face" over their failure to produce a real product from their hype.

I very much wanted this project to be legit. They are very polite with their correspondences,
but they always say to watch their official website for announcements. Then with no announcement
whatsoever on their website, they tell me their first "mass" production is sold out. No amount of
politeness can put lipstick on this.

Just got this email from them:

Ha.. Almost a unanswerable question.. IF the pool hash rate were steady (ie. not changing due to miners coming and going) then you should be able to figure out
about what your 5N would be by checking the active users/miners tab and finding miners that have the same or as close to your hash rate AND that have been
mining for >100 days.. Unanswerable because if miners leave, your payout may/should/well increase based upon a higher acceptance rate, and obviously lower
the higher the hash rate.  So in essence, there is no hard and fast number to give you.

Thank you for your reply. Basically you're saying that the time for getting to full 5N is constantly changing. The next
logical question is how do you know when you are at full 5N? This stat is not listed in the stat generator above.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. The question is if a miner begins mining at the pool when it takes 50 days to get to full 5N
and then 2 days later it now takes a new miner 100 days to get to full 5N, does the first miner still have 50 days to get to full 5N
or is it now more? "Fractions.....run the numbers" I'm not sure how to "run the numbers" on this question.

Thanks for the info. My S9i LPM miners are running at 14T and 1148 watts. I can hang out here and sip some LaPhroaig and wait for the block.

LOL just 28 hours ago it was about 49 days to full 5N, now it's 105 days and going up as I type.
Not a good incentive to attract new miners. I'm wondering, if one started mining a couple days ago at
40 something days to 5N and now 2 days later it's over 100 days to full 5N, which number of days applies to that miner?

How long for a new miner to reach full 5N right now? What is the calculation for this? Thanks

I live in Oregon. Will my miners jump to another Oregon node or to the LA node?

One thing I forgot to mention, I use the APW5 power supply when I overclock the S9 with this firmware.
