183  Economy / Goods / (SOLD): Guild Wars 2 Beta Key on: June 04, 2012, 04:19:44 AM
Selling a Guild Wars 2 beta key, which can be used for the beta June 8 at 12pm PDT and ends Sunday, June 10 at 12:01am PDT (midnight), and then for any later betas. Note that they key will not give access to the game once it is live.

I'm looking for 2 BTC for the key.

Hey what do you guys think about this:
http://goo.gl/kS9lg
If payb.tc used it instead of having to PM everyone individualy, don't even do manual calculations just update the current balance with the calculated new balance
if you dont want your info public just use a withdrawal address or opt out completely
this way we can all keep track of our balances with a bookmark.

I would be fine with that.

(and while starfish are often idiots, this one expects some sort of disruption to the economy when BS&T finally closes it's doors)

Anyone who doesn't believe so is blinded. Looking just at the financial sector of Bitcoin, BS&T has worked its way into almost all of the items which pay interest. As the current market stands, there could be other interest-bearing investments in the financial section; however, they have a hard time competing for customer dollars with the payout that BS&T has. Once BS&T ceases operation, whenever that may be, there's a giant void to fill there.

I see you figured it out.  What the feeling reallly THAT good??

...No.

I actually thought it was pretty easy, since I went along with the video tutorial. However, for mass market, the current method isn't appropriate.
188  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 4 BTC Loan for 2 Days on: May 31, 2012, 08:22:35 PM
psy you are such a neysayer.  you've been on the board since April 2011 with over 2000 post so you've seen more and maybe even been scammed.  Are there any stats on the board regarding the ratio of good to bad loan or trades to back up your obviously strong opinion?  Is OTC the only answer for trades/loans?   Just trying to understand the logic.

No, I haven't been scammed in any loan. Only time I got scammed was for a carton of cigarettes. lol
And I'm not a naysayer, just realist.
I don't need stats to prove anything. Time does that for me. But stats couldn't be based on rate of good and bad loans only. You would have to base them on good and bad loans but separate them into loans given with proper diligence or loans given lightly, like this one "Oh you want 4 BTC? Take them my friend!".

About OTC, I can't say. Don't use them and probably never will. Maybe if they come out of the 1990's straight to the 21st century internet I will.

I hear you about otc.  I tried to sign up but didn't have the time to figure it out.  If bitcoin is going to "reach the masses" stuff like that has to be as easy as hitting a "like" button.  With regards to due diligence what are you suggesting.  Time on the board, number of posts.   I guess number of past good trades would help (OTC again).  I see one poster putting handle+1 in his sig to indicate good trades, building more cred for him then those he identifies I suppose.

But...you wouldn't get the "THANK GOD I FINALLY FIGURED THAT OUT" feeling if it was easy...
189  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for .12 ฿ on: May 31, 2012, 07:46:44 PM
This may seem like a silly question, but what exactly can you do with .12BTC? (And for two months at that o0)
190  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN MAGAZINE ARRIVED! on: May 30, 2012, 04:44:48 AM
I just got mine, and I must say that I'm impressed. It's a great read Cheesy

I'm 45 pages in so far, and it's been great content. I did notice one article that is missing a section of itself, but that just makes it more collectable, am I right? Tongue (It's the article that refers to the process of the Bitcoin Network. The article states something like "Process of the Bitcoin network" at the bottom of the page, and jumps right to step 2 & 3 on the next page. See P. 17/18)

I'd try taking a look at Unity. I would imagine that the Unity platform would work out quite well for what you envision.

Hello! I was wondering if this is currently worth it to purchase at the current difficulty (http://www.butterflylabs.com/pre-order-form/). At my current estimates, not including electricity costs, it would take about 233 days to gain back the initial investment.

I'm rather unfamiliar with mining, and I don't possess the technical knowledge to put together a rig, so something like this is ideal for me. I'm just curious Smiley

Sent a deposit if 27 BTC. Thank you for your business.
195  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VirtualMiner 2.0 - Running! on: May 04, 2012, 10:59:50 PM
Curiously, do you have to remain in desktop mode with the virtual miners in Monitor? Or will they continue to mine even when you're offline?
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Grooveshark.com and their response to bitcoins on: May 04, 2012, 10:20:29 PM
Curiously, did you also pass along something like BitPay? I know a few companies who refuse to accept BTC because they think they have to do all of the exchanging manually.

Would be very awesome for them to start accepting BTC :O
197  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VirtualMiner 2.0 - Running! on: May 04, 2012, 05:28:18 PM
I'm slightly confused. When playing the game, purchases are made with VMC, correct?

So, in order to play, you deposit coins, use the exchange, and then buy the virtual items you need?

Also, how much VMC does a virtual miner cost? I can't seem to find that anywhere.

Look forward to playing Smiley

Edit: Found the answers to my question. Reading comprehension is a pain.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - An Analysis; anyone watched this? on: May 04, 2012, 05:10:19 PM
I'll have to take a look at this tonight. I'm quite interested to see what they say.
