Finally the day we've been waiting for months! Here are the news! New name! New logo! New website! New mining algo! Moving from Pesetacoin to Peseta Digital!
Let's get into details. New name is because we're focused in Spain. When Pesetacoin was launched every coin used to end in -coin. Times have changed and we want to be prepared for the future spanish adoption.
The mining algorith we're using now is very secure but it doesn't allow the community to contribute and get a reward for it. We're moving to a hybrid PoW+PoS. The first 30,000 blocks will be hybrid and after that full PoS.
Monetary emission policy does not change even if the block time is now 5 minutes. We do consider the monetary emission policy stablished from day 1 a key component that will differentiate us from any other coin the central bank can issue.
The swap will be 1:1, the first may, meaning you will receive 1 Peseta Digital for each Pesetacoin you own. The exchange in charge of the swap is SouthXchange. You will be able to deposit your Pesetacoins there until the 30th april. The 1st may, the user will be credited with Peseta Digital.
We hope you like the changes and we expect them to be helpful to achieve mainstream adoption in Spain.

Hay un par de cosas que no entiendo, o no hay información: - ¿Hay ya un nuevo monedero de PTD para instalar en nuestros ordenadores personales?
- ¿Hay ya paper-wallet de PTD?
- Con los pasos que describes me he perdido. Se supone que el 1 de mayo, como dices, la PTC deja de existir y tener valor, ya que se ha convertido en PTD. Entonces, ¿Cómo se han de enviar a otro sitio?
- Hablas de la utilización de las monedas que no se han convertido. Se supone que no tienen valor.
- Entiendo que el 1 de mayo, cuando se produzca el cambio, ya se está en POS (de acuerdo al mensaje inicial) ¿es así?.
O he interpretado mal el mensaje y al final habrá dos cripto, la PTC y la PTD, cada una con sus cadenas. Hola foroplus, Todavía no está disponible en monedero de PTD, lo estará el 1 de mayo una vez hecho el swap. No hay paper wallet para PTD todavía El 1 de mayo la PTC seguirá existiendo y probablemente siendo minada ya que es AuxPow y está siendo regalada, por lo que tampoco existe demasiado incentivo para dejar de minarla. Vamos a entrar en detalles. El nuevo nombre responde a la necesidad de adaptar el nombre a donde va a ser utilizada la moneda. Si la moneda es para España, ¿porque añadir un coin al final? Cuando se lanzó la moneda todas llevaban esa coletilla al final. Han pasado mas de 7 años desde entonces, es momento de abandonar la coletilla y pensar en el futuro. El algoritmo que estamos utilizando es muy bueno ya que nos aporta mucha seguridad pero tiene un gran incoveniente, y es que no permite a los pequeños mineros y holders de la Peseta contribuir a la seguridad y sacar una rentabilidad de esa contribución. Consideramos que es importante que la comunidad se beneficie de ello. Por eso pasaremos a un hibrido PoW+PoS. Durante los primeros 30.000 bloques será hibrido mientras que los siguientes serán exclusivamente PoS. La emisión monetaría no se modificará en absoluto a pesar de que se modifica el tiempo entre bloques. Consideramos que mantener la emisión monetaria que se estableció desde el día 1 es lo que marca la diferencia entre la Peseta Digital y cualquier otra moneda que en un futuro pueda sacar cualquier banco central. El swap será 1:1, el dia 1 de mayo, lo que significa que por cada Pesetacoin (PTC) que posea recibirá una Peseta Digital (PTD).
