How much BC did you guys get with X11? I'm still on scrypt.
11-13Mhs (3.5 scrypt) and 25-35-50-30 BC dayily on cryptoalts p2p pool blade87
i have 0.2$/1Kwh power cost so better to mine x11 -50% power

http://www.cryptoalts.com/stats/?miner=BDVzHDnFyht4Dpic16wp4CP3R8TPF2rDW7

What settings are you using on X11 on your card, My MSI 280x are only achieving 2.1MH

Not a huge jump, but I'm getting 2.35 MHs on my 280x with these settings,

"xintensity" : "4",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "0",
"shaders" : "0",
"gpu-engine" : "1150",
"gpu-memclock" : "1600"

I'm trying to get scrypt-n to work with sgminer. Can somebody please check what is wrong? I get 100% rejected and sgminer says "low difficulty share of 0.00"

i am not sure if this pool is on the correct fork as i cannot re-sync a "fresh" wallet to this nodes...

Got my wallet to sync by deleting everything but my wallet.dat and .conf, added in the nodes, been mining at p2pool for 122 blocks now, just got my first 120 confirms out of the way for first blocks that I was mining on after the 2k issue. Just sent said coin to Atomic Trade to confirm, it went through no problem. Seems right to me.

Did the same, does Not work for me

What worked for me:

fresh git pull from source
deleted everything but wallet.dat and marucoin.conf
removed all the addnodes i had in there
addnode=62.210.141.204

^^ that ip is the one pool, http://maru.altmine.net/static/ that's mining OK and seemed to sync once i put that one in there.

edit: block 2260 is my latest block from 2 min ago

Wallet doesn't work... upon opening.. 'unable to bind 0.0.0.0:15714 on this computer, Whitecoin is probably already running'

Followed by

'Failed to listen on any port. Use -listen=0 if you want this.

Do you have a Blackcoin wallet that is already running? Because i had the same issue. Apparently you can only have one open. Blackcoin or Whitecoin.

Yeah, when the whitecoin dev was doing his copy/paste job he forgot to change the port# from the one BC uses.  Not a great sign.

blackcoinminer.com or blackcoinpool.com

suggestions?  I was using blackcoinpool but it's down now.  blackcoinminer.com any good?

ya it's good but the hashrate might take down the node, the pools in new uncharted waters atm Smiley

My pool below seems to be handling 150 MH/s but as Zackgeno96 mentioned, this is now turning into a stress test for the failovers.  Smiley

At least I should get a good idea of what kind of setup and bandwidth will be required in the BC P2Pool expansion project. To those mining this failover, please be sure to set a failover of the failover. Tongue

Seeing your pool steady over 185 MH/s with the other pools being down.  Seems to be handling it well so far.

update from main pool devs:

Quote
TheDogeOfWallSt> We are feverishly working on our issues, we are completely changing the way we are storing to DB
<TheDogeOfWallSt> This is the source of the pay out issues
<TheDogeOfWallSt> We have hired an additional developer at our exepnse
<TheDogeOfWallSt> for the day
<TheDogeOfWallSt> We should hopefully on be done for a few hours
<TheDogeOfWallSt> We might bring stratum up a few times to make su re shares are being recorded
<TheDogeOfWallSt> My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused

just pasting this here for anyone not on IRC.  Looks like the pool is going to be mostly down to fix payout issues for a few hours
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 24, 2014, 06:22:01 PM
I noticed something alarming:
The price of BC directly depends on one multipool being on. When BCmultipool is down, BC goes down, even if there are others multipool available (check what happened today between 15 and 16h30 GMT). This gives these guys at BCmultipool an insane amount of power. They could orchestrate a shutdown, get the money and stat the pool again.

I am concerned.

I can tell I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I think this is a case where correlation != causation.  The pool is still only buying once per day as far as I know so it's not like the latest correction was caused by pool buy support suddenly disappearing.  I think the spike to 9k and subsequent correction are simply whales trying to piggyback a pump & dump on the steady climb we're on.  Given the resilience we're seeing I'm not concerned about any of it.  It is exciting to watch though.

Hi lacross.

We (blackcoinminer) are still closed until the mid week.. working on upgrades.

mello - the miner stats page is still up and it looks like people are mining on it.  It keeps getting mentioned in IRC as well.  You might want to stop stratum or move to a diff port# if you are testing to keep people from hitting yours if they have it set as a failover.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 24, 2014, 03:33:53 PM
I'm thinking about starting the first exchange that uses blackcoin as the primary coin of exchange. The code I have been working on would be similar to mintpal.

For example we would have:
BC <-> BTC
BC <-> LTC
BC <-> PPC
BC <-> DOGE
etc...

This would allow multipool exchange operators to directly exchange into blackcoin making it cheaper and easier for everyone. We could even do trading discounts on targeted currencies.

How much interest is there in this idea? I love the idea of a blackhole currency that absorbs weaker altcoins.

We were talking about this on irc yesterday.  I think an exchange using BC could do 0% fees and use the BC stake to make their profit instead.  Could be a nice hook for an exchange to grab some market share.  Haven't really looked at the numbers to see if this is doable, but at least they could lower fees.

edit: i take it back, the value of BC would have to be a lot higher before this could work.

Hello,

I need a bit of help, I am new to linux.
After, I download the source what are the next steps to get the BC wallet.
Could anyone explain me the steps.

Big thank you...

You'll prob need to get quite a few dependencies before it will compile for you.  Not sure if there's a tutorial for blackcoin, but the dependencies are pretty standard with all wallets,

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1tvmnd/dogecoin_on_linux_the_complete_beginners_guide/

step 3 is the main one that should get most of that part out of the way.  For the rest you've either already done it (grabbed source) or would need to adjust directory and filenames to work for blackcoin.

Fucking broken source!!!

FUCKING FAIL LAUNCH FOR LINUX USERS

you can copy a Makefile from another coin, i grabbed it from Leafcoin.  the one in src/leveldb/Makefile

should compile then

Can someone can tell me what's the address of the new BlackHole pool ?

http://www.bcpool.co/

or

http://blackcoinpool.com/

Huh?

http://blackcoinpool.com/

is the new official pool in closed beta.

http://www.bcpool.co/

is also in beta, alternate pool built by another BC community member.  Test them all out, it's good to have a failover pool.

Its funny to see the shear panic sells, I was at the bottom eating all your crap,and turned it into a pearl Cheesy

you guys see one dead cat bounce and assume the ship has been righted? Why not wait a bit longer to see whats really going on. Just bags switching hands is all. That is where we are at with  this coin. You seem to forget the value is down 55% from yesterday.

jomama22 is smart. All you delusional bagholders need to heed his words, the coin is dead -- you had your chance to sell for a profit but missed it. Cut your losses and move on.

Now for a bit of a stroll down memory lane. Remember these idiots? Lol, I wonder how they are enjoying the taste of their own dicks right now (or each other's, as is probably the case).

LOL, i thought about digging up some of these troll posts too, good for a laugh.  I'm still holding the bag too.

Does Anyone know when and if the bcmultipool will open again?

I didnt had a change to 'mine' as much Blackcoin as I wanted, earlier.

Radiostatic sounded confident it would be by friday, maybe a little earlier if it all goes well.

So, how do you get the wallet to synch?

here are some of the ip's that show up under getpeerinfo, maybe adding some as nodes to help sync

115.28.129.207
201.141.151.245
162.243.90.199
121.28.223.22
189.147.218.116
80.1.252.192

Can someone explain how the Stake field works in the wallet .. right now it's showing "Stake: 0.00 BC". What exactly does it mean and if there were BC in the stake field... what does it do?

Thanks!

When you get a PoS block whatever chunk of your BC that staked will move temporarily from Balance to Stake for a while, then move back to balance.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 15, 2014, 01:12:58 AM
ok, one thing concerns me.. Radiostatic said that now we done aprox 2 btc per hour, which makes around 50 btc per day. With current price we should mine (or receive) 2,380,952.38 BC per day... ok lets do roundings to 2 mln. if some ppl store their BC (lets say 10 - 15 mln) where the whole amount is 75 mln of BC, only 60 will be circulating.. we will turnover it in 1 month.. If we will see rapid increase in price.. no one will sell, hoping to sell in future for higher price. This will force Radiostatic further to boost up price of buy orders.. then wee could see massiv, terrible massive drop in price, cause lot of ppl will want to sell. Of course if there will be some proper proportion it won't go that way.. but still we need to spend our BC to see balanced growth in value. I am not pesymistic and don't want to troll, cause I am personally involved into this but there is some danger I guess..

Pool is around 1.45 Gh/s - I don't think we are going to do 2BTC /hr at that rate.  12-14 BTC /day is probably more realistic until the hash rate starts to climb like we all know it will.

As far as selling once the price starts to climb, everyone has a different # in their head as to what they'd like to see.  That should lead to staggered selling. I think the benefit of this sort of steady buying pressure is we shouldn't see big spikes/drops like a pump & dump.  If it's just sorta walking up 5-20% per day or whatever it's a lot easier to hold and not panic like when they double in a few hours and you just know a dump is coming.

Do u guys know how many BC I can mined with 2 x 290 (non x)?

I'm expecting to get about .01 BTC worth per Mhs per day, so whatever that works out to for you.  A lot depends on how the price of BC behaves.

edit: i'm expecting less than that this weekend since it's beta and the exchanging and payouts are still manual.

Mining hasn't been at 0.01 BTC / MH / day for a while now. Coinwarz 10 MH/s, you'll see the most profitable coins are around ~$45 per day (assuming $0 electricity too). Versus $630 BTC, that's 0.007 BTC / MH/day. I've even been having days mining DOGE that have dropped to 0.005 BTC / MH / day. It's pretty much been like that all month and may only get worse if the crypto market continues its decline.

Seems like some decent coins are missing off there.  SPA has been bouncing between 6-10/day.  Prosper, dope and a few others have been over the $6 mark consistently as well, though not at the moment.
