Nice project.I additionally subscribed to the channel in a telegram of developers. I think if there will be some news, first of all they will be published there
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: January 07, 2015, 11:16:05 PM
Huge short squeeze to happen in the coming weeks. The market is reacting very bullishly to crappy news about bitstamp, and sellers are exhausted for now. I think testing $340 is a given on bitfinex, but shorts aren't even closing as we start this correction... so a massive short squeeze could get us much higher.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: October 31, 2014, 10:24:54 AM
shorts closed, longs opened and.... were almost back to where we started ($335).
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: October 27, 2014, 07:38:37 AM
Pretty sure this is manipulation. Someone is taking all the btc swap offers but not actually shorting.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: October 26, 2014, 07:45:06 PM
It took about 2 months for the longs to get squeezed, after they had overextended significantly, and there were only 3k shorts at that time, so buying pressure from those was very low once we broke below $600. There are still about 30-50k btc long positions that will allow short covering.

I think we will see a continued downtrend and make a new low, with shorts growing to new highs along the way. Capitulation brought many many more coins to exchanges, so volume will seem a lot higher than previous months. Either way, the short squeeze is going to be glorious when it finally happens.
127  Economy / Speculation / Re: We leave 500. Target 200. Trade recommendation. on: October 24, 2014, 03:34:40 AM
Nice 200 target. Mines 205.

A retest of 320-340 is likely at this point. There may be a lot of shorts but twice as many longs have opened in the past few days. Just wait till a lot of people decide to take profit from longs opened at 300  Smiley

The time has come for every single long position to be in the red  Smiley
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guess Bitcoin price after 18 days on: September 27, 2014, 09:42:13 AM
$290
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who are the buyers of coins? on: September 25, 2014, 06:44:29 AM
There are no significant buyers, and not much new money is coming into the bitcoin market

Are you sure?

Hint: Big buyers don't necessarily use exchanges.
Yes, I am confident that right now, there is very little buying pressure on exchanges or OTC. If there is buying pressure on OTC, the price rises there, and then OTC buyers will compete and as the price rises, some of them will decide to use exchanges because it will be cheaper there. I would think that OTC transactions probably are generally at lower than exchange price by a small percentage right now. But this could easily switch; since OTC transactions have the benefit of no slippage and high volume, buyers will also decide to pay a premium if demand is high. Yet, if the premium becomes too high, some OTC buyers will switch to exchanges, taking a little more counterparty risk and possible slippage problems, because the lower price benefit will be greater. The result would be higher prices on exchanges. It is possible that OTC coins are going at a slight premium right now, but its not enough to raise the prices on exchanges. To me that means it is not significant.

This is not to say there is not fiat waiting on the sidelines for lower prices. We can even see a lot of evidence of this on the bitfinex's orderbook. Smart money will wait very very patiently for a major capitulation. Any hints that the bear market is not over yet, and they will smartly wait longer.
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who are the buyers of coins? on: September 25, 2014, 05:00:28 AM
That is the main issue at the moment. There are no significant buyers, and not much new money is coming into the bitcoin market; however selling pressure is at least constant from miners, if not increasing lately due to a lack of confidence on the part of bitcoin investors/speculators/early adopters. The bitcoin market is really being guided by one of the simplest economic principals: supply and demand; supply is just much greater than demand at the moment, so the price will continue to go down. Also, the people who really have to cover are the longs, not the shorts, as leveraged long positions still far outweigh short positions.

I hope these conditions do not change for a while, and so should you. If you believe in the long term success and proliferation of bitcoin as a currency and payment platform, you should welcome this bear market. It allows you to accumulate far more bitcoins than you could have if we were going to the moon right now. I suspect that low prices now will have very little impact on the high prices in the long term, or new ATHs, so why not enjoy cheap coins while they last and try to accumulate as much as possible in the medium term.

The only people who should worry right now are those that really took too much risk on the long side, and are bagholding highly leveraged long positions in the red. Anyhow, I'm glad they did what they did, because it only means lower prices once we break 340 and all of the longs are in the red. For everyone else, getting to 200s and 300s will be a dream come true. We can double our bitcoin positions when that happens, and make far more money during the next major rally.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: The ALTS are not tanking.. on: September 17, 2014, 04:56:49 AM
Alts did tank in mid august, around the same time bitcoin was tanking. Since then they have recovered greatly, but everything will probably starting going down again soon. Also, I think that alts have gone up so much over the past few weeks because people are very bored with bitcoin, so speculators are more eager to participate in pump and dumps of various altcoins at the moment. Once bitcoin is clearly downtrending again, the speculators will have no second thoughts about selling their altcoins for bitcoins and then selling their bitcoins for fiat; many will panic, as always.
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 28, 2014, 10:07:34 PM
Hey guise! Did u happen to notice that huge bid wall at 506 on bitstamp? It must be miners trying to manipulate the price up so they can sell their coins for a lot more than they are worth OTC. There's no other explanation that makes sense.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next boom within 3-4 months tops on: August 28, 2014, 06:14:33 PM
My prediction: you are wrong. Bear market will continue and we will be lower than 450 in 3-4 months. Aso your "pattern" is nonsense.
136  Economy / Speculation / What possible events would make bitcoin go to $0? on: August 26, 2014, 03:15:49 PM
In order to evaluate the risks of bitcoin, I would like to know what possible events could cause bitcoin to go to $0. I want to know things that would be truly devastating to bitcoin, or possibly all cryptos. I am not saying anything like this is likely, but for me it is important to understand the potential risks associated with it. I also want to know what events might cause a price decline that bitcoin would never be able to recover from.

For instance, I have heard that if SHA256 (or maybe some other type of security) is cracked, then bitcoin will essentially become worthless. Also, another example of a doomsday scenario for bitcoin would be the emergence of a competing crypto that is superior in every way, causing btc price decline slowly to very little, as market share moves to the other currency. On the other hand, something like a U.S. ban on bitcoin, as unlikely as it is, would not cause the price to go to 0, it would just find a much lower equilibrium price very quickly, and then probably slowly rise from there.

As I own bitcoin, I am concerned that one day, I could wake up and bitcoin will have gone to 0 while I was sleeping due to some unforeseen risk.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: IF YOU`RE STILL FOLLOWING CHINA YOU´RE PROBABLY DOING IT WRONG! on: August 24, 2014, 09:17:33 PM
I think btcchina is the only one that actually fakes volume. They removed fees so they could fake volume and make it seem like the exchange is more popular, to attract people, because their business is failing pretty hard. Just look at the volume distribution - it looks nearly uniform the entire day, even when china is asleep. Pretty ironic that its the only one to fake volume when it accused others of doing so, or at least Bobby Lee implied that, if I remember correctly.
