Wow, I guess I set a big firestorm with the title 'first Decentralized anon' , I saw 'First anonymous coin' on Darkcoin thread and felt Vootcoin is the truly first anonymous coin.

How can it be the first decentralized anon coin when it's not even anon.  There are other coins that already use coinjoin technology you scam artist.

How can Darkcoin be the first when Bitcoin uses same technology?  The pre-release whitepaper is just 1 page only that convinced people about NiteSend. Nite69 is a great programmer, you can check his previous work. Nitesend only took him 2 weeks to code and he's working only weekends. I am gonna burn you all the release   Cool

Why do you keep mentioning Darkcoin. I don't care about Darkcoin
he just wants to see the white paper, so he could feel like being part of the group, i say he needs a group hug!

DRK will certainly be threatened."

If this goes to an extreme confusion... Due to the take-over... I will just have the whole coin 1:1 swapped-over to a complete rebranding. (It will NOT be known as HonorCoin in the future. There is just too much confusion with recycling that name now.)

I will create a new forum name, for the coin, that can be passed-on to any active dev-team, as well as a full website.

I would hold-off on donations, for the time being. The person/group or whoever, that was taking this over, has not replied to me, or anyone-else. Not sure if it is due to complications or something-else. However, better to be on the side of caution.

I am in the IRC room, but Jarvis has not responded there, and has not come back since he left the other day.
i understand we need someone more active and open to discussion, has most of find our self waiting to get an answer about details it feels like we are left on the dark.

First Voot Mobile Wallet!

I have developed a Voot specialized wallet for both android and iOS(pending apple approval).

VootMobile allows you to quickly check balances, display your address for payment, and scan QR codes and send payments. VootMobile uses the existing Voot Wallet via the JSON-RPC so your keys and the blockchain live on your desktop, rather than your phone.

For a live demo, see https://app.io/dO5t9L
Download from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binome.voot

If you like Voot and want to support further developments, feel free to kick a few Voots over to VHpFTKpg9vRJujM4VAYqyjcZ69FHYhdkzX

For some further explanation on why I chose to develop a front-end vs a complete mobile wallet implementation,

I chose to make a remote wallet rather than a standalone one as I don't trust the existing implementations of core cryptocurrency primitives in Javascript and especially on mobile platforms. The RNG's on mobile platforms are weak and have caused serious weaknesses that have been exploited before

See https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2013-08-11-android.

Standalone wallets also have a number of challenges such as long sync times, or reliance on a single party/central service for blockchain verification(blockchain.info)

Also, many of the existing platforms for doing web wallets or hybrid wallets do not properly implement change addresses, which compromise some of the initial anonymity goals.

My remote control solution keeps the mobile side as lightweight as possible. and ensures that mobile transactions have the same security levels as transactions sent by your PC wallet. All of the JS code is read from local storage so there is no possible way to push down an unauthorized new JS file and mass compromise wallets.

Hi,
If i remember correct you did same for cinni coin... Isnt it?
yea he did, pretty cool im going to try it out.

I don't think the new coin will be ready by the date they wanted.

Assume it isn't going to be ready, and the coin will continue exactly like it is now. No coin-doubling and no extended POW.

If there is an issue, I will see what I can personally do, to get this moving forward again.

At the moment, I have acquired about 4% of the total coins, by buying them from those selling. However, I would not just "give them away", as that would only cause the coins value to drop, as people dumped them.

We have a solid foundation to build upon. Now all we need are buildings.

I would like to have some form of vote-system setup, where coin-holders could cast votes, using the coins themselves. (Coins would not be "spent", however, they would be "locked" like they do for POS, for a designated period of time.) This, to cast votes by the majority holders, and also to reduce the inflation of POS rewards, to further increase value. Also, this could be extended to a paid-vote system, where the votes count as donations, but only to the winners of the vote. (Think of it like bidding-votes. If you supported flying cars, and others supported boats... If boats win, then those who supported flying cars shouldn't have to pay. They wanted flying cars. xD)

If we can get a multipool setup, I would be glad to use some of my knowledge to guide it to acquiring more value for us. (Since auto-multi-pools are essentially garbage that can be manipulated into mining pure junk for 100% losses.) However, this would be an external function to the coin, not an integration. It would require a "destroy coin address" to be found. (I will explain that process and purpose when needed, if it is needed.)

Hi All,

Crypteon has just opened a KORE/BTC market. We are a new exchange that focus in security and smooth mobile experience.

Bitcointalk Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=605486.0
URL: https://www.crypteon.net/markets/view/8

We are a group of software engineers in SF bay area who care about the crypto currency movement, mine and trade crypto currencies. Crypteon is a startup project that we have been planning and building since early March.

Recently we noticed the prevalence of scamming exchanges. It was painful to see how scammers exploit the crypto currency community. Here we want to emphasize that we are a legit exchange and operate with honesty and integrity. Trust has to be built, meanwhile we will do our best to provide excellent service, maintain great communication with our users and be as transparent as possible when answering any question.

Please let us know if there is any question =)

Best,
Lead Crypteon Dev
Sunny
nice thanks sunny, ill check it out!
