1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Marquise Museum of Contemporary Art [MARQUISEMUSEUM ECR-20 Limited Edition] on: June 06, 2022, 07:28:06 PM
hey whasaap

congrats on getting involved, xcp is OG territory, still works, and has some new developments on multi sends, and asset dividends stuff. search in telegram for counterpary or xcp, see where Jdogg (jeremy) is with all this. Also the bored ape bus club, and a few other parades', also dogeparty is another one similar to xcp, but even less fees. tho i just like to know my stuff is on the btc blockchain heh.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 23, 2021, 03:26:06 PM
Hi guys, been years since i mined, but with fees now being 500$ when I want to do something, I think im gonna run this scrypt.

I tried googling but cant find a resource easily.

I used to sign up on a site, use the login, pass in the txt file, along with parameters for my 1080ti (its water cooled), change the mem/cpu freq, and then run the bat file. Is anything different now? Anyway wanna recommend a mining pool I should join?

Thanks guys
Also, hehe, when I joined back in 2013 or whatever my name still applies to now, Im a noob in scrypt once again.

Wasup guys

Was in the telegram rooms, the guy who has the pinned msg angry at Jdog is an idiot and banned me, whoever that is. Its the room with 2k members, other one with Jdog in it is 1k.

Anyway, with the poloniex news about delisting it woke me up to some things I wanted with xcp for a while but didnt message anyone except Jdog (sometimes you see his name on github related to xcp and the news letter), and Christian Moss (CM) (dev on xcp, LN, and other stuff on twitter).

Anyway, ive always loved xcp, but theres some things I want to see done and Im not sure I can do it, but I can ask those ppl who know, or who have experience, apologies, Im a noob in programming (and other things Cheesy )

Some time ago CM created https://ledger-cp.herokuapp.com/, a page where you can use your ledger nano (make sure firmware updated) and chrome (opera didnt work though its supposed to) to access your btc, xcp, and assets from one page. It communicates with indiesquare api to send assets or btc. Then using pages that already swap small amounts of ltc, vertcoin, and other alts for bitcoin. I was thinking, why cant we use this to make an actual dex to compete with the scamcoin exchanges? Ie instead of counterwallet (CW) page, where you type your privkey (yikes) every time, just use the HW wallet to sign in, and access all those currencies on the ledger nano directories to send/receive etc?

If it was done over segwit enabled coins (CM mentioned to me on twitter its already possible now - I dunno how not a programmer) using swaps, I guess we would need reserves to cover these swaps and cash outs, similar somewhat to https://www.hazama.indiesquare.me/ (Ive messaged them a few momments ago).

Or perhaps just have all that over the xcp layer and settled on btc chain in the op_return space as it is already? Only issue is like btc, its slow.

All in all, this might just be me waking up to the poloniex delist and saying, what can I do to make an update thats impressive. I know btc has LN, I know it has satellite comms up and all that, but to be honest, I like to trade other currencies, in the past 5+ years, that has never changed in me, I love alts, so why not have a way that we control the keys and can do it simply. CP has been around a long time, and has made asset collection fun. Lets keep the development moving forward as a community of volunteers. I may not have much programming experience, but if anyone would like to reach out to me on how we can get some of these actions done (or even say hey Al, thats all BS, its not going to work , go to eth to do that) please go ahead. I see ppl in the telegram saying whos the CEO of the CP association?? lol, the answer is there is none, so its up to random anons on the internet to get ppl together and moving (and saying that countless hours of dev and other work are done every week by the 2 guys Ive mentioned above.). "Ok Mr bagholder spotted!" Yah, ive got a bunch of xcp, and xcp works without exchanges because its already an exchange, maybe now well actually get some more vol on the dex (sadly I cant place the order from my ledger, I need to transfer to my other CP address with the privkey - unless someone can tell me how).

Im on twitter @Noobincrypt, and here with Noobinscrypt.

Thanks
Al

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: September 01, 2017, 03:31:12 AM
slack is the thing like telegram, i hate it persoanlly, telegram is like whatsapp, slack is like IRC for devs at a pc.

anyway about the way the chart is looking, its picking up steam here. take a look at what LSK just did and then look at this and things like xcp dtb,

15  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: August 31, 2017, 04:34:24 PM
Since the SW is activated, how can a user now send a SW transaction?
E.g., I'm using an Electrum wallet, a BitPie wallet, and have a qt full node, and sometimes I also send from/to an exchange or shapeshift.
That whether a transaction is SW or not, depends on the sending address, receiving address, or both? How can I create a SW transaction to lower the fee?

Ledger has supported Segwit recently.
Bitcoin Core is another option but you can only do so using CLI at the moment.
Electrum dev said on github that next version will be released soon letting you create and send segwit addresses.

IMO, most major wallets are ready for segwit. They just didn't let you do so before Segwit finally activated.

wow! when i just saw andre antonopolos tweet about paying a contractor with segwit i decided to take a look at this forum, didnt now ledger starting supporting a segwit txs, that is awesome!!

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: August 05, 2017, 12:22:35 AM
On further reflection, the only reason I can think of for people to claim DeepOnion is a scam is that they hold other crypto assets and are simply afraid of yet another new cryptocurrency drawing value away from their portfolio. If that's the case, welcome to crypto, people. It's a dog eat dog market here, may the best ideas win. If DeepOnion has any useful innovation, but someone doesn't like the dev stake or the initial distribution, fork the code and do it better. That's how all this works.

yes, thats the point, the thing is we all jsut want free money. in some cases like decred they gave away a bunch and the company kept a bunch. i havnt done the math on this coin, but if its highly inflated the devs get a much higher % than the initial distribution will show based on a 40 week distribution. Is anyone forking this i wonder?
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: August 05, 2017, 12:20:29 AM
how many times are people going to say that bitcoin has died? i guess theyll just keep doing it until they are right, might be 5-100 years though. anyway keep going guys! we need you, you add entertainment to us.
