181  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: November 05, 2012, 05:03:03 AM
Maybe someone figured out how to (almost) always win his ticket. Some mining pool or some big miner maybe  Cool
182  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MtGox Volatility Trading Bot [GMVT-BOT] on: October 30, 2012, 05:29:45 AM
Even through you don't have any investor information, I commend you for your efforts and actually BEING THERE for us. Even if you are powerless for now.  Tongue

What do you mean being there? I'm still here  Cool I have my own bitcoins invested in bonds/shares on GLBSE. So I hope Nefario will send assets information to issuers as soon as possible. Don't know why it's taking so long.
183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: October 28, 2012, 05:27:50 PM
That spike either is a whole new mining operation coming online or a couple ASICs being used, either way someones going to have a bunch of btc to dump or hopefully horde.

The last weeks showed us clearly that the mining difficulty is not bound to the market price. And if someone has "so much hash power" it does not mean he gets 'so much more' BTC it usually means everybody gets less BTC. And this is not even a spike, maybe just another botnet-operator who found out about btc mining.

No, it IS bound to the market price. As long as the mining is profitable the difficulty will rise. And current bitcoin price is still VERY profitable for miners. Therefore more hardware is coming online each day. There is no perfect correlation because buying more hardware takes some time and there is risk of prices going down but in general correlation is obvious.
184  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Goat trying to send us a cryptic message? on: October 26, 2012, 07:44:44 AM
He's renaming his threads that are dealing with his GLBSE assets to single letters, like P stands for TYGGR-BOND-P, A for TYGGR-BOND-A etc...
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: why is the price holding stable? on: October 22, 2012, 05:46:09 AM
I think the bitcoin is too expensive now for many (I personally stopped buyng around 8 USD  Cool) and on the other hand sellers are waiting for block reward halving and accumulating their bitcoins. So there are lower volumes and therefore lower volatility.
186  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: October 19, 2012, 06:42:11 PM
I would rather send him the coins back cause he may refuse to give you list of your assets (+ codes or whatever) afterwards.
187  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: October 19, 2012, 09:54:41 AM
So, for anyone reading this who has gotten a double payment, the return address is 1BgPRMk4uaJrohM1T9Cn4Hd9pHaEL6FH5j

It would be better to return the coins without me having to chase you for them.

Just read it.

Should I return the full double payment, or take my 10% out of it?

Wouldn't it be better, to mail everyone who has gotten a double payment with a different address, so you can keep track of returned funds and who will get the 10% remaining?

Or will everyone get them no matter if he returns them and you just hope all people are honest (which the aren't).

I will return the funds, but I don't want to make you clusterfuck even worse (all returns in one address, some minus 10%, some full), so please send out a mail to all accounts with details.

Thank you.

+1, should I return all or just everything above 100%? Double payment was sent to my offline wallet and it will take me some time to return them. At least a mail should be sent, not everyone is reading forums. This is a major fuck-up. Geez.
BTW, before sending coins, Nefario should have sent account information to everyone (number of bitcoins in account + number of shares holding of each asset + csv of account transactions).
188  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: October 15, 2012, 05:33:28 AM
nothing received yet as well.
189  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MtGox Volatility Trading Bot [GMVT-BOT] on: October 12, 2012, 07:34:16 AM
So how is the GLBSE closure going to affect GMVT-BOT?

I haven't decided yet. After Nefario provides a list of investors there are some options:

1. Close down the operation, i.e. move bitcoins from exchanges (including buying bitcoins for current fiat balances) and distribute bitcoins to investors. This is the easier option for me.
2. Move to other exchange. It depends if this can be easily done, if some other exchange owner allows to move asset there and if we will have to pay additional costs for this move. I'm not sure if some other exchange can be safe enough.
3. Administer the dividend payouts by myself. I'm not sure if this option is feasible if there are many small investors. The frequency of payouts would change to once per month or once per 2-3 months maybe. Maybe I would buy back shares from small investors to continue like this if they will agree.

What are opinions of my investors?

Edit: Bots are still working meanwhile and profits are being accumulated.

you may find someone who will ID on your behalf then give you the coins he receives. The tricky part is to find that someone willing to  Wink

hmm, I don't have a passport and I'm not going to get one. It will cost me more time and money that I have in my GLBSE account not counting the possibility of compromising my ID. In EU you can travel without a passport on your country's ID (no passports are needed). Enjoy my couple of BTC you nefarious scammer  Cool I wonder how many people will comply and trust this guy to give him their IDs.

194  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE not replying to my support tickets. account locked. on: September 14, 2012, 06:06:56 PM
I have problems with logging in to my account and end up doing password reset quite often. I have 2-factor authentication and I really doubt someone is able to log in to my account and change the password. None of my bitcoins have been stolen. It's weird and might be related to me connecting to my account from different computers. Regarding 2-factor authentication I noticed that GLBSe time is a bit behind the time in my Google Authenticator and I need to wait until the time period to enter the code is at least halfway through to press the withdraw button. Try this, or try it when you are connected to internet and Google Authenticator can synchronize with te server. BTW, GLBSE support is pain in the ass, I had to wait 2 weeks to have my ticket resolved and be able to issue additional shares. Nefario is responsible for almost everything and no other can do most of the tasks.
195  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 23/459 on: September 14, 2012, 11:58:17 AM
he's still checking the forums.

...that's what I am hoping...and if I ask REALLY nice-like, perhaps I will get paid.

It would really suck for him to break the trust that so many people have had for him over the past months.
Maybe he's trying to teach us all a lesson ? ...and he will re-appear, like the second coming of christ !

Let's all pray to Satan or whoever we chose, that pirateat40 returns with all of our lost bitcoins and has stories of a grand adventure to tell us all once he has returned.

He checked the forum about 13 hours ago, so I believe there is still hope and if he returned, I would great him as a brother.

I heard he will have his own presentation at bitcoin conference in London to tell everybody how his con was prepared and executed from the day 1. Then he will thank everybody who participated and will vanish to his Caribbean island. Cool
196  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MtGox Volatility Trading Bot [GMVT-BOT] on: September 11, 2012, 04:54:11 AM
Very interesting concept. Have you looked into arbitrage opportunities and creating a security for that? If you can move quickly, especially between exchanges, grabbing 1%+ seems possible on a somewhat regular basis since this is a fairly slow moving market (compared to, say, NYSE, where there's thousands of AIs looking for arbitrage opportunities all the time and milliseconds make or break them)?

Maybe some time in the future when I will have a lot of free time to develop, fine-tune and test such a bot. Goat had failed with his arbitrage bot, beacause of the amount of fiat money he had to move between exchanges and had many other problems because of that (money laundering accusations, terrorism). You may check TYGGR-BOT thread somewhere here on these forums.
197  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MtGox Volatility Trading Bot [GMVT-BOT] on: September 10, 2012, 09:05:24 PM
So, finally Nefario fixed it and 700 additional shares were issued.
198  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] MtGox Volatility Trading Bot [GMVT-BOT] on: September 08, 2012, 06:37:23 AM
Just to let you know, the motion to issue additional 700 shares has passed:

% to pass motion: 60
Voted Yea:563
Voted Nay:79

But I still don't have those additional shares in my account. I have opened support ticket on GLBSE and it is assigned to Nefario right now. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon. I will put an ask at 0.1 afterwards. Some of those shares (around 200) I plan to buy myself if they won't be sold.
Any word on the new shares? Are they still held up by Nefario?

Yep. Still no response from Nefario on that support ticket.

Did you click on "issue more security" in your asset portfolio page?

I didn't have that item under Security administration panel. Now Nefario responded to the ticket and it is there. But still I'm not able to issue those shares. When I try, I get the "You need to get your security holders to vote to allow you to issue." error message.
