Maybe problem is that CPU is A4-6300 APU?

I don't think so, though cannot be sure. In a few hours I'll release v2.1 with "-hc" option, then try to set "-hc 256" or "-hc 128", perhaps it will help. Also try "AMD Clean utility" to remove Catalyst completely, then install 13.12.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

"-ss 2" - there is no such option in v2.0, check latest readme, it works same as "-ss 1".
Your CPU is too slow to handle 6 cards, you should get about 120K 4ch/h for 280X. In future versions I will decrease CPU usage.

Number of cores must be >1 for good results. Anyway, I just found how to reduce CPU usage again, so I will add "-ss 2" option back in v2.1, I will release it in a couple of hours.
I see about 50% less CPU usage with this option so you can mine on x6 cards even with slow CPU at full speed.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

fullspeed? -ss2 won't hurt the gpu bandwidth even a bit?

sounds awsome.

It decreases mining speed by 3-4% only.

I ran for a few hours, came back and noticed no shares being found, unlike how they were at the beginning.

Checked the Afterburner graph and see that the GPU temp dropped down to 32 -- i.e. GPU stopped being used.

Question: if the driver crashes and relaunches does that completely kill the mining?  B/c if so, the miner is pretty useless for unattended mining.

This system is 64 bit Windows 8.1 with the 13.12 driver but still, perhaps because the clock is too high, but it seems like the driver crashes sometimes and restarts.  The mining process needs to detect if there is something critical not working and relaunch if necessary otherwise it just doesn't work, right?

Anyone else have a similar problem?  I'd love to be able to leave the mining going at least 8 hours while sleeping and feel confident it's going to keep mining.

I uploaded v2.1 to my MEGA folder, see original post for the link.

What's new:

1. Added "-hc" option to improve stability for some cards/systems.
2. Added "-ss 2" option to reduce CPU usage even more.
3. Changed GUI: now with "s" key you can select minimal/detailed statistics.
4. Added estimated and average CPD (chains per day) values.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

cpu usage with -ss 2 now lowered to 40% on my 5x280x rigs with pentium haswell(about 7% per instance), and gpu usage up to 95%+-. great work

hardware: 4x r9 280x with an Athlon II x2 240e(2 cores)
With -ss 2 my 4ch increased from 103k to 120k, while cpu usage drop from 83% to 50%, nice!

You should specify "-sd 1" or "-sd 0", not just "-sd". Same for other parameters.

Tested on my rigs,270 should set hc to 300 or 320,TRT is better than 256, driver crashed over 350.

Something interesting happened during the process of testing.

Yes, "-ss 0" works. If you get lower GPU usage it means you CPU load is too high, don't use this option.
