Hi,
I don't mean to meddle, but nonetheless would like to ask: do you pull realtime silver/gold prices off the web and calculate the prices against USD / BTC?

Just out of curiosity: Which shopping cart system do you use?
I use www.bit-pay.com and although I have run into a few issues, their staff quickly looks into and resolves any problems. I would recommend them. I wish that system was available to non-US-residents. Plus, the lady on the frontpage is HAWT.

do you charge VAT for US citizens?
no, I don't charge VAT. i don't "sell", I "trade". since I trade around German retail prices though, this will include VAT, likely (read: rates are "as is"). hope that answers your question.

indeed, if it is such a pain to sign up, is it just as difficult for those who would invest? the pool of potential investors might be quite small? Its worth a try. I'd rather give somebody other than the banks an opportunity.
search some threads and talk to the people at glbse, then decide :-D

go and try! the signup procedure is a pain, but i assume once you're set up and provide for a good idea, a good product and some nice dividends, you'll be good.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to put up some photographs of the different pieces along with something recognizable for size scale? I'm finding myself with some interest but I'm not quite sure what units work out to and things like that. I do much better with visuals anyway. uhm. i pretty much only go to the safe when there's an order, really... that's the beauty of weight measurements - they don't count in inches^^ you can always google these things, maybe someone has already put up something to visually measure things? here's one for "quarter vs. 1oz silver dollar": http://lh3.ggpht.com/wk.auburn.tiger/SIaVxA_4aoI/AAAAAAAAA28/m4W_qU35goQ/P7220033.JPGa 1g coin is roughly 13mm in diameter. a 10th ounce is roughly 16mm in diameter. an ounce coun usually has ~30 to 42mm diameter. one inch is 25,4 millimeters.
