6 290's, XFX "black edition" cards  Grin
OMG someone finally gets it. Vertically mounted blower fans. I've been saying for a while this would be the absolute ideal fan-direction orientation.

BTW, I don't know how you'd do this and still mount them like you have, but when we took the PCI brackets off of our 290s, there was a significant temp decrease. It was about a 8C drop on our hottest card. You could hear and feel more air move out the back. I got a picture here:

What kinda settings do you use for 875? The best I could get was 850. And what's this about undervolting? Please link the thread?

Thanks! And kudos to the awesome rig!

Nice rigs both of ya, 6 x r9 290 is a beast rig lol
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin on EBay on: January 17, 2014, 11:10:23 PM
A lot of ebay sellers list btc/altcoins like this

Buy a pen get x amount of btc/altcoin free

That way when they send the pen in the mail with tracking paypal can not reverse the payment. Or at least that is the assumption.

Smart idea
that's pure genius hahaha, paypal will be at a dilemma
350  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcointalk.org shirts anyone? on: January 17, 2014, 11:08:19 PM

353  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Nextgen mining hardware? on: January 17, 2014, 10:51:03 PM
There will always be next gen stuff. Just like gaming consoles, cell phones, computers, etc...

The question is what technology will be developed and when will it be released? Your guess is as good as anybodies. Who knows if Bitcoin will even be the crypto of choice when the next gen stuff hits the streets. All you can do is work with the information you have available for you. IMO... this is like asking if you should save for the PS5 or just buy the PS4. PS5 isn't even in the works yet...

now... is a ps4 worth buying now? That's a whole other question.

PS5 PS6 PS7, there all in the works my friend! Wink
lolll, any good games for ps4?
354  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Anyone used Lego to support their rig? on: January 17, 2014, 10:48:54 PM
didn't know lego could do that lol, nice 1 DrG

Not my rig, see the post above mine (it's his).

Considering how much Legos go for nowadays I think getting a custom built aluminum rig for GPU mining would be cheaper.  If you go to a Lego store the big blocks even purchased in bulk are pretty pricey.  Maybe if a knockoff was available...
my apologies, great job clarkey2013, amazing job Cheesy
355  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Anyone used Lego to support their rig? on: January 17, 2014, 10:47:34 PM
aluminum or wooden rigs would be fine, if you want to cut down on costs and get your hashing done like right now lol.

360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Woah, block solved in 20 seconds by Slush's pool. on: January 17, 2014, 10:34:41 PM
20 seconds is the current record?

hmmm, maybe we could have a site that monitor and ranks block solving time lol. Interesting to know.
