1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: October 08, 2019, 07:52:46 AM
HiveOs sets minimum fan speed to the Tahiti cards now.

I used old version of HiveOs earlier and all worked good.
HiveOs didn’t affect fan speeds and RPM values were taken from bios.

But after upgrade fan speeds has been set to a minimum:

....

Commenting on this line may help you. I have repeatedly written about this problem in their telegram channel, but for some reason it is stubbornly ignored.

NEW WEBSITE AND XBANK UPDATE

Dear X-Network community,

Today we want to share with our community the new website we have been working on that better reflect our activity since the rebranding.

https://x-network.io/

You will find there all the information about our products in development, our updated roadmap (https://x-network.io/roadmap), the new x-cash website (https://x-network.io/xcash) and much more.

Please be advised that the website is still a work in progress. We plan on adding in the following weeks:
- a dedicated mining section with tutorials;
- a presentation page for our products, x-payment and x-blockchain.
We would also be happy to hear your suggestions as well, to improve your experience on our websites.

X-BANK UPDATE

The X-Bank is in its final stage of development. It is ready and deployed internally and we are testing all the features before trusting it to your hands.
The airdrop process will resume directly after the release. Meaning that the registration process will start when we release the X-Bank.

Thank you all for your patience, we are excited for what's coming.
This is the best I've seen in cryptocurrency over the past year!!!
Good luck  Cool

We will look into this as an option in the future.
What you can do for the time being is manually reorder the cards using the -d option.
If you use the option "-d 2,3,0,1", this will result in the GPUs in the miner being reordered so that GPU0 is actually device 2, GPU1 is device 3, GPU2 is device 0, and GPU3 is device 1.
It's a bit annoying to setup, but it will work with the current version we have today until we can add an option to do it automatically.

Thank you, your advice will greatly help. I did not think about this method Smiley

Dear, please add the option --bus-order, as in JCE, SRB. Very useful for simply identifying problem cards in rigs with a large number of video cards.

When the miner starts, you can see the PCIE ID, open your device manager, find the VEGA card, and you can see the same PCIE ID.
I know that this can be done. But this is not convenient, especially when the card falls off after a while. Sorting by bus number is convenient because it has such an OverdriveNTtool. http://prntscr.com/lcjc3t

Ideally, there should be a sorting by bus number based on the value of the --pcie_fmt parameter. That is, for Linux, 'hex' is more preferable, for Windows - 'dec'

Thanks for the base version of watchdog. But from the log it is not clear why it worked.
https://pastebin.com/sUMQMsbp
There is also no adjustment of the response time. And it would be nice that before the exit, the miner would show the current hash of the cards, in order to understand which of the cards fails.

Am I the only one to have to use the 0.31f to mine CN V7?
I also use version 31f, but for another reason. All versions after do not restore the maximum speed in case of disconnect on my rig from 12 550. Versions after 31f do not always have time to give the cards to the maximum speed in the allotted time. On version 31f some cards go to the best mode only for 30 minutes, but they do it! I'm writing this about the fast algorithm. http://prntscr.com/knwz2e

0.32g GPU

Excellent thank you! Finally, in this version there is a stable hash on 588 cards on a bittube algorithm, and it even became a little higher! In the rig 552x with the Elpida, digging the Masary, did not notice the changes, everything is still stable!

P.S. Dear, I really look forward to the function of the failover pool

Developer, it's excellent that you did temperature monitoring and share counting, thanks! But version 31f is still the best on hash for me. All cards reach their maximum speed within 5 minutes. After this version, as well as the latter does not give such a result. 1-2 cards sometimes can reach their best speeds, but not all. Is it possible to return the old mechanism (slower) of the kernel compilation or to give a choice?

I'm testing the latest version of 32t. Driver 18.3.4, rx588, everything works fine. But the leader on the hasht still remains version 31f

In version 31f the overall performance on my rig with 12 552rx fell to 200+ hashes (from one card 347-> 330) The settings were exactly the same, the trick I used, maybe this version does not work now.)
I return to the royal 31e version of the miner Smiley
Developer, what drivers do you use for testing? I'm using 18.3.4.
PS: Just in case, I bring the parameters of the video card on which the rig is assembled.
Rx550 2gb Baffin 1150/1800 (1071/1500) 768sp/12cu (unlock 640/10), mem Elpida

On the test card 588 on the new version, on the contrary, growth is seen on the Heavy Algo from 1100 to 1120 hashes!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: July 16, 2018, 12:40:52 PM
Developer! The last version of the miner is just royal, thank you! I look forward to supporting backup pools and temperature monitoring. This is the most useful, in my opinion, functions. Here is the result of the latest version on the bittube, rx552x12, although the hash is a bit unstable (perhaps because of the small amount of RAM for 12 cards).

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: July 14, 2018, 10:07:54 PM
The developer, the miner tries every time when starting and during work to change the complexity to a minimum on a heavy algorithm. Because of this, the final total count of the hashes is wrong. I can provide any information you need to solve.

Dear developer! Here such a thing happens on the last version of the miner. Diff constantly flies to minimum values. I had to wedge for the old version - everything is fine there Sad
I use the --doublecheck option, fixdiff, bittube, drivers 18.3.4, win10 1803
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: July 05, 2018, 06:52:24 PM
The people in other topic tried hard to convince me that my math is bad or I have issues with rigs, and simple change of miner increased my hashrate by like 10%. I have never been more happy to give 1.5% dev fee  Grin

Dear JCE, thanks for awesome miner, please keep developing!

You are not alone, who doubted the srb miner hash. I asked the doctor about the difference between the hash in the miner and the actual month before. Did not get a normal response. And the same people tried to ridicule my tests with numbers. The real difference in the hash was my estimate of about 6%
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: July 05, 2018, 06:16:05 PM
Hello! First, I thank the developer of this miner, very happy!
I would like to emphasize the minuses and advantages of the gpu miner at the moment:

Pro:
A real hash
Many coins supported
Normal minimalistic interface
Minimal commission

Con:
No monitoring of temperature and speed, voltage, frequency, their adjustment
There is not enough identification of the card on bus_id
Display sequence is not the same as in gpuz and overdrive
A heavy algorithm on rx550 has an unstable hashrate
Very long compilation at startup. Rig on 12 cards about 5 minutes, this makes testing very difficult Sad
No failover pools

Good luck to the developer!

Not sure why some of the GPU produce different results, all are same really

Perhaps a strong downvolt, or a shortage of power supply, a poor riser. There are many reasons. My 588 runs 900mv / 850mv 1150 / 2100-2150 (depending on memory and algorithm) 24/7. I advise you to monitor the memory errors in the HWINFO. Ideally, they should always be 0, and do not run any garbage programs like msiab, they affect the stability. Also, the temperature of 74 degrees on one of the cards is super-high for me. I think this can also cause instability.
I advise you to set the parameter --gpureorder, this will simplify the setting and monitoring (Bus_id) of the cards using odnttool and gpuz
