1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not buy Ethereum on: June 09, 2018, 01:04:21 AM
I agree with "1. The ether has infinite emission", I dont like that, I want a hard coin supply limit

I still have owned some Ethereum because I like the experimentation,
and also just because a coin is one way now doesnt mean it cannot change later
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap coin one can mine on: June 09, 2018, 12:47:44 AM
I do not have a Graphics Card, just a laptop,
I started with mining BiblePay, it is a cheap CPU coin,
and I feel good contributing to cancer research
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: June 09, 2018, 12:26:52 AM
This is a tough one, theres a phrase in the crypto community "not your private keys, not your coins"
Id personally lean towards keeping coins in your own wallet, a hardware wallet would be best,
keep coins on exchange that you want to trade
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest personal bitcoin loss on: June 08, 2018, 11:48:17 PM
I bought Bitcoin at $15,000 and now it is worth $7,500...  Sad

I have $5 worth of Bitcoin stuck on a gambling site
and I have $1,000 worth of Bitcoin on an Exchange that never came back

Depends what your goal is, I started off with using google,
and then started reading the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency subreddits:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/

Andreas M. Antonopoulos has great videos for learning:

With more currencies we get more experimentation, they each get to try out different ways of doing things
Also, once another coin experiments, if its a success, it can be added into any other coin,
this is the beauty of open source code

What country do you live in?
