i have two rigs with same hardware and 5x280x
one has 2gb ram and the other 4gb ram
in the 2gb ram i can set hc512 and it works.
in the 4gb i can't even when its in the bat file, it works automaticly with 248 hashcnt. when i set gpu alloc100 the miner doesn't even start
trt400+-
the performance diffrence is so big between the two? will there be a fix?
Try to enable alloc100 and set "-hc 320". can't enable GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 with set, only setx works which makes me reinstall windows. the cmd says variable enviorment not defiend still hashct 248 Use it like this:set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 set makes the comand local, setx makes it permanent in registry. You dont have to reinstall Windows, you can remove variable from registry, look in this thread. set works with = setx with <space> @Claymore: Little success with stability on my rig: 10h without crash on 3 cards set -hc 512 and 1 card -hc 256 :-) it works now with 320! still trt the same numbers but it seems better for the long run thanks! any fix for 512? |

i'm still in the research phase... if you were just starting out, would you build a rig or just buy certain coins on an exchange?

Q about ypool.
why do i have constantly all the time 30+- unconfirmed xpm's? does it takes longer than mining?
it will stay like this until the last day of my mining? so its like 30 coins are staying in the pool all the time it can stay like this for months.

What's new:
1. Added "-hc" option to improve stability for some cards/systems.
2. Added "-ss 2" option to reduce CPU usage even more.
3. Changed GUI: now with "s" key you can select minimal/detailed statistics.
4. Added estimated and average CPD (chains per day) values.
cpu usage with -ss 2 now lowered to 40% on my 5x280x rigs with pentium haswell(about 7% per instance), and gpu usage up to 95%+-. great work |

... Your CPU is too slow to handle 6 cards, you should get about 120K 4ch/h for 280X. In future versions I will decrease CPU usage. Core number is important? I want to try AMD FX-4XXX or AMD FX-6XXX Number of cores must be >1 for good results. Anyway, I just found how to reduce CPU usage again, so I will add "-ss 2" option back in v2.1, I will release it in a couple of hours. I see about 50% less CPU usage with this option so you can mine on x6 cards even with slow CPU at full speed. [/quote] fullspeed? -ss2 won't hurt the gpu bandwidth even a bit? sounds awsome. |

Well this is really driving me crazy my other rig again doesn't work TRT on 0 after reinstalling windows i don't think i should do this again.
it happened after i saw Hashcnt below 512 on my 280x and TRT was on 400 i set the gpu max alloc to 100 and from then and until now its on zero and gpu usage 20% no matter what i change or do.
is there any quick fix for this claymore?
If you used setx, you did it in your registry permanent. see my post some pages back, i did exactly that. There is a way to fix it in registry, but before i found out how, i had already reinstalled windows and started over again.. Now i dont dare to use that comand, since i clearly dont understand where or how to use it. My hscount starts 256 or what it is, but all other stats like 4ch and trt seems better than most report in my case... Stock clocks and no OC whatsoever yet, and no set Max_ALLOCATE code for me yet... Just so i understand. Set makes the value u entered Setx cancels it? there is no command to for cmd to cancel the gpu_max_alloc? sounds wierd. just reinstalled windows and its working now.. |

I'm having some out of memory issues with this miner, perhaps there is a memory leak? My machine has 4 280x, and 4 GB memory. Is this too little? Perhaps it was just a fluke, but I woke up this morning to find the miner spitting out a blank error dialog, and windows complaining it had to shut down the miner due to memory. So far I am frustrated, being unable to keep the miner stable for more than 24 hours. For the amount of time it did run however, it mined coin extremely well, clearly Claymore knows his shit and I am grateful! Hopefully I can figure out this issue, has anyone else had memory related problems?
+1 Listen its wierd because i have the exact same issue with my rig with 5x280 that has 4GB ram, but my other rig with 5x280 works perfectly stable with 2GB ram! running 3 days straight Claymore? |

10% it's high but there's nothing more profitable than xpm in no brain mining mode at the moment... i don't mind donating to Claymore, you think if all my gpus will be on nofee0 ill be making more profits? Didn't you read readme? If nofee 1, then your equipment is 25% slower. We need to support claymore, so he could make better miner. I would like to see temp and fan control in miner. At the moment card fans are on default, but I would like to keep them cooler with faster fan. Is there a some kind of lightweight programm for controlling multiple GPU fans and temp?! How complex is it to add to miner? MSI Afterburner, though you cant control each fan, it controls all the fans like it was 1 fan |

Just made a chart on Excel to measure performance.
i own 15 280x.
2 rigs have 5x280 each with pentium haswell so the gpu usage wasn't too good, hope claymore can fix this for low-end cpus. the other cards are seperated between 3 rigs.
Right now i'm making 3.32XPM Per GPU Per day | 2.08XPM per Hour for all my rigs, which is not Ideal. i think that couple of my gpus are making 5+ per day and some 2- cause of the bottleneck.
nofee is on. these are all measured by confirmed xpm's, although i have 20+ unconfirmed
any results for you guys?

on the rigs that work i have nofee 1 and gpu usage stays on 65-70%. is it ok? Try everything I can but can't solve,can not mining XPM on this rig. If you set nofee 1,you'll lost 25% or more hash speed,it is write in readme file. @Clay If you need more information I'd glad to help. Just reinstalled windows 8.1 + 13.12. with version2.0 Same here. Reinstall win7-64 and 13.12,still don't work. g1610 h61b 8G 270*6 doesnt work.
Only main card plug on pcie 16x can get 60k 4ch,98% GPU useage.
the others got 99% GPU useage at the first 2 senonds,and drop to 0.
it can run any other crypto like: scrypt,scrypt-N,X11 etc, use all 6 cards.
an other rig with 280*4 works fine, 110k 4ch per card. what can cause this? i have another rig with exact same hardware that works! just ssd is dieffrent. on the rigs that work i have nofee 1 and gpu usage stays on 65-70%. is it ok? |

Help Guys.
i have two rigs with 5x280x each! exact same hardware pentium haswell with h81 pro btc
with version2.0
the first rig works perfcet. some gpu usage ups and downs but still works.
on the second rig the miner doesn't work for any of the cards,as the instance launches the display driver crashes and the TRT is on 0.
anyone knows what can cause this? cgminer still works perfectly on this rig with 3.6MH/s.
running 13.12 on both rigs
