Excellent work everyone, DNotes is stronger than ever and has done a good job flying under the radar while building the necessary infrastructure to bring a completed product to market.
It looks as though 2017 is the year Alan's vision and careful planning will become a reality, and DNotes will differentiate itself from the competition in a way nobody else can replicate. He has seen the process of innovation occur first hand, and has a far deeper understanding than anyone in our industry on how/why innovation happens, as well as how to deploy innovation from a business perspective. There are many hands working behind the scenes, DNotes has the hardest working and one of the most talented developers in the industry. No other cryptocurrency can come close to matching "star players" like these. I remember early in DNotes' history, people were trying to lecture Alan on how to create a cryptocurrency (they thought any deviation from their ideals was blasphemy), not knowing that he has 40 years of business experience and has been involved in the technology sector since before most of them were born. I finally found time to finish reading The Four Pillars of Business Success. This is one of the best books I've ever read, Alan and team you've really outdone yourselves. Something to be very proud of. It’s a fun trip to make when in the White Mountains and now you have one more reason: it’s the third public location of a Bitcoin Vending Machine in New Hampshire! What does everyone think of the recent price drop in Ethereum? They lost over 500 million from their market cap in less than a week.
In my opinion they've gotten way ahead of themselves (going against Alan's advice), and taken on more investment capital than they know what to do with. The only applications that have actually been produced are dice games, gambling apps, ponzi "businesses", pyramid "businesses"; The rapid ascension in price has certainly attracted some unsavory characters.
All this aside, the failure of an entire billion dollar currency at this point would be disastrous for our industry's reputation, so let's hope they can get back on track.

I kinda like his idea, something akin to "Certificate of Deposit" with a variable rate of return depending on the length of the commitment and the amount on deposit. I understand this would have to be researched to avoid any banking or legal quagmires but, it would be VERY attractive to new investors especially those with short attention spans! Biggest issue I suppose would be where does the "interest" come from?  PS: From the regulation department, I suppose it would not be a legal issue if crypto is a commodity but, would be an issue if crypto is money.
