1  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: So, today, Is OpenRigs.com a scam or not? Finally the truth on: March 21, 2014, 07:55:14 PM
Ordered my frame at the end of November during the sale and I'm almost four months out without receipt. That is far more than any possible surface mail estimates.

Not so - our transit timelines on our delivery and returns policy (https://openrigs.com/information/information&information_id=6) and when they are listed on each shipping method during checkout all state that they are transit timelines only, and exclude any other stages in the order. Specifically: "Shipping via regular surface mail typically takes up to 10 weeks (even longer if there are import delays at the destination country - the official stance from the post office is that it can take up to 13 weeks), and via courier typically takes a week or two at the most. Somewhat in the middle is EMS, which normally takes 2-4 weeks to arrive. Note that these timelines are from the day it leaves the country, and excludes the scheduling phase, fabrication, and customs pre-clearance."

Looks like yours has been in transit for around 8.5 weeks, so you should receive it in the next couple of weeks:)

For my order, 10 weeks is up either Tuesday or Thursday of next week, depending on whether you use 1/14 or 1/16 as the date of shipment out of the country. I do not believe the "+" modifies the expectations of the customer, nor should it.

I will be glad to receive the frame if - and when - I finally receive it. But it has been so long now that I have had to go with other options in the interim. I understand some things are out of your control, but an entire third of a year has passed since I ordered the frame. That is simply incredible.

To answer the OP, and to be fair to fluffypony: are they a scam? No, I don't think so. But are some of us dissatisfied with the absurd shipping times we have encountered? Absolutely.

I got this 5.24 mhs rig, it runs normally smoothly, but when i mine on Wafflepool it freezes once or twice every 24 hours. Processes are still running but it does not produce shares and becomes unaccessible via Teamviewer.

I suspect that this behaviour occurs when there is changes, maintenace or other going on at the server.
Recently when mr. Poolwaffle was out of town for couple of days, i witnessed less such behaviour.

So has anyone experienced similar behaviour while mining on Wafflepool?

Is there a particular setting specific to this pool that is off and i have missed it?

Heres the config file from sgminer:

...

I experienced something similar with one of my rigs. It would mine fine for a few hours and then stop submitting shares. I use Chrome Remote Desktop and never had a problem. My suggestion - use CGwatcher and set it to restart the miner if there are no submitted shares in several minutes. I have mine set to restart the miner if no shares are submitted in 2 minutes. Working well so far.

My miners are still connected and submitting accepted shares but the website and wafflestats are not working, sadly.

Order # 726 - my tracking # is CN028931182ZA. Ordered 11/29, supposedly shipped pending customs on 12/19, bag out didn't occur until 1/21. No updates anywhere on any tracking, item still not received. Any ideas? This is really aggravating.

Are you sure about that? Then why is difficulty stuck so high for days at 21 when practically no one is mining?

Last time the diff dropped there was an influx of miners, since profitability spiked according to Coinwarz and the like. They then left when the diff jumped. Now, we have to trudge along until the next readjustment or until KGW is implemented, whichever occurs first. KGW most definitely did not cause the diff to get stuck.

Any of the miners here care to take a look at my thread, I'm having a few problems -

I would try deleting the .bin files in your cgminer directory. Also double-check your overclocking settings in the ATI control panel to make sure some kind of throttling isn't happening. I would also suggest downloading another version of cgminer to another directory and copying your .bat file over.

Thanks mate, I'll give it a go.

I've tried that - new version of cgminer 3.7.2 and still the same Sad

I will try a different PCIe slot on the board.

Edit/ its running like my sole 7950 lol

Very strange. I would try cgminer 3.3.2 or 2.11.3 as well, but I would also change some of your .bat file settings - try worksize 256 instead of 384, make sure it's set to 8192 instead of 8191 (assuming that's a typo), and I would probably remove the temp stuff, but at least increase the temp-target field.

Anybody have any issues with a slow/delayed (by several hours) payout from United Miners? It's been at least 6 hours since I requested cash out and got a transaction ID, but no match for the TX ID in the block explorer and nothing yet.
