and when tokens go to the stock exchange? I just want to understand when investors can get the first income? If, of course, the price of the token goes up.
I did not find information about the exchange, if there is such information for someone else, please share it with us. But I think that after entering the exchange tokens will fall in price. it will be necessary to wait for the start, then the growth will be guaranteed judging by the technical documentation of the project, the prospect is simply huge, since if all this functionality works, then the platform will have a huge number of users. so the demand for tokens will grow and the price too, and it's just fine for those who buy tokens at a discount now. such people will be able to earn a substantial sum.

If for example I want to deploy my project in the cloud, then what will be the cost of capacity. Will it be cheaper than for example Amazon *? I just want to understand. And can I store sites on this hosting?
This is an interesting question. I would like to know the cost of the services on the platform will depend on the value of the token on the exchange or all the same it will be equated to the dollar. This can potentially be a big problem, because it will be unprofitable for the owners of tokens, when growing, to pay as a means of payment for the purchase of the service. Here I agree with you. I think the developers will find a way out of this situation, for example, they will introduce a system of a double token or something in this spirit. It will be convenient.

I noticed that the project has an experienced team, I think you will get everything since the application development system needs to be changed and it will be excellent that it will be open plus it will help many people who do not even have diplomas but have the skills to earn good money.
Here I agree with you, but many industry leaders will not want to switch to such a system, as it is advantageous for many to hide the code of their software in order to be able to manipulate users.

Other / Beginners & Help / How to disable internal OC protection on Sapphire ATI HD6970 under Linux?
|
on: July 03, 2011, 03:31:00 PM

Hi there,
I'm running a Sapphire HD 6970 with Phoenix under Windows 7 and I get around 430 MHash/s with this setup. I achieved this value by enabling ATI Overdrive in the ATI ControlCenter, raising the core clock to 935 MHz and setting the "Power Control setting" to +8%, mem clock stays untouched as higher values did not improve performance.
For various reasons I would like to mine under Linux, but as far as I can see, there's no way to set the "Power Control setting" under Linux!?
Sure, you can use the "aticonfig --odsc" command to set core and mem clock, but when doing so and setting the clocks to 935/1375, the overall performance decreases to a much lower MHash/s value, and it's exactly the same under Windows 7. The card seems to slow down on its own. The only way to avoid this is to raise the "Power Control setting", which is not available under Linux, neither as an aticonfig command nor in the CCC gui.
Does anybody know how to "set the card free" under Linux? Thanks for your help!

Other / Beginners & Help / How can I monitor/log multiple miners?
|
on: June 12, 2011, 02:30:36 PM

Hi there,
I set up a local mining pool with one bitcoind server and 4 other machines running Debian6 and poclbm. Now I was wondering how I can monitor oder watch the mining progress? On mining.bitcoin.cz, e.g., you can view the current stats for every worker. That's exactly what I want to see, just on my local "cluster". How can I grab the data? How do you usually monitor your miners? Or do you just keep mining blindly and wait for a block to eventually finish and payout? Thanks for your help!
Cheers, Rob

Bitcoin / Mining / How to monitor bitcoind correctly?
|
on: June 10, 2011, 09:46:34 AM

Hi folks, up to now, I did some pooled mining on mining.bitcoin.cz as I was lacking some "serious" hardware. Now I set up a bitcoind server on my local net with 4 clients. Now I was wondering how to correctly monitor the creation of bitcoins, just to keep an eye on the overall progress of creating a block. When I query the server with getinfo it returns: { "version" : 32100, "balance" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 129788, "connections" : 6, "proxy" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "difficulty" : 567358.22457067, "hashespersec" : 0, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1306930496, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "errors" : "" } That doesn't tell me that much, does it? On the web-based pooled mining site you have this clear overview of how much your workers have calculated so far. It would even be sufficient to see the cumulated local miner pool performance in bitcoins/time. Is there any way to get that out of a running server? I hope you know what I mean..? Thanks in advance, Rob
