I don't know, all my blind fixes proved to be pretty bad so far. I'm still waiting for my own APU to be able to test a real case.

When you optimize heavy algo? I forced to use SRB miner because it gives about 7,5% more speed on heavy. On CN-V7 speed is almost equal.

On Heavy Cast XMR finds more shares, on V7, XTL V4 and Lite JCE is much better.

--auto fails on Vega64 with strange values and also this version has a -10H result so i`m sticking to the old one. Them blind fixes are no good, you need to get a used vega for testing.

Try alpha 64 beta 8, this can increase speed.

Tried, it turns out less by 50 h/s on rig.

This is still not fixed for me, even with 0.31d.  Win 7-64, Aug '17 Blockchain drivers, Rx470 8GB cards, motherboard integrated graphics.
Other miners work fine, why doesn't yours?

Miner is beautiful for RX550, but you need a wachdog. Sometimes one or two cards fall and until you see the rig itself is not working at full capacity.

Since the miner also detects nvidia cards as opencl capable you get something like this:

The developer, the miner tries every time when starting and during work to change the complexity to a minimum on a heavy algorithm. Because of this, the final total count of the hashes is wrong. I can provide any information you need to solve.

GPU detect: good idea, i'll restrict to AMD openCL platform, like xmrig-amd, maybe it will fix the bug. i tested jce on my old win7 computer and it worked, but i've only amd opencl on it.

speed regression: i see where it could come from, will fix.

Heavy netcode: once again i broke something with the Nicehash and/or Heavy netcode. a heavy round may be so slow that specific netcode is required to avoid getting only stale shares. the bug you found is a display bug and the real hashrate can always be checked pool side, but right the share counter when pressing R has a bug on heavy.

note: maybe hide your wallet in your example log.

autoconfig: i've no vega to test but i can proofcheck that case.

Morale: version 0.31d causes more troubles than it solves, i'll release 0.31e asap and remove 0.31d from GitHub as invalidated.


watchdog: that's a todo feature, but not top priority. i experienced with Claymore that restarting the miner rarely solves the problem, it just hangs again. gpu hashrate dropping to zero is almost always due to a multihash param too high on a card with a screen plugged.
but restarting the whole rig can be good.

Version 0.31d is really bad, i'm making the 0.31e asap to replace it.

About the hash counter : there were two bugs and I found them clearly. They dated back from CPU version, but since CPU speed is both very stable and very low on Heavy/Haven/Tube i never noticed it.
The hash counter used the diff of the pool of previous stat update (when the blue hashrate pops by itself) and since rounds on Heavy are long, and hashrate is less stable on GPU, it happened to be often different and lower. On CPU, it is often the same, and even if different, it's half time higher or lower and the average is flat.

It will be fixed in version 0.31e
Again, that was a display bug with no real impact, and the physical blue hashrate was correct all the time.

I drop all support of non-AMD OpenCL until I fix the no-GPU detect bug. nVidia support is possible, but low priority. If i do it, i plan to make an unified miner, like Stak all-in-one.

Ok, let's find a solution: i'll re-release the 0.31e (which is dirty, but let's be smooth) with the --probe parameter more powerful: it will log more info about the GPU detect. Then you'll be able to run JCE with --probe param and give me the results. I hope it will help.

I don't know if this will help, or not, but I tried your 0.31e on another rig with an ASROCK motherboard without integrated graphics, same problem.  Both rigs have windows 7-64 and blockchain drivers and RX 470 8gb GPUs.  Both rigs have modded BIOS, both rigs have to use the AMD patch to be recognized by the system.  I personally feel that this is a software problem, not a hardware problem.
