Ok so we got the odds, now on to figuring out the prize. Upside is easy, Putin is toppled Russia is a shithole. But downside is...nuclear war? The best our diplomacy can come up with is lets use a nuclear financial option on a 69yr Putin, and hope really hard he doesn't take it as a declaration of war as he said he would?
I wasn't talking about the nuke odds, only about the odds of uniting for or against Putin if the situation in Russia gets really dire. As we've seen recently and not just recently, things Putin says have little to do with reality. He may launch or not launch the nukes for any reason or no reason at all. Trying to appease him, or to guess what he'll do next - doesn't work. And using a last resort nuclear financial option has a lot to do with reality? Logic being taking someones money and bringing financial collapse is not a declaration of war? Kinda weak if that's the best we're playing with Oh stop saying financial attacks are "nuclear", your hyperbole is sickening. |

Nobody here 'really' knows what is the situation in Ukraine, probably. I watched sky news, looked at the websites and all I can find, basically, is that "the fight continues". Of course, it is all quite terrible. The battle for Kiev is already a hell without Russians. The puppet government in Kiev handed out guns and ammunition to population. Now shops and banks are being robbed one after another by street gangs and looters. Does Putin give you a tissue to clean that up afterwards? Truth is uncomfortable and often painful, right?   |

I agree but that kinda depends on how that would work. (Though I'm not sure how I feel about adding it over all. Just saying that it's not completely trivial. I think there would need to be a consensus that people wanted it). Absolutely and I would vote against it but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want it to have a chance if others wanted it. It's just a bit of Perl scripting. That's not very fashionable these days but works well for me. There's not much fancy about it, just HTTP POST stuff. Pretty ironic but my covid passed two days ago ... Just yesterday, I managed to pick up some members of my family from Kyiv and moved them to the south of the country, but unfortunately I see real operational reports that say that columns of Russian equipment are moving closer to my house (despite 3,000 dead). And I cannot describe what pain is in my heart because I am from the region where they speak and think in Russian, moreover, until yesterday, I had a normal attitude towards Russia, since every second family in Ukraine has close relatives in a brotherly country. I think when I fully take care of the safety of my family, I will also consider all possible options for protecting my land. At the moment, battles are being fought near Kiev with sabotage groups and the regular army of Russia, but it is unlikely that Kyiv will be captured, since, according to my calculations, at least 20,000 volunteers received weapons in the last 24 hours. About time Russia and China were erased from the world map.
I find it hard to believe that we do not know where these leaders are at 24/7. The issue is our leaders are afraid of that option as they know it would open them up to that same avenue. Its a unwritten rule they don't target each other. Those that hold the reins of power would rather see their entire population pay the price for their fuckups rather than paying for those themselfs. This has been the case for all human history. This has to change and when it does and those in power feel the repercussions themselfs the world will be a better place. But this shithole of a system doesn't even make industry leaders pay for murder so the hurdle of accountability is beyond the populouses ability the change. Ukraine were gifted many drones from Turkey. If they are the high altitude type, I would have targeted the Kremlin immediately after yesterday. Fuck em. Just seeing that clown tower destroyed would have been a great victory. I was going to post a putin head shot with a crosshair or dot on his forehead but cannot find one. I wonder if they get scrubbed? |
