That's a hard question. The old saying "There are two kinds of people in this world". Try to offer both but give a discount for the lump sum payment.

^ There are solutions for the 51% attack situation. When the fix needs to be implimented it will be. (A nameless bitcoin dev) and others have had the solution ready for awhile now. The whole 51% thing just makes good press, it's all about fear, thats why you never hear that it would be noticed immediately and the fix would shut it down almost immediately making all the attackers blocks invalid.

Note: The News Media pumps you full of fear, there's floods, there's disease, there's racism, there's murder, cut to commercial, buy the Acura, buy the Colgate, if you have bad breath people are not going to talk to you, if you have pimples, the girl's are not going to f@#k you, and it's all a campaign of fear, and consumption, that's what the News Media is based on, the whole idea of 'keep everyone afraid and they'll consume'.

* As a miner my only worries are with the "Arms Race" between the Asic Manufacturers which is not hyped-up fear, it's a fact.

eleuthria:  "The future of Bitcoin mining will likely end up in a Cold War/Mutually Assured Destruction type arms race between a handful of ASIC manufacturers....The entire system functions based off a zero-sum game of chance.....I just hope we end up with enough players in the game to prevent full consolidation of mining power".

ckolivas:  "Yes. I've written new pool software now, but that can't save the home miners....The economies of scale are what's killing home miners. It's no longer about software and protocols".

The Gyft app allows me to do all my shopping with Bitcoin at Amazon, HomeDepo, CVS, Target, Burger King and a lot of restaurants, basicly anything in the mall and Papa John's Pizza deliveries and of course I spend a lot of Bitcoin with CrazyGuy and Minersource.

Not: If you use the Gyft app, I highly recommend you screen shot the bar code and print it out. Most stores scanners won't read the barcode off your phone. At a restaurant I give them the printed screenshot with the bill and it works great.

@franky 1
That's right, when the government creates regulations against the bitcoin system that the people are already adapting to, those regulations will actually make the people resist and revolt against the old money system even harder. This also creates more people learning about bitcoin and not wanting the old money system either, so the government will eventually have to give in because they can't destroy the blockchain so they can't stop the people.

This has been the best thread of the week. Minimalism, simple-ism, symantecs and non-assumpsit statements. It makes me feel young again. I love hippies Grin

@Chris12821
Using variance by splitting your hash between two pools is very smart, it can really help if one pool is having a bad luck day. I run 85% Slush and 15% BTCguild. I played with it a lot, and that combo works best for me.

^ I'll get A10 cubie and try it on my rk-box that hashes less than my other ones. I'll report back once I get a good comparison.

I've only been out of the hardware section for a couple of days, but what's an  "A10 cubie" ?

"A10 CUBIE " is the more suitable controller for RE/R4,which will make miners run more stable and lower rejection.
We have tested for long long time.

Will it run Rk-boxes? Does CrazyGuy sell them?

Update: $69.00 on Amazon.

Question: Will the rockminer pi power cable work with the A10 cubie?

Question: would A20 cubie be better or stick with A10 cubie?

There's something wrong with the front end, ddos or something problably. The back end is separate and should be recording right with the correct dif. Slush will make sure it all works out right. I'm on my phone but if somebody puts a ticket in it wouldn't hurt.

What's up with the blocks still processing? I don't think I've seen them lag like that before.

@Chris12821
You may be right, the pool hoppers are starting to pour in. That always upsets the luck run. I don't think they will ever understand how mining in a pool works and how to make the best profits overall by staying there. It sure ain't hopping around. But it has been great here lately.
