anyone news about trading on cryptsy? I email them / chat but never a answer.
Why it takes so long time by cryptsy?

I agree. There is really no excuse for cryptsy not opening trading when other exchanges are open for business. Reflects poorly on them IMO and makes me wonder what their motives are.... I suggest everyone email them and ask on chat to try and get them to make a move. They've had plenty of time to 'review' the code by now. So email, chat, tweet big vern , etc. We need them to open .

In addition, Re Merchant accounts, I have silver bullion & coins I am willing to sell in exchange for AsiaCoin, therefor backing this currency with Precious Metals (Real Money) and adding legitimacy to the movement.

I have a track record of providing this service successfully for other 'Alt Coin' communities (which shall remain nameless for fear of censorship).

*Getcha Popcorn Ready*

#AsiaCoin looks like it is ready to get some serious momentum behind it, and I for one don't wanna miss out on this experience.

Can it break new HIGHS Post Re-launch? I mean, with all matters studied logically, the coin IS IN FACT actually in better shape now than it has ever been in it's life. The potential has never been greater than at this very moment. #FACT

This story is just too good to not have a happy ending for those whose faith was all but lost.

SAVING ASIACOIN – PART TWO
I am hopeful that what this team has accomplished is a paradigm shift leading to a culture change for the better. For crypto currency to become main stream with broad base merchant adoption we must work hard to build mutual respect, trust and confidence. This is a worthy cause we all need to support.

For full disclosure I was not a stake holder of AsiaCoin before the meltdown. I do currently own 270,000 ACs and will support the market when appropriate. I am also a founder of DNotes and Cryptomoms. The opinions expressed in this article are strictly my own and not edited by anyone.

@Dyna sees the forest for the trees, and knows there is SOOOO much more to be gained in this game by doing it the 'right way' than by doing some 'fly-by-night' low-brow scheme like the original dev. We can all make millions in crypto if you work together and focus on long-term goal of legitimizing crypto, and stop trying to get rich overnight.

I hope he has 1000 BTC's to support the market with, when necessary LOL.

Makes me feel better about the shares I still have locked up on cryptsy.

Glad to see there is still some hope. Now is there any time table or talks with Cryptsy to allow them to trade AsiaCoin V2? It is still showing my coins without any corresponding coin. Could someone update me on the talks with cryptsy and or time table for ASIA COIN to trade again? Thanks mucho.

I have a little bit of this nonsense coin on Cryptsy. Can someone explain if I will ever be able to sell this coin again or if if my coins are just stuck in imaginary limbo forever?

How long are we looking at this 're-launch' taking? Will the market just magically re-open for me on cryptsy and allow trading again?

Anyone care to explain in simple terms when I should expect my AsiaCoins to be worth anything again and not 0?

Hello Everyone,

I am still around. It was good to see someone breath some life into the Earthcoin price, if only for a day or two. It will take a whale or three to decide they want to really make a lot of money that will likely move EAC back up into the 50-100 Satoshi range. Someone with deep enough pockets where they will sit on the bid replenishing buy orders, then slowly stair-stepping the price up 3-5 satoshi at a time. Once the price has gone up 5-7x they will begin also offering out EAC on the 'sell' side, and start liquidating some of the EAC they bought at 10 satoshi at significantly higher prices. All the while they will be supporting the bid so it cannot be knocked back down to scare off the peasants. So the whale will then be selling to the inevitable 'pump chasers/day traders' who will fly into EAC like sheep being led to slaughter, paying 100 satoshi for coins they could have had at 10 just weeks before.

With Earthcoin languishing around 10 Satoshi, this is the perfect set-up for the type of 'whale' who could move EAC up 10 fold. I have been accumulating a significant amount of Earthcoin through silver sales, but alas, I do not have the funds necessary to do what I am describing above. I still have to work to be paid in Fiat for now to pay the bills, which I know will change once EAC is worth just a penny. Then I will be a very wealthy man and can start working full-time on my own pursuits.

It takes money to make money, and someone who wants to make a ton of $$$ has the opportunity to do so with EarthCoin. So any whales reading this, you have been shown the path, now get that BTC to work!

As an aside, it is quite humorous to me that Auroracoin has a $23+ MILLION dollar market capitalization, while Earthcoin sits only at less than $100K. Now you see the copycats like SpainCoin, GreeceCoin, SiliconValleyCoin, Etc. hurrying to cash in on the 'newest fad' coin to get pumped & dumped by the Devs. Eventually the sheeple will get tired of playing the (suckers) game, and look for value, and a coin that has stood the test of time, and the trial by fire.

EarthCoin offers the ability for a savvy individual to buy up huge portions of the float for a relatively tiny amount of capital. Then they could rebrand or change the mission statement of the entire coin. Say it is to be used as the 'Coin of Earth' and that you will give a % of your coin hoard to every country in the World!

This would be an extremely savvy marketing ploy, as well as a way to further widen distribution, and give more power to the network all the while increasing worldwide adoption. You could give away 80% of the coins you accumulated at 10 satoshi and still likely become very wealthy with what you have left after such a move takes place.

I still believe the marketing assets of EarthCoin are extremely undervalued. The name alone is likely worth more than the $100K market Cap IMO. Also throw in Earthazaar.com, EarthCoinTalk.Org, Android App Etc.

Think about if 'Earthcoin' were to relaunch tomorrow, with this stated purpose. That it is premined 50% to be distributed equally to every country in the world based on population size. With the name 'EarthCoin', with the undefeatable idea of uniting the globe through 'fair' currency & free commerce without hinderance. To provide those who live in the darkness, a light to show them the way to economic equality, and eventual prosperity.

I guarantee you we would have a $5,000,000 market cap within the first week, and could very likely surpass the likes of 'Aurora' Coin and these others, who are onto the right idea, but miss the big picture.

This is a GLOBAL phenomenon, and EarthCoin is positioned perfectly to fit the 'unifying' role of the Global Reserve Crypto-Currency.

We need someone with Vision & Deep pockets to step up and transform EarthCoin into what it is destined to be. I know that it will happen eventually, and the longer prices stay where they are, the more I can accumulate to my own benefit down the road. All of us get caught up in the 'right now' too often. We need to take a step back, gather ourselves, and envision what EarthCoin could like like 1 Year down the road. The type of coin it could be with the right community backing and support.

But most of all Vision is what is needed. Vision to 'sell' the idea of Earthcoin to the masses, and give cause for all  humans to support the coin, buy the coin, and rally around the banner of freedom.

Long Live EarthCoin.

“Nothing is more imminent than the impossible . . . what we must always foresee is the unforeseen.”

Also I will be trying to get more items up on Earthazaar in the next couple days.

After reviewing the facts, and listening to all sides of the argument, I have to conclude that I will throw in my vote as against changing to POS at this time. To me, the risks do not justify the benefits. I plainly do not see how changing to POS increases the LONG-TERM viability of Earthcoin as an elite Cryptocurrency. There are clearly some folks here smarter than me in economics, mining, etc, and I think the debate that has been had the past few days is indeed healthy and positive for the Earthcoin community. Hard fought debates about the future of the coin shows the passion underlying the revolutionary belief in the possibilities to change the world that Earthcoin represents.

Particularly impressed with the dialogue from BioMech & 24Kilo. Both are awesome members of the the community and are truly proving their value with the dissemination of valuable information to enlighten me and others.

TestBitCoiner had valid points as well and I can see his argument. I would say to ease up on the personal attacks, and focus on the argument, not the individual. Always makes me think one is defensive or knows they are arguing from a point of weakness when they start the personal attacks. POS and other innovations yet to be discovered, can still be pondered and decided upon going forward. This movement is evolving and as an 'open' forum anything can be discussed and decided upon in a civilized manner.

One thing I have been pondering doing myself is offering an EarthCoin shareholder rewards program. I am still brainstorming but any feedback y'all want to provide is certainly appreciated. What I am considering would be similar to a dividend paying stock, rewarding long-term Earthcoin investors by providing a monthly 'EarthSilver Dividend' based on the # of coins you hold in your personal wallet on a certain date/ time period.

"ATX Silver Announces EarthCoin Dividend Plan - Disbursing Precious Metals 'Dividends' On a Monthly Basis'

1 Unit of Silver 'Dividend' per 20 Million EarthCoins held - Decided Monthly on the 25th

Have holders send me a screen shot of the coins in their wallet, as well as the unique wallet address so I could double check the balance the day after the ex-dividend date(IE the 25th), when packaging up the dividends.

This would indeed incentivize both miners & investors to 'hold' their coins, and I feel basically solves the POS solution without having to open up the 'code' to exploits and weaknesses.

Plus, as word spreads about my revolutionary idea, people would flee from 'ponzi scheme' coins and recognize real value when they see it.

Owning a crpyto that pays you a monthly 'physical silver dividend' certainly offers a certain amount of downside protection. As the price of the crypto goes down, the # of 'silver dividends' you would obtain by purchasing more shares would increase, therefore effectively incentivizing people to BUY BUY BUY a crypto that has TRUE VALUE.

Of course starting off as I would be bootstrapping this by myself, the dividends would not be extravagant, but even $10-$20 worth of silver monthly for your 20-30 million Earthcoins would certainly be much more attractive than what 99% of what other coins offer IMO.

Alternatively, we could talk the DEV team/ remaining holders of the Premine/ Wealthy Earthcoin holders into offering this same program but in EarthCoins. IE take 50 million of the premine and make an announcement that you will pay out 5,000 EAC 'rewards dividends' based on the amount of shares individual owners can prove they own at a certain point in time. You would probably need a relatively high starting point to 'earn' the rewards dividends, maybe 5-10 million minimum EarthCoins to qualify for the initial 5,000 EAC Dividend, with 5,000 EAC additional for each additional 5-10 million Earthcoins held. Maybe a max of 25,000 EAC per user per month.

Just thoughts that I think people would get really excited about if announced. Maybe even create an announcement thread when finalized to blast this out to the whole ALT COIN community and recruit new blood to buy into this 'Shareholder friendly' initiative, that I personally feel is more beneficial a choice than what POS represents.

Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? Just brainstorming but I think I may be on to something.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [2014 FLAGSHIP ALT] *EarthCoin* EAC +1 Community, +1 Exec Team, +1 Best Talent on: March 19, 2014, 09:57:59 PM
In a way this drop in price is in the design of Earthcoin. Look at the block rewards, it's still increasing every day. In a few days we're at the max of 12,000EAC per block. Then the block reward will go down to 8,000EAC in the coming 6 months. That's a decrease of around 33%. So currently the inflation of Earthcoin is the highest it will ever be.

no. today it is the lowest of any future point in time.

it adds up every day. just because in 5 months it adds less than it adds tomorrow, does not mean inflation then is not already well over 250%

I know this is tricky... but fallacies like this drove the current eac design...

and fallacies like this prevent people seeing the fundamental problem alts face.

eac can not increase its rate of adoption enough to compensate POW inflation.

once it sinks low enough, acceptance will diminish, not increase.

the devs assume for some reason that acceptance of the coin will increase at the same rate the wallets are printing earthcoins.

POS would give eac a break and allow the rate of adoption catch up to the eac supply.

but since the devs seem very resistant to  suggestions even, let alone criticism, however valid, nothing will happen.

cause if nothing happens, 'earthcoin' (the guy) has never to admit to himself that he was wrong.

he'd rather lose all his money, have his premine become worthless than admit that he has misjudged something and the suggestions of some arrogant and condescending ass in the thread (hint: me) might save his bacon from oblivion.

@testbitcoiner - I appreciate your input and thoughts, and I do now understand the POS system better now. Do you have any answers for what the Dev and 24Kilo have been saying as far as the inherent problems with POS networks and all the bugs/errors that they point to other coins who have had terrible problems with them? Do you have a solution that would be a viable fix to these issues they mentioned? Anything that makes the network vulnerable or weakens it sounds like a huge problem for me, especially after hearing a large miner's opinion on the issue. Inflation vs Deflation argument is irrelevant at this point. Let's be honest, we are not dealing with economists (Keynesian or Austrian), PHD's in Finance, or experts at trading markets for the most part in this forum.

I can't help but think everyone is somewhat a 'victim of the moment' with the responses I've seen on the forum lately. Why was there no clamoring for a switch to POS when Earthcoin was at 200 Satoshi and everyone was sitting on paper profits? I didn't hear constant attacks on the design of EAC and how 'Inflation' is destroying this crypto back then. I don't believe there is a 'magic switch' that will make the price skyrocket by pushing a button, making a press release, changing the code overnight, etc.

People are doing what people always do. We have seen the price of EAC get obliterated the past week and now everyone and their mom is coming up with 'perfectly clear' reasons why this happened. It is because we are not POS, it is because of multi-pools, Lack of Dev participation/action, etc.

The true reason, is so much more simple, and takes the least amount of assumption.

THERE ARE MORE SELLERS THAN BUYERS OF EARTHCOIN.

Maybe 'John' the original Dev is finishing off unloading his holdings. Maybe Norb is, Maybe WES, maybe some other unknown entity that accumulated 100 million coins early on and is now capitulating.

What reason would we come up with if someone with 100K to speculate with pushes EarthCoin back up to 200 Satoshi? We would then point to all kinds of reasons and say, 'look, it's perfectly clear now, EarthCoin went up because you can buy silver with EAC, the Dev team is active and getting organized, the Android wallet announcement, etc.'

Greed has certainly been a huge driver of the crypto world in general and once someone gets a taste of quick money, they start to become monsters for more. The good news is IMO that nearly 100% of the super-greedy people have left EarthCoin, and most likely sold all of their shares at a significant loss. For every seller, there is also a buyer.

So answer me this - Knowing all the facts that we know, which one is the wiser person, the one selling at 10 Satoshi, or the one buying at 10 Satoshi? The seller is guaranteed to be selling at a loss, capitulating, giving up, throwing in the towel, laying on the linoleum with a bottle of half-empty scotch. The buyer, however, what is he thinking? How could he possibly buy EarthCoin when everyone has written it off as dead and the 'pump-n-dump' crowd has moved on to the next roulette wheel?

So the people selling all this quantity of shares on the market, who likely bought at 100+ satoshi prices, and is now selling it all for 5-10% of his original investment. That is a very clear example of 'buying high, and selling low'. Is that what you would like to do also?

The People buying here on the other hand, well they are buying at 10 Satoshi, and I wonder where/when they will decide to sell? So they are buying LOW, AND Selling _____???

Seems very clear to me the answer to my question, as to which person is a better investor/speculator/profiteer at the current time.

Is the entity buying right now the truly greedy one? If EAC just goes back to 50 Satoshi he will make 5x his invesment. (EAC was at 25 satoshi just a few days ago) The risk to reward parameters of EarthCoin have never looked more promising from an investment perspective. from 10 satoshi to 1 is relatively VERY CLOSE. If indeed EarthCoin survives this bear attack, which I believe it will, you have to think it has a 50% probability of returning to a 100-200 satoshi price within the next 3-6 Months. So you are risking 10 to gain 100-200. You know what the downside is, that is very clear. What is the upside however?

This now represents a classic example of an Asymmetrical bet. Risk 10 to get back in return 200. Sure you could lose your 10 if all is indeed lost. But imagine if this is indeed a temporary panic, and EarthCoin rises from the ashes behind an improved Dev team and community backing? How will it feel to turn $1,000 into $20,000? What percent chance would you need of success to bet $10 for the chance to win $200? Would you do it for a 10% Chance? Do you think EarthCoin has a 10% chance of Survival? People play the lottery for much more terrible odds everyday.

Those who actually Buy Low & Sell High are always in the minority. They end up being very wealthy, and directly at the expense of those who do the opposite, and Buy High & Sell Low. It is indeed very hard to convince yourself to Buy at this price, and that is exactly why you should. The average person is panicking out of his mind and does not have the courage to buy more shares. He in fact is likely selling shares at tremendous losses.

I intend to be one of the few 'very wealthy'. Are you selling your Earthcoins now, or are you buying? The easiest choice is very rarely the correct one.

Does this post below from March 02 on the MintCoin Forum Make more sense for the community today? I was laughed out of the forum for being a 'troll' and spreading FUD at that time, I still hold a token amount of Mints, and am looking to buy some more once it gets below 10 Satoshi, I am thinking 7-8 could very well be a short term bottom. But there are so many coins that were created, and the market capitalization is SO HUGE ($1.5 Million!!!) for MINTCOIN for how little development and real world use for the coin, that I could easily be wrong, and we could see it hit 3-4 satoshi as well. Even if you are among the most 'zealous' MintCoin believers, you should probably have some dry powder so you can buy more if it goes down that low. $1.5 million is an awful high valuation compared to some other coins that have a ton more development and real world applications. Also I fear the Dev is still high-fiving his buddies about how 'good his karma' was when he sold out of everything above 50 satoshis, and likely too greedy to buy more of his own coin. (Probably spend buying a Porsche with the 'blind faith' followers money. So the DEV should be very thankful for all of your help :-)

Other / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *15 Exchanges    on: March 02, 2014, 09:17:35 PM

It is truly amazing to me that people who trade and invest in ALT coins have little to no investment experience. These markets are currently very similar to the 'Pump & Dump' markets that penny stocks, pink sheets, and Over-The-Counter equities have been traded (And Manipulated) for many years now.

I got out of MINT way too early taking a profit of 3-5x my investment. Turns out I could have held on for 10-20x my investment, but I have learned that you can't beat yourself up over this, and that in the investing/ speculating world there is a saying that almost always holds true.

"Pigs get Fat, Hogs get Slaughtered"

Also if you want to beat the average 14 year old trading Alt coins you need to think differently than them. You have to buy a coin BEFORE it is getting "Pumped' irrationally by those who have more bitcoins than you, and are trying to get the peasants to dive into a coin after it has gone up 5-10x from where they bought.

This is exactly what the WOLONG clown does. Buys a ton while a coin's cheap, then after he has enough to make lots of money he releases the news that 'he is going to pump' some coin. The average idiot jumps in at whatever price and then starts posting on message boards about how this coin is 'going to the moon' 'new dogecoin' and all kinds of nonsense. When in reality all that happened is that the 'big money' is manipulating the price because you can typically move these Alt coins around without very much 'real money'. So a 'bitcoin millionaire' can do with the price as he wishes, and then he sells to the 14 year olds who run in and buy mint at 30, 40, 50 and even 60 satoshi.

Just a word of advice, if you want to get ahead in this trading/speculating alt coin scene, learn to THINK FOR YOURSELF! Do not just follow the price action caused by those who want to unload their shares on you at inflated prices. Find a coin you like, that has a strong community as well as design, and has built out the infrastructure to support the long-term success of the crypto-currency. Then buy on dips and moments of panic, learn to be patient and let your price come to you.

To get ahead in this game you need to be a contrarian, buying when there is 'blood on the streets', when there is nothing but negativity on the message boards and the community in general.

I will be back to buying MINT when it gets back near the 10 Satoshi Level and lower, anything above that at this point in the creation just provides the miners and big holders a better price to dump at. After all they know as well they will be able to buy back below 10 satoshi at some point.

Unfortunately for MINTCOIN the dev does not appear to be all that savvy, creative, or even honest. I mean he couldn't even get a wallet that worked for the first 2 weeks. You going to put your faith in the long-term success of a DEV who may have dumped almost all his pre-mine in the irrational rush to 60 satoshi? Someone who couldn't even figure out a wallet before launching his own coin because he was in such a hurry to cash out?

Just my 2 cents. I still think MINTCOIN has a chance Long-term but it will need truly active and dedicated community members besides the Dev to get this ball rolling. If you have faith in the mystery dev who likely has no interest in this coin any longer since he cashed out probably 1000 bitcoins and is in the bahamas already from his successful pump-n-dump scheme.
