Do you have a time frame, theymos? Considering placing a bid, just want to be thorough.

I won't accept a bid earlier than 2 weeks from now. I want to get someone working on code before the end of the month.

Whoops, I meant delivery/milestone time frames, sorry!
83  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum on: January 04, 2012, 03:16:58 AM
I'd be willing to do this software for 650BTC however I will have to find someone to do the design for me.

I gotta add that this kind of software sounds highly specific to just rewrite current software you'd have to do from scratch other wise you are risking your self to exploits that your un-aware of. If I were to accept this offer you can expect it to take 3 months until a fully tested, bug free, exploit scanned with more then one software suite, and tested on multiple browsers.

Ones that are designed to be extensible and completely customized out of the box would be well suited for this task. I'm thinking PunBB, as it was designed to be extensible (and the contributors and project leaders have executed this design well) and is licensed under GNU GPL.

I should have known that posting that would bring back the goons, nhodges you have my apology
According to the Free Dictionary, a "goon" is:
A thug hired to intimidate or harm opponents.

I haven't been hired by anyone. All opinions expressed by me represent my own and not those of any other person.

goon also is used to refer to a member of the SA forum but you knew that already

Here's one for the goons.

85  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] Web developer for several projects. on: January 01, 2012, 10:49:20 PM
all you need to setup hosting business is WHM http://cpanel.net/products/cpanelwhm/index.html and someone capable administering it. there might be other similar solutions out there but WHM is pretty common
Awesome, that URL eliminated so many questions I had.  TYVM!!

I can set up WHM.

I'd be willing to do this for bitcoins and some resources (CPU/bandwidth/storage) for some of my own projects.
PM'd!

Make sure you have a license for WHM otherwise you'll get reported before you know what hit you the SECOND you start doing any sort of advertising outside of these forums. Personal experience.

That's so cool! No more boring black ones! People should post ones that they have made here so we can see some of the variety that is possible.

I would love that!

@Users: Please feel free to acquiesce to mc_lovin's request! We also have a public gallery on QRustom that you can share your QR codes to!
87  Economy / Services / Generate and Track Customized QR Codes on: December 29, 2011, 06:37:18 PM
Got an idea for a custom QR code, but don't want to (or can't afford to) hire a designer? Well, at QRustom you can create custom QR codes with alternate colors, gradients, and patterns; you can even upload graphics to overlay onto your custom QR code. QRustom supports most standard QR code data formats, including plaintext, URL, vCal, and vCard.

Generate beautiful QR codes to use in a mobile marketing campaign, local event flyer, or other practical application. QR code use case possibilities are endless! And, you can create QR codes like the ones below without anyone giving the slightest MENTION of Photoshop.

Creating codes is completely free. If you register, you can store and track up to five QR codes with a basic (free) account. If you want to store and track more codes, there are paid accounts available. (We accept Bitcoin!)

We'd love to hear your feedback! What could we be doing better? What should we add? Let us know!

90  Economy / Services / Re: 10 BTC to give me working PHP code that will work with Dwolla REST API on: November 20, 2011, 05:19:18 AM
Dwolla took for ever to accept my application this time usually they are quick, can someone get a simple "Send" command working with dwolla endpoints. I'm willing to work with you as Dwolla provides very little working examples to get you in the right direction. I've been sitting on this project for 2 months now I would like to have it finished quick status can someone do this for me?

10BTC still stands willing to negotiate.
-------------------------------------------

Back info: I can get connected, and I can check my balance, but I can't do POST json requests at all! I have working code if you need something to go based off of

Just a note to users who might still attempt this, I believe my solution is working for Xenland, he's just doing some final testing/confirmation.

System > Preferences > Remote Desktop Preferences

You can enable VNC via that panel, it's kind of misleading since it doesn't really use RDP.

Most likely an xorg.conf issue with your video.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone looks onto melting buywall on: October 17, 2011, 08:43:30 PM
Well, those folks hoarding thousands of bitcoins must be panicking about now. It looks like the ship has sunk. I enjoyed the ride and it cost me less than any typical vice. Long live Bitcoin!

Your thinking is backwards, the people hoarding thousands of bitcoins have been hoarding them since before they were worth even a penny. They are still up, a whole lot.

Soooo, any explanation why the site was down for the majority of this week?

I was just considering implementing the API and now I am afraid to rely on it.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox adds redeemer for private keys including Casascius Physical Bitcoins on: October 07, 2011, 04:07:53 AM
Of course it supports it all you have to do is tell Mt Gox to send Bitcoins to the corresponding public key, however since you have imported the private key into your Mt Gox account the coins would just be sent from your Mt Gox account back into your Mt Gox account, unless I am missing something in your question.

I want to send out transactions specifically from the wallet I uploaded to a specified recipient (outside Mt. Gox)
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bit-pay Merchant Solutions for Charities & Non-Profits on: October 07, 2011, 04:06:51 AM
1)Both wikileaks and the EFF do not take donations in bitcoin....HINT HINT HINT
2)The charity has liability for what happens with bit-pay...but bit-pay is the same as Visa right? LOL.
3)Someone should read about the record keeping requirements for a charitable contribution.

Im not listing all the problems with your scam.

WikiLeaks does ... http://wikileaks.org/Donate.html
