I saw crypto that is backed by real estate and it does not work as it intended to be, so you should be very careful investing in the projects like this, because of high limitation of growth frequency. I think it would work, but just needs a good dedicated team behind the project. Growth thing is one aspect of this for sure. This is something they have to figure out.

Bitcoin seems to be stabilizing around $6.5-6.6k. It has been like this for the last 3 months. It doesn't seem to be the same way it has been the past 3 years. Very curious to see what is going to happen in November and December.

I agree. Bitcoin getting into the mainstream culture is only a good thing for Bitcoin itself and for crypto in general. Will attract more people, bring fresh blood and money. Do you think that people, who haven't heard about crypto, hear these songs, then will they begin to look into it and eventually be part of it? Buy Bitcoin for example after they hear a Soulja Boy's Bitcoin song?
bitcoin is a very popular thing, there is a possibility they will learn about crypto after listening to this song, because anyone can be very interested if deep curiosity

Crypto is not worthy to the gold at all. These are too different things and it is wrong decision to compare them. I prefer to think that they are worthy with their own.
Yes, they are different things. But you still could back crypto with real gold.

When investing in Bitcoin, I wouldn't think of it as a short-term investment rather than long-term. So, just an advice, don't look the price right now, think of the big picture and a couple of years ahead.

I think of Bitcoin as a currency, not an investment. It is fast, cheap compared to anything that banks offer. The price volatility is just something that comes with it.

So, is it good for the ICO-s to do the bounty campaigns when their token prices plummet because of the selloff? I see a lot of bounty campaign threads here as well..

Did the recent fall indicate that it might not be the case this year? That this year will be different from the previous ones?

Wow, that's a pretty interesting fact. While 71% of Americans have heard about Bitcoin, only 13% of them have used Bitcoin in some sort of form. Would be nice to hear why they haven't used it. - Despite the widespread acknowledgement of bitcoin, few respondents were directly involved with the world’s largest cryptocurrency; of those who had heard of bitcoin, 87% have had no interaction with it, which means they haven’t bought, sold, or mined bitcoin

While some of the points in your post I can agree with, then Bitcoin losing its meaning and value, I just can't agree. I think it is still gathering momentum and more and more people and businesses start accepting it. Each day more people become aware of Bitcoin and aware of the possibilities that come with it. I don't think Bitcoin has peaked and accomplished what Satoshi envisioned. And it is nowhere near losing its meaning or value. Bitcoins losing meaning and value is natural, its not capable to manage the worlds economy, you freaks dont understand that because you dont want to face and consider the complexity of the worlds socioeconomic structure, thinking you could replace all currencies with a currency that is based on race about installed computation power without imense social, cultural, and economic consequence was a ridiculous idea in the first place, that drove the ponzi scheme hype and was nothing but a naive illusion, wich you used to collect followers.
nevertheless some good thing remain, of bitcoins shortlived existance
an online kapital market, and a more decentral kapital market where the influence of the national banking cartel is reduced,
exactly what satoshi wanted.
i doubt satoshi was so stupid to actually think that he would replace all currencies with bitcoin like all his followers did.
satoshi was seeking to reduce the influence of the banking cartels, and i think he achieved what he wanted.

I got a friend with whom we argue about Bitcoin and crypto overall. You just need to have clear arguments for his/her opinions and stay calm, positive. I mean, there are so many positive sides for Bitcoin and crypto that you can't lose the debate.

Definitely target younger people as they are more open to taking risks and adopting new technologies and ideas. I would say 18-35 is the ideal age group to target.

Just don't hold all your coins on the exchange, use a wallet to store them. Only keep as much as you need for trading on the exchange.
