101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: November 24, 2014, 06:47:59 PM
Has anyone managed to get in touch with Griffith?
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 23, 2014, 02:05:37 AM

Now to EVERYONE

I still vote for Griffith to become the main developer for Supercoin as others aren't able to do so right now.
I can see that he isn't very temperamental and can handle the pressure. Personally, I like his character.
Coding skills can always improve. Personality however isn't that easy to change. So he wins my vote. Tongue

But it would be great if other devs help from time to time also as 1 person is never enough anyways.
Everyone can chip in their bit into the code to improve it. Isn't that what open source is all about? Grin Grin
If that happens, the community will be here to help also. (bounty, marketing, ideas, etc etc)

So let's start a vote people. It's now a community's coin. Wink

+1 Well said jakiman

I, too, like the way Griffith performed during, um... stress testing.

As an early miner and long-term hodler, I would like to see him take over development.

As I stated before, my vote goes to Griffith. I have a feeling we would not regret it ... only a feeling though, I'm far from being an oracle Wink

yeah, i know, my initial review when i drew the diagram out on paper and made my first diagnostic of the coin was pretty far off, i made some looping mistakes and thought it was burning off coins by moving them around a lot. but the mixers didnt have the loop i thought they had and this turned out to be not true. that was so bad lol. so yes, i can admit when i thought there were loops in the mixers in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736705.msg9605259#msg9605259 i was wrong. i admit that.

the second part was fine though. you can, as the code is right now, find the sender and receiver of the supersend transactions as i corrected myself in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736705.msg9615638#msg9615638 and that is completely correct

your 2nd part is way off too, see above messages from marseille, strasboug, and many others.

marseille, strasboug, supercoin, supercoindev all French, same English level ... . Could more than one be the same person? the intensity of the discussion was dying so ...

I like Griffith and the way he behaves and reacts to accusations. He may not be Satoshi but all here accusing and attacking aren't Satoshi either. So, if I had a vote I would go with Griffith, at least until Satoshi turns up to help us Wink

wouldnt be surprised if that was the case. considering some of the accounts were made within 30 min of each other. however, that proves nothing.

lost in technical discussions now engage in a vicious personal attack? shame!

yet you (all accounts) started with personal insults. and i didnt say you were all the same person. i said i wouldnt be surprised. please stop putting words into my mouth.

Well, the approach from all of them is the same. Insult first, then they show how clever they are and how nobody else can understand as his code is so good, and then all say they have no time as they are too busy. When I read some of the post I needed to check who's writing. In any case it wasn't Griffith that brought this up, it was me after seeing some similarities in behaviour and the fact that all 4 were French. Saying that I have to say that I have nothing against the French, nor against supercoindev and his friends, I do care for Supercoin cause I have quite a few and I see Griffith as a decent person first and a potential good dev. But this is only my opinion and I could be totally wrong, so apologies in advance if somebody feels I stepped over the line.

its ok. they probably wont respond to anyone besides me since i am the target. it doesnt really matter to me. dont worry, you are fine. i was messaged about it possibly being the case that you pointed out from a few other people as well. no harm done to me. so dont worry

I'm really sorry because we do need you and there seems to be agenda to run you away. I believe supercoindev doesn't want the coin to succeed without him and that showed with him releasing the code to everybody at the same time instead of giving the Supercoin owners/users/investors a head-start. It is a shame really, but that is how I see things. Hope you can reconsider your decision. I would like to ask the rest of the community to express their thoughts and if they do want you to stay and help to shout that loud enough.

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends on 22 November[Updates&Discussion] on: November 20, 2014, 05:32:04 PM
I'm really worried about the price. I can't believe i'm the only one.

And i'm worried because i see no reason for this falling: it can't be the fall of nxt price!

The price in NXT has risen during the last week (at least according to nxtreporting allthough i don't trust that).
Why are you worried about the price at all ? NEM is a long term project and I can guarantee that there will be highs and lows.
Panic sells are exactly what makes all cryptos so volatile (that and manipulators of course).

i'm worried because i see no reason for this falling. I think it's normal be worry in this situation.
Why do you think we are in panic sells?
Why do you have this worry?
we have the solid community base and I believe we will all want the NEM  to da moon!

i've seen to money good coins die right after the launch...
and, even when they were dying, their communities keep going to say: "to da moon"...

If you think this is any other coin (or just a coin), probably you are in the wrong place. If you look at the last 1000 posts you are probably one of the very few talking or worried about the price. I would say to you, relax and let the devs continue with their amazing work and time will tell. In a year or so, or even in a few months if you can't wait, we can start talking about the price.  Relax man, is not that you are risking your life's edit : savings Wink

i'm only one person who was left disappointed too many times Sad

Really hope that this coin is different!

Long live NEM!

I know what you mean. I have also been disappointed myself, most of the time for lack of judgement or lack of knowledge. But this is a different story, you will see!!

I know, many people may have asked this question already. But here we go.
On Octobre 5th, I got a token through PM - no infos about what to do with it.
Now I read that I am too late to claim my stake... and I read about phase 1, 2, 3 and deadlines.

I was away for a long time and never thought it would be "too late" to get my full NEM stake.

So, please someone tell me, what I have to do to get my full stake. Thanks in advance.

You can claim after launch. Stick around and we will process you then.

Just to clarify as you did not get a straight answer. Based on the rules at the time you joined the movement you would have lost your stake for not claiming it on time. Based on the new rules, agreed by the community, you will have an extra 3 months to claim but with a penalty. If you were to claim :

- 1 month after launch you get 75% of the stake (that would be the best scenario for you right now)
- 2 months after launch you get 50%
- 3 months after 25%

I'm sure you will be disappointed about this, but you still get loads of NEM and I think you should be happy some people fought to extend the deadline as otherwise you would have been even more disappointed right now. Please check the thread at least once every 2 weeks and you should be fine claiming your 75% of the stake.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Millennium Coin (MIL) on: November 18, 2014, 11:11:48 PM

The development branch for MIL 2 is here
https://github.com/YarkoL/MillenniumCoin

This is nearly sub-alpha, only testnet-enabled, so use
testnet=1 in conf or -testnet switch. Can be X11 mined to
generate testnet coins.

Those with linux are encouraged to build and play around. No UI features yet,
except you can set the advertised balance (the percentage of total balance
used to fund delegate transactions) in wallet options window.

Delegate transactions can currently  be done via console:

Code:
sendbydelegate <receiver address> <amount of MIL>

To find out the the delegates you are currently connected to use

Code:
listadvertisedbalances

I will be putting up a permanent test node with advertised balance soon

Wouldn't know how to test this otherwise I would give it a try. Nice to see the progress though ...
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends on 22 November[Updates&Discussion] on: November 18, 2014, 11:07:35 PM
nope Sad
The nxt address isn't listed at the moment.
Other addresses which have sent their stakes are missing, too.
I'm hoping that this list will be generated by hand and will bei updated tomorrow Smiley

Guess I'm wrong then, but I hope patmast3r doesn't have to do it manually... He is probably the best person to clarify this.

Hello Everyone! Smiley

We looked into IMJim's request and it looks like wallet isn't asking for password before sending coins ONLY when You're unlocking Your wallet by clicking the button in the Overview wallet page ("Unlock wallet" button, rigth below "Recent Transactions")
When You're unlocking the wallet the classic way - Settings > Unclock wallet there is "for staking only" option.
We suggest to use unlock Your wallet through Settings page, if You want to keep it locked while staking.
We will add "for staking only" option to the "Unlock wallet" button in the overview page in the next wallet update Wink
Thank You & Stay Tuned!
Cheers!

- Navajo Coin Development Team

Hello Smiley
I redeemed my 0.1NEMstake (AE on NXT) two days ago and I'm not on the Stakes list. Is this list automatik up to date, or is there someone who ist
updating the list continously by hand?

The list refreshes automatically. Have you looked in the list (chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered) for the NXT address you sent your stake from? If you did everything correctly I believe your address should be in the list.

PoI competition

Introduction

The goal of this competition to promote more active use of the beta software and to encourage people to try to take advantage of, and learn about the proof of importance algorithm by manipulating importance score through transactions to the benefit of the account holder. There will be some simple rules and guidelines that users will be required to follow but aside from some basic rules users are free to do as they like in an attempt to raise their importance. Upon completion of the competition, the winner will be rewarded with a prize of one NemStake.

Aim

The aim is for participants to raise their importance whilst retaining the most amount of the initial amount of nem that was provided to participants. For example, user A and user B get 10,000,000 nem. if both user A and user B increase their importance by 1% but user A retains 9,000,000 while user B retains 9,500,000 nem, user A increased his importance by 0.000001% per nemcoin spent where as user B increased his importance by 0.000002% per nemcoin spent. User B increased his importance most in terms of percent per nemcoin spent thus winning the competition.

Rules

  • All participants will be given private keys that will open accounts that contain equal amounts of nem. These will be users “Primary accounts”
  • Users are allowed to open as many secondary accounts as they wish.
  • A minimum of 10 transactions must be made using your “Primary account” to be eligible for the prize.
  • The submitted importance score must be on the “Primary account”.
  • Any remaining “dust” in secondary accounts must be returned to the “Primary account” before submission of account data.
  • Remaining dust that cannot be sent is excluded from calculations.
  • Importance score of secondary accounts will not be taken into account.

Start date

This competition will Start Wednesday evening at 8pm GMT. If you would like to participate please contact me as soon as possible via PM to ensure your place and i will assign a primary account to you. I will then send you a private key Wednesday evening prior to the start of the competition that will give you access to your “primary account”.

Note: The nem team reserves the right to disqualify any participants if rules have been found to be broken.

Please direct discussion about this competition here

bump.. only 10 people signed up so far.. common guys thats 1/10 chance of winning a whole stake. you dont need to be a poi pro to participate. Smiley

deal me in bro.  Cheesy

I'll give it a try just for fun. Not really sure yet what I'm supposed to do though ...

Why is Polo still frozen?
Has anyone from the team contacted them?

Hi,

we do not exactly know what they are doing, but seems like normal maintenance. Sum2Dev already sent them an email.

I asked on the trollbox:
shahim: GeezUp, can you tell me why nav is frozen suddenly? wallet resync?
GeezUp: shahim, checking
shahim: GeezUp, thank you!
GeezUp: shahim, maintenance

So I guess it is resyncing. We will keep you informed, as we get new information.

Shahim

oh and btw... there are some coins actuially frozen on polo. I guess they had some technical issues also and have to resync everything now or something .... just a guess

NAV unfrozen in Polo. Market has resumed as normal
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: November 16, 2014, 02:20:56 AM

We'll keep bumping this date to remind NEMsters the date.

REDEEM YOUR AE & BTT STAKES BEFORE NOVEMBER 22, 2014

CHEERS GUYS

See this is what I don't understand, ya'll keep saying this deadline but when I try to redeem my stake I get the error "That token has not been registered in time. You will need to claim after launch"
you missed the first phase. That's why you are getting that message and Why you will have to redeem after launch. If you had registered your token in phase 1 this step would be fine.

Ok so why say to redeem my stake if I cant till after release

That is for people who registered the token before the deadline and still have not redeem their stake, and also for people who still have their stakes in the NXT AE. If you read carefully it says redeem, not register.

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 15, 2014, 02:55:31 PM
SUPERCOIN - First P2P Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Coin
SUPERCOIN - 120 Sat, Available Supply - 19,382,759 SUPER

DOGECOIN - no anonymity
DOGECOIN - 60 Sat, Available Supply - 95,550,413,777 DOGE

this is a misunderstanding!!  Sad

Well, there are 2 conclusions I can come up with.

1 - People do not really care about Anonymity, otherwise there would not be any Facebook or Google user.
2 - First P2P Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Coin, this still needs to be proved. Investors don't like close source.

I opened the wallet this morning, got a few stakes within the first hour as usual.
Then I got two orphans... and then nothing.

Its been over 7 hours with the wallet open and no stakes. I normally get a few stakes each hour.

The wallet is in the richlist, and not in the last positions, just so I can make clear there is enough in there that this thing should not be happening.
I should have gotten 20 stakes by now on a bad day.

I do get the new blocks. I see my old stakes getting buried deeper in the chain and I don't get out of sync.
Expected time to stake is two seconds!

NAV frozen in Polo. Anything happened that we don't know?

BTW, Same for me. I don't stake NAV very often but I did leave the wallet open yesterday and no stakes since 6AM UK time, about 8 hours ago.

A little interest in NEM wouldve resulted in the Knowledge that redemption was needed before launch. It was announced a ton of times.

Too many pages to go thru, anyway why was that not stated in the email with the redemption key? I don't check up on here as much as I used to since I got my new job.

It wasn't stated in the email because the deadline hadn't been set when tokens were sent. Got a new job myself as well but I still have 5 minutes per day. The excuse is lame imho.
