Yes you can hold your altcoins in your wallet for how many years you want. But you need to transfer it to exchanges to sell. You do not know prices of your holdings until you check the market regularly. And another thing you can do sell or hold your coins for how long you want. They will not die neither their prices are different from the market prices even when you keep your coins in your wallets.

Unfortunately, I am yet to buy the king bitcoin and mother coin ethereum as I am a small-sacle investor and I cannot afford to buy these expensive coins. But I wan't to buy ethereum as I like the coin very much and it has much potentiality to grow over time. I have heard about cryptocyrrency some one and a half years ago.

I do not think that facebook is creating its own cryptocurrency as it is too much against it so far. It is good news however that facebook has loosened its earlier crypto ads ban partially. I think average investment is above $50000. as you have talked about ico, I am not much interested in it. I have heard that it is much risky to turn money in ico than in already established coins. I also think so because new ICOs may be scams.

I entirely agree with you on this subject. It is we, the investors, who can determine the market. If we invest more, prices of cryptocurrency will increase and vice versa. But what we should do is promote and encourage only good coins in order to avoid loss and encourage goodness.

It is really really difficult to say which coins are good. There are hundreds of coins out there in the market, and most seem to be working well. But there are some criteria that can determine which coins are good. Project team, its purpose, technology etc. You can also research yourself, consult crypto expert.

I do not think that cardano will surpass ethereum in the future. It is beyond imagination. Ethereum is one and only altcoin that has real value of cryptocurrency, and it has more potentiality to grow over time. I think, ethereum will surpass bitcoin in the future instead.

Yes we trust in cryptocurrency. It will exist as long as internet does. So it will remain forever here. I think that fiat money and cryptocurrency will go hand-in-hand. One does not replace another. The truth is that most coins are not doing what they are established for.  If you say that 99 % of coins are worthless, you mean the entire crypto is worthless.
