101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Friendshipcoin | The coin for Friends! | 0 Premine on: February 12, 2014, 06:37:44 AM
I have the following in friendshipcoin.conf with new wallet,

rpcuser=friend
rpcpassword=changeme
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
listen=1
addnode=54.200.168.187:37636
addnode=24.236.46.2:37636
addnode=54.200.36.240:37637
addnode=107.170.28.13:37637

still ........block source not available

Not a scam coin (and a better launch than lemoncoin and antimatter coin today!) works for me

my conf:
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=friend
rpcpassword=coin
rpcport=37637
addnode=54.200.168.187:37636
addnode=24.236.46.2:37636
addnode=54.200.36.240:37637
addnode=107.170.28.13:37637
gen=0

IF YOU ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE WALLET, GET THE NEW ONE
https://mega.co.nz/#!HctjBR6Z!pA-xZIiXUXi3Xg2CyDEzZe6LWsIuhs_TzMSNX998KuE

That should fix the sync problems
works now

addnode=54.200.168.187:37636
addnode=24.236.46.2:37636
addnode=54.200.36.240:37637
addnode=107.170.28.13:37637

Syncing with these nodes and new wallet.  Love the name of the coin btw!  It's funnier to me than dogecoin...
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] VOTE for NAME for COINYE = 1 VOTE PER USER. - READ BEFORE YOU VOTE!! on: January 20, 2014, 09:06:27 PM
Use the leet alphabet and go with KO1NY3.
Clever idea ^^

Voted KOIN in the poll, it's catching on.  Who cares what it sounds like?  I mean we are voting for abbreviations for possible exchanges, not the client.  No one complains about not being able to pronounce, "btc"

If you really want a client name change... It is true coinyes rolls off the tongue, but it is terrible to make plural.  Coinyes' ?! Coinyeszis?

12 other possibilities: COY, CYE, COI, CIN, CNE, COINE, and all of those with a K instead (for example KOY)

105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Place to trade DOGE/BTC? on: January 09, 2014, 10:59:15 PM
Looking for low fees good volume... using cryptsy right now and wanted other opinions.

I've traded DOGE on Vircurex and Cryptsy.  Vircurex was much faster for deposits, withdrawals, and trading.  The only downside is there aren't as many coins to trade on Vircurex.

If I recall correctly there's a .2% trading fee for DOGE, and a 5 DOGE withdrawal fee.

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kanye West suing creators of Coinye... on: January 09, 2014, 08:30:33 AM
Bottom line is he cannot sue. The devs have changed the logo which was the main concern in the legal docs.

It seems it will turn out that way.  Even if sued, I think the Coinye devs can use the defence of parody.
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbie who has been playing with cryptos since 2011 on: January 09, 2014, 08:21:49 AM
I have been on the forums for more than 4 hours, and this is my third post, I suppose I've become a member now.  Might as well give an introduction.

After playing around with Bitcoin and other cryptos, I've found Bitcoin has made a huge imprint on the financial world and some companies are getting nervous.  It seems like everyone is talking about it now.  It didn't used to be that way.  For example, Paypal used to seem like it was excited about Bitcoin back when they said they were considering Bitcoin implementation.  Now it seems they are worried and want to compete.  I see this Paypal ad a lot of a lady walking into a shop with her cell phone, pressing the price she needs to pay in front of the cashier, clicking, "send", and mentioning how quick and easy it is.  It seems that is where a lot of people want Bitcoin to be.  I think that we will get there soon, and we all need to try contribute to legal bitcoin businesses.

Anyway I am excited to get more involved in the Bitcoin/altcoin community.  I have mined Bitcoin/Litecoin on and off since 2011.  Besides Bitcoin of course, as I'm writing there's a lot of hype right now over Dogecoin and CoinyeCoin right now.  Tongue
109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coins first exchange on: January 09, 2014, 01:39:46 AM
Cool I only ask cause coinye is getting a lot of media attention and could blow up like doge. I'm also mining on just 500kh/s right now so its more profit to invest at the bottom and sell at the top.

That's not a bad hashrate!
There's a lot of new people getting in on Coinye.  To benefit from a possible addition of the coin to Cryptsy you can continue mining now or buy from here or a market on Reddit.  It would probably be a good idea to load up Bitcoin on Cryptsy now so you can buy at the right time.  Pay close attention to Cryptsy's Twitter, and buy right as it hits the market.  Then be prepared to sell very soon.  There will be a wild and short price fluctuation most likely.   It's a gamble, as the market it hits might not even be Cryptsy.

It's a good way to prevent spamming for giveaways, that's for sure!
