Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $100 USD vs $10,000 USD Trading Capital

First to say it's a big difference between $100 and $10k! Whatever goal you have 10%, 50%, x2, x3.... is a lot more from $10k than from $100, but you risk more money. It's a situation where you need to make a trade with $10 and you just click the button and do it, with +$1000 (for many even lower than that) your hands are shaking, your mind is going crazy... it's the same in gambling, with lower amounts it's easier to gamble than with huge amounts. My trades are usually around $100, and it's the amount I feel relaxed with. And I think people should trade/gamble with the amount they feel relaxed with, if you make some profit great, do it again, if you lose some/all it's not a big deal you will try again with new deposit! It's going better when you are relaxed and objective than in moments when you are stressed and you hope for the best or else you are screwed!
Agreed, as you said, it better to trade on what amount you can afford to lose, just like gambling. But can you say crypto/forex trading is gambling? even with the right amount of knowledge at your disposal

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin?

on: November 05, 2020, 10:21:18 PM

Any time when there's a spike in bitcoin, i do get random calls, social medias like facebook/whatsapp but most especially whatsapp, cos i'd make use of my whatsapp status features to publish my updates about bitcoin. Just about a few hours ago, a guy chatted me up requesting to know about bitcoin, like i always told them, i will give them some free e-books and still refer them to make use Google.. It very tiring explaining to them over and over again when they refuse to use Google

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware; Do not Fall for Phishing Sites, Do Not Be a Victim of Scams

Greedy people will surely get caught in this trap, for you to get the reward you need to insert your private key to connect your wallet, this is giving away your money to scammers the easiest way, if you love Airdrops that much then go through airdrop sources like airdropbob.com, not all scam Airdrops will ask you to deposit money, some will tell you to claim your free tokens by inserting your recovery seed.
Agreed as long you are able to keep your greed in check, it is nearly impossible to fall for scam. As for those asking to send eth or whatever the coin might be, for you to receive your free token are majorly scam, but come to think of it, no serious project will go that route to do that.

some people even expect it to reach $100k. you are talking about a ATH? it will break any record there ever was and will be
Too early to say if it will break the previous ATH and setting up another ATH, IMO i don't think it will surpass the previous ATh this year. I think probably in 2021.. Fingers crossed

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tratok New Smart Contract Review
|
on: September 01, 2019, 08:54:25 PM

Having gone through the new Tratok smart contract, i saw an eye catching function but this didn't go down well with me. This function is an emergency fail safe that allows Tratok to be reclaimed in the event of an exchange or partner hack. This contingency is meant as a last resort to protect the integrity of the ecosystem in the event of a security breach. It can only be executed by the holder of the custodian keys. @param _from The address of the Tratok tokens will be seized. @param _to The address where the Tratok tokens will be sent. @param _value The amount of Tratok tokens that will be transferred. */ function confiscate(address _from, address _to, uint256 _value) external onlyOwner{ balances[_to] = balances[_to].add(_value); balances[_from] = balances[_from].sub(_value); return (Transfer(_from, _to, _value)); The function has the ability to transfer out token from a wallet without the owner of the wallet initiating the transaction. What your thought on this? Wouldn't this function be misuse by devloper.. NOTE: The dev has started using this function on airdrop wallet addresses so as to avoid dumping
