641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best & Fastest PoS Coin to Clone on: August 31, 2014, 02:16:59 AM
BitShares is certainly interesting, but a bit complex for what I'm doing. I'm also not sure how I'd turn that into an IPO for Thorns of War.

BlackCoin is an option to consider.

It needs to be fast and stable and work like a charm right out of the box. I'm very much more focused on building value through merchant adoption (including my own) rather than fancy features. I don't see many people needing anonymity to play a game or to buy pad thai at a food cart.

* Fast
* Stable
* Reliable

Has anyone ever done a guaranteed buyback? Like, you buy an IPO coin at 100 sats and a bot automatically places a bid at 99 sats? The idea intrigues me, but perhaps a topic for another thread.

Because I'm also a coder and intend to heavily modify/upgrade it. For instance, I might want to explore a system of destructive transaction fees to offset the interest. I also considered a Blake256 merge mined with destructive tx fees.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best & Fastest PoS Coin to Clone on: August 31, 2014, 12:19:42 AM
I'm rereleasing an online RPG and world-SIM this fall, and I've decided the best way to fund the work and infrastructure is through crypto. The idea is to find the best coin for the job, clone it, and then release it as a sort of IPO. The game will accept this coin as payment, and I have another, larger project which will also use it next year. I'm less concerned with anonymity and most concerned with transaction speed and stability. A coin that you could use for point of sale and not worry about forks. I will, actually, most likely do a point of sale system with it aimed at outdoor vendors.

I'd like to hear the BCT community's thoughts on the best coin to be cloned for this scenario. Thanks! =)

I don;t think name calling is the way to go about this.

Quiet rump ranger...

i don't know why Crowdwhale has something against me.

Oh, I don't know... maybe it was that you were paid to implement something, then decided to use that something in your own project, thus delaying your implementation of that something by what... a month?! Do you think we're kids playing with our allowance?

And then if I ask for clarification you always come on with this snide attitude. I've said it before and I'll say it again: You, sir, are a douche.

Yeah, unfortunately I put most of my eggs in this basket almost a month ago already and it killed my ROI for the month. Running on fumes. Another month and I'm done, so... guess I have to start selling. First half mil for sale at 405. Come'n'get-it.

If it was so clear why are a number of people asking the same question and why, when asked to comment in the thread, does he not do so until I bitch? And then complain that I bitch?

Classic bein'-a-douche move...

any questions?

Yes, why are you such a douche?

Also, 2-3 weeks after ROOT is launched on Bittrex? 2-3 weeks after BitKey is implemented in your shitcoin? 2-3 weeks after what? It's not clear.

I have asked Bitsta to come by on the thread later and answer all your questions.

When is he actually going to do this, and why isn't he more transparent with a timeline?

Is there anyone who can consult with me to implement ICG payment processing on a website? I could do a lot for the coin given that basic ability, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it... especially the sending part.

This is me: https://twitter.com/MeshCents

Feel free to retweet. I'll step up the promo when there's more to say. Bitkey seems to be the thing we're all waiting for.

wow ,  why you guys dump and dump

Weak hands and interest payments, perhaps. Those of us with a clue are the ones buying from the dumpers. They're just getting a payday advance with massive interest. Wink
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What anonymous coin will succed? on: August 08, 2014, 06:57:19 PM
Incognito [ICG] because it's community driven. No scammy devs with insider trading, manipulation, and dumps before abandonment. ICG is YOUR coin.

I was able to buy another 200k at 350 sats? You guys are slackin'!

Hope the interest is lowered soon.

No worries, it was just kinda funny. Besides, a lot more I could have done with it, but too busy for a gamble. Wasn't really expecting to win.
