4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 03, 2014, 01:52:18 PM
Considering buying one of the AntMiners (was going to buy about 10 of them), but it said it's 18 BTC for just one miner. What... ?
5  Economy / Lending / Re: Loans and the acceptance of DOX on: January 16, 2014, 03:03:15 PM
Because this is how it used to be done ~2.5 years ago, and it nearly led to the (what would have maybe only have been temporary, however, we will never know) ruin of the BTC economy, and would have, if some people didn't bail out thousands of BTC of default from their own pockets.

EDIT: This is the tldr version of the story.

So why wasn't legal action taken? Or maybe perhaps point me to the story? I'd like to read it.

It's a cryptocurrency, governments don't regulate them, therefore there can be no action taken.

Anyone used the Tails OS yet? I personally enjoy it when I'm on the go and in public computers.

Tails, I just like the privacy aspect in it mostly.
8  Economy / Lending / Need loan of 0.3 BTC on: January 07, 2014, 07:06:25 PM
Hi,

I need a loan of 0.3 BTC to pay for an invoice, in exchange I have a ton of domains as collateral, one unique "niche" being upon (.) pw.
I'm willing to transfer about 10 domains of mine to a trusted escrow for collateral if needed.

Domains (all registered at namecheap.com):
belmao (.pw)
upon (.pw)
cheatbro (.com)
hostkvm (.net)
iosjailbreak (.pw)
decoderz (.net)
monitordot (.com)
rsec (.io - $60 value for .io alone)
secretforums (.net)

In addition if needed, I have a domain which has / have over 5m unique hits per every few months (~1m hits/month).

(Can also transfer the WHOIS guard subscriptions with it - adding even more value).

Please let me know if you can loan me the money, to be paid back in 12 days.

Actually not a bad idea mate.
I'd love to have that for sure, but put it into home security, if all hell breaks lose (which it will at some point in our lifetime or our children) to detect guns/weapons, and alert you so you're safe on guard.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exploit? on: January 07, 2014, 01:35:51 AM
To be quite frank, I wouldn't call this an exploit, however just good strategy.
It's like if you go to an antique shop and buy something for $100, you wait 5 years and go to a pawn shop and sell it for $300 - you've made a profit.

What you're talking about is just buying low, selling high, which is what most people do.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / hello on: January 07, 2014, 01:25:29 AM
Hey guys, I had to re-join here, because I had an account before, but I moved since and changed ISPs, computers, emails, etc. and have lost my other account.
Regardless, I'm back and happy to be back.

So, how has everybody been recently? Anything new and/or exciting? For me the most exciting news is (and it shows how much I've actually used BTC) is that I've done over 11 BTC in transactions as of today. Going to have to earn money to pay for a few bills soon, however, as I'm left with about 0.01 btc in my balance.

Thanks,
newbminer
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie implementing Bitcoin into existing coin & bullion business. Advice? on: January 07, 2014, 01:15:55 AM
If you accept BTC for gold, diamonds, etc. and bitcoin prices fall, you would of lost money and the person you sold to would of gained a lot of profit.
