6970 BLOWIN UP THOSE 2 7970s WUT?? Is this the cards or the miner not being efficient? That is not just Miner Issue, JHA has designed to get the higher result for the higher performance in compute unit, AMD has changed their stream processor from VLIW to SIMD, it means, reduce the computing power but, increase data processing power. It is the best way to integrate more data processing unit which needed to support the graphics (3D and 2D). VLIW has higher performance at Calucation SIMD has higher performance at Data Processing The other algorithms are depend on the data proessing power instead of computing power, It is why AMD processor has much higher performance than nVIDIA or CPU, it is why 5xxx/6xxxx or nVIDID or CPU has much higher(relatively) performance in JHA, AND, One more critical factor is the OpenCL compiler from AMD, it is really really sucks, I have tried to optimize OpenCL kernel for GCN processor, This compiler is compling very strangely, some time going well, some time it generate too much gabages. Ahh, thanks for the great explanation!! Makes sense now.

BIG RED LETTERS. IF COIN ISNT LAUNCHED ON BITCOINTALK FIRST IT IS NOT FAIR, IT IS SCAM.
Who stated this? Is there some sort of rules everyone has to abide to? THE BIG RED LETTERS STATED THIS MANY TEARS AGO.

Anyone else getting faster hashrate with HD6970 GPUs over R9 280X??
My 280x gpus hash at 2.2MH/s and the 6970s hash at 3.2MH/s!!
WTF,really? Yea lol. I have tried many settings and nothing seems to make a difference on the 280s. I am using Powercolor PCS+ 6970 GPUs.

Ok, but see post above. We mined enough blocks to make the block-chain stable and to extract checkpoints. This is what flubber posted above No not true I was fast with solo and found 22 blocks before block 190 ... Already 250+ blocks mined when DEV posted wallets, DEV friends are happy!
this flubber is a lying sack of shit LOL. Not sure why the dev would quote this without comment..... Regardless the countdown clock was definitely up on the website past block 250. Aside from the minor annoyance of missing the launch due to this, I think this coin looks promising. Their comment is above the quote. Maybe it was put up on their site last?

http://blog.gbcoinfoundation.org/vps-issue/Apologies for the delay in launching GB Coin, we have VPS issues and are working to resolve them now. Once resolved, we will release all wallets and source. Apologies for the delay again. total amateurs. QQshit happens, I don't blame them Blame murphy's law That's not the problem. It's how the shit is handled that's the problem. Like we have all day to sit around and wait an indefinite amount of time. If it's broke - leave it until tomorrow so it can be a fair launch. Should be expected by now, I make sure I have an hour after official launch time because this happens a lot. Be Prepared.

I just wanted to let everyone know that they should check their gridseed units to make sure that the heatsink actually is touching the chips.
One of my units had a heatsink that must have been machined too far down, the thermal pad wasn't even touching anything, the pad looked brand new when I opened it for voltmod.
I could easily see a flashlight through the whole unit where the heatsink would normally be touching the chips.
I had to smash the heatsink down sliding the fins between each other about 2mm and tighten the screws real good to ensure a secure contact with the chips.
Luckily, I haven't used the miners for mining SHA256, only Scrypt, so my chips didn't get damaged.

I kept having wallet issues with syncing and getting stuck, I just dumped my privkeys and started fresh. Everything is working fine so far since import.
Just deleted all files in roaming\probe (backup wallet just in case) and ran from latest windows wallet. No config used.
But that really will not help, if the blockexplorer (+nxt-e.com?) and the official node (+cpu-pool.net?) are on different forks.. ahh yes true, didn't realize that.
