1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: March 06, 2014, 08:42:59 PM
Someone made a comment on Reddit about how the coin would be popular as a tipping mechanism in the Anime subreddit. I do believe that to be the case as well. We need a functional Reddit tipbot as soon as possible and promote the coin to those who would surely appreciate it. If I had access to a server and was well versed in online languages, I would edit the open source code of the Altcoin tipbot myself. Alas, I do not and am not. I am, however, willing to donate a few coins to a community bounty designated to its creation and maintenance.

there are no need to change sources. just yml configs, as i see. but, i don't have servers for now  -_-

hey there, I am an experienced web developer and I could also offer free hosting for a tipbot. PM me for bounty offers.

Just to inform you about a "missing" mintcoins observation during PoS:
I am using mintcoin wallet 1.0.0.
When opening the wallet and PoS mining starts, I noticed about 900000 missing mintcoins (should show balance ~2700000 but only showed 1800000).
I just had to wait a couple of minutes and the correct amount was shown in balance, so nothing lost.
Somehow it needs to read a certain amount of blocks to know the correct number of coins in balance (which is a bit strange imo).
The number of coins in stake did not change when the number of coins in balance got corrected...

Any comments from dev side?

This is reproducable.

Was the wallet syncing when you saw this?

You should upgrade to v. 1.4.0.0

yes it synced. i am going to update the wallet.

There needs to be done some markting work I guess...
This coin would fit perfectly for payment in the quite big japanese anime market.
Though I don't have any business contacts to japan, maybe somebody else??

Hey guys,

I am a newbie with respect to mining. Boris already answered many questions but I do have some more. As I don't want him to waste time on answering my questions, maybe you could help out:
1) Once I put up my mining rig and got everything running, can I just leave it alone and it will keep going? How much maintenance and supervision (updates or whatever) is required? Is it a problem to leave the system alone for a whole day (12-16 hours)?
2) The power required to run the GPUs, does it increase proportionally to the number of GPUs deployed?
3) Can you put that system up in your bedroom? I have an open apartment with one huge single room
4) Any other general recommendations apart from the hardware?

Thx and cheers!

1) If cooling is decent it can/should be run all alone. Set up cgwatcher to handle re-connects or failovers.
2) Yes, lets assume you have a rig with 2 same cards, each 150 Watts consumption. Putting a third same card into it will raise the total rig consumption by 150 Watts
3) With mine (3x280x) it would not work out for me, too loud... although it would be a decent heater at winter time ;-)
4) not really

ypool threw all?
how to get coins?

If you had at least 1 coin at ypool, just go on to the site, and set auto payout threshold at 1.

there is no logo maxcoin!
I have the 2.85 maxcoin!

probably the maxcoin pool is down for maintenance. ypool is well established, they won't steal your 2.85 maxcoins ;-)

lol those cryptsy buy orders. did someone forget a zero

cryptsy trade history:
Date   Type   Price Each (BTC)   VTC Traded   Total BTC

2014-02-04 19:47:48   Buy   0.10000000   0.10000000   0.01000000
2014-02-04 19:47:14   Buy   0.05600000   0.76248069   0.04269892
2014-02-04 19:47:14   Buy   0.05500000   0.10000000   0.00550000

This must be testing or artificial market pushing... ridiculous...

Hi there,
I am just about to start mining.
Originially I wanted to go into Litecoin, but due to the profitability charts on coinwarz.com I decided to start with different alt-coins.
I am going to streamline my mining strategies with a self-written script.

Hardware spec:
Board:     ASRock 970 Extreme4
CPU:         AMD Sempron 145
RAM:        4GB G.SKILL DDR3 SDRAM (2 x 2GB)
Power:      Corsair AX1200i
HDD:        Toshiba MQ01ABD032 320GB
GPU:        3 x Sapphire VaporX R9 280x

All parts are here on my desk, I will start assembling asap.

Any recommendations regarding a good performing multi alt-coin pool?
I already tried miningpool.co with a low-end setup but it seems to have payout problems from time to time.
