What time it is in the US isn't as relevant in cryptos, bagholders and whales have always been world wide.

for those short sighted and greedy people who think that changing the coins fundamentals like Proof of work or block reward schedule is going to create value in the long run..

just look at the coins that did....

take maxcoin for example.. in order to abate their falling price they bowed to pressure from speculators and recently cut the block reward in half.. They were never a Scrypt coin and so were never at risk of being affected by ASICs in the short to medium term...
and yet.. after a brief rise in price for a few weeks... the price has tumbled to almost half the price it was before they tampered with it...

this is just a warning for those short sighted people who believe that messing with a coins fundamentals is a good idea.

don't listen to the fools and speculators.. they are only in it to line their own pockets...

messing with a coins fundamentals breaks community trust because if they can do it once... then they will do it again.

markets need certainty in order for investors to put money down and help the economy grow.

if you break that certainty you simply push away the very people you are hoping to attract.

and PS.. for those people who think that ASICS are evil.. they are actually more power efficient and thus more environmentally friendly than GPUs.. they show investor long term commitment to growing the economy (because someone has to put serious money down and wait many months to design and develop them).. they secure the network and protect against botnet attacks... and they didn't seem to do Litecoin or Bitcoin any harm now did they?

don't believe the hype... and follow the lead of the successful and trusted coins.

if recent history is any indication of future performance, now that EMC2 has seen 375 twice the CC should be experiencing an upswing at this time, however three factors are still at play:

1) 'Tuesday's press release' failed to provide any measurable bounce,
2) the absence of any voiced short term plan(s) for EMC2, coupled with the unnecessary reiteration of the "long term" plan
and
3) most important of all, the short term buyer's market.  At this point broad based faith in EMC2 is thinning, remaining devotees either can't, or choose not to, support a higher value at this time as such the value continues to sink.


Given all of the above EMC2 is more likely to see 200+ than 600+ by Saturday, but not likely to see either of them.  

Whatever the value is Monday 9:30am EST will set the tone for the rest of the week, if it is 500+ it will be good for the coin, if it is < 424 it will be a rough week for the coin, from 425 to 499 you will likely see a crazy week.



[EDIT: As of 4pm EST today EMC2 broke into 200 zone this is a REALLY bad sign]
