My Trezor pretty much never connects the first time I plug it in and go to mytrezor.com. I have to unplug/plug it back in multiple times before it finally connects. It usually just freezes at the "loading" part. Anyone else have the problem?  Love the device, but this is extremely annoying.

Hello, firstly, please try to use another USB cable. Our choice of supplier wasn't the best decision... If it does not help, please write to support@bitcointrezor.com, they'll help you find the problem or we'll replace your unit.

do they ship in asia?

If list of countries on buytrezor.com is missing your country, please write to support@buytrezor.com.

Hehe, I don't want to read the whole thread. Which shipping company you use? I only accept DHL.

DHL is in process, right now we do use national posts (USPS in US). Actually returning rate is quite low so far and no device has been lost yet. The only downside is that delivery may take some time to some countries, comparing to DHL...

What about using your trezor to digitally sign arbitrary data? Does it have that functionality? I'm guessing it does since they have plans to use it for authentication but not sure.

I remember that I already answered this earlier. TREZOR has support of signing bitcoin messages already (like Bitcoin-qt, Electrum and others), it's not in myTREZOR yet (will be very soon).

The problem with passwords is that people know there is (at least one) password set on the device when it's plugged into the computer.

The solution is to press "Forget device" everytime you leave computer. Problem solved, even without any weird logic in mytrezor Wink.

Trezor has very low power consumption, I would be very surprised if that's the issue...

I bought a USB powered HUB + a new cable, now it works flawlessly.

Smiley

Okay, I'm surprised :-)

Edit: Trezor's drain is much lower than 500mA which is USB standard...

Really weird that it would work without a problem on the other computer but not on mine and my laptop.

In few days we'll release Trezor Bridge, a replacement for Trezor Plugin, which should fix these weird issues...

the trezor it only shows this and keeps "loading" without ever stopping:

Please try to disconnect Trezor, press Forget device and plug it in once again. Sometimes drivers get stuck on fresh installation.

But what is the advantage of entering the key into trezor instead of directly into the web interface. Once the whole key is entered the address is sweapt within seconds (I assume) so even if an attacker was infiltrating the PC, no harm could be done.

Well, considering highly specialized malware for stealing sweeping private keys to Trezor; such malware can disconnect Trezor just at time when it detects private key entered to UI. Then there's enough time (few seconds are actually enough) to send such private key to remote server and let it sweep all balance. Not very likely, yet possible.

However me and stick had some brainstorming about sweeping private keys and although it's not very comfortable, we came with a solution which might satisfy paranoid users. It won't be worth a hassle for small amounts, rather for people sweeping their lifetime savings to Trezor.

Mine was shipped too. Where there any first editions in that orders? Wink

No Sad. We still have few First edition replacement pieces for RMA purposes and we'll eventually offer them for sale, too. But not yet.

I'm glad to learn you're still putting effort and energy to back the slush's pool dev. It's not something the I would have taken for granted, especially if you take into account all the efforts you've put into the Trezor project

Pool has its own development team and I'm supervising them. There's a lot of effort behind the scene and there's bunch of new features coming very soon. The last thing they're working on now is new website, which offer such features to users...
74  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 04, 2014, 04:25:53 PM
Ideally for privacy your pool would send each new payment to the next public address in the sequence so that every address gets one single payment.  But, of course, this only works if your pool supports sending payments to the deterministic public address sequence.

Yes, this is be possible. Instead of filling bitcoin address, user will put his xpub (master public key of his mytrezor account) and pool will generate unique address for every payout. I have it already in pool's todo, right now we're finalizing new pool website (finally Smiley, then we will add features like this.

There're many cook books how to prepare secure wallets, usually with 20+ points about how to install bootable USB with Linux and Armory on USB token.

Or you can

It would be cool if you could input a private key directly onto the trezor and it would then immediately create a transaction sending it to your trezor addresses.

If you mean sweeping private keys (like casascius coins or Robocoin privkeys), it is quite high in our priority list. I'm not yet sure about input method, entering bits by clicking buttons seems a bit... uncomfortable. Maybe something like PIN entry...?
77  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: August 04, 2014, 12:40:45 PM
I've had to sell it, but I'll buy again if there's an android app and included otg cable.

We're cooperating with Android wallet devs, Trezor should work on Android soon(ish). Then we'll offer bundle with OTG cable as well...

Got my trezor today! Really nice! But got issues with installing Browser plugin! On chrome i get an error message
Code:
Bitcoin Trezor has crashed

Mac, right? We're aware of some compatibility issues. In few days we'll release replacement for Trezor Plugin - Trezor Bridge, which will solve all issues related to NPAPI/browser plugin system.

I'm sorry for such issue, please write to support@bitcointrezor.com about your problems, we'll contact you with beta release of Trezor Bridge for feedback, if it solves your problems.

The glue is maybe a bit stronger than we originally wanted Wink.
