1182  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 21, 2015, 02:42:59 PM
20 years is really long, maybe btc will become useless after just 10 more years, who knows?
10 years? maybe not I think. The mining reward of bitcoin is not low enough so that miners will stop mining. Only one situation can cause bitcoin to die is the digital currency created by governments kills it

No bitcoin will not die. As you said mining will reduce from the bitcoin miners. Now 32500 Bitcoins mining per year. After 20 years We can expect may be 3 BTC only Mining by miner. That time Demand and price for the bitcoin Only get increase. It will not die at all.
20 years is a long time my friend. After that much time, technology has grown to an unimaginable rate that bitcoin maybe just an old and obsolete thing before it reaches 3 BTC mined per year.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will halving affect the value? on: December 21, 2015, 02:40:25 PM
I think Yes it will, because many people will invest in bitcoin before reward halving happen, we will see hike in bitcoin price before halving but after halving it can drop again to stable price range.
We can all expect the price back to the stable price range because after the price got pumped up pretty high people will begin to dump it. Everything will be back to normal Grin
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running Bitcoin core over public wifi on: December 21, 2015, 02:33:45 PM
running bitcoin core can make you caught in serious trouble in my opinion. As you have to sync the block all the time and we all know that everything touches the internet it will cost some for the service provider. When syncing you, you are downloading the whole blockchain (which is 50+ GB) so yes things will go bad quite easily if you are trying to do so.

But if you are running bitcoin core for normal transaction not syncing then I think it's fine Grin bitcoin core doesn't take up much bandwidth.
1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does a node do? on: December 21, 2015, 02:28:27 PM
A node is just a normal bitcoin client. it does exactly the same as your local installed bitcoin client.
it has some different functions I think. A node is able to verify the block validity and help people sync blockchain. It's a bitcoin client but with advanced functions
1186  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: want to host a website on: December 21, 2015, 02:21:46 PM

1187  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: December 21, 2015, 01:11:53 PM
I like your daily payout idea.I'm already member of yobit for past more then 20 days but never seen this theread before.  Grin

How did you join 20 days ago if you only saw this thread today? Cheesy
I find there are no connections between being a member of yobit and seeing this thread. What if he just roamed around in some altcoin announcement and found yobit instead of through signature campaign
1188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: December 21, 2015, 12:06:12 PM
No :/ too low rank to enter some sig campaigns

learn more about bitcoin! Trying going around the forum and making post (just don't ask stupid things) so that you can rank up to member and start participating in some signature campaigns
1189  Economy / Services / Re: WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR 6.5 BTC on: December 21, 2015, 12:02:52 PM

1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it worth it to trade bitcoin over the holidays -- Christmas and New Year? on: December 20, 2015, 03:35:35 PM
yes it is totally worth to trade some over the holiday because things will go wild these day which are great chances for traders to make some. At the moment, the price of bitcoin is decreasing fast so you had better buy some now
1195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin - am I starting out right? on: December 20, 2015, 03:30:50 PM
Firstly, you should only store your bitcoin in paper wallet if you have a big amount of bitcoin. Because paper wallet is for long term storage only
Secondly, you should always use the password and back up your wallet.dat to make nothing will go wrong with your precious bitcoin
Thirdly, the bitcoin sent to your address will be automatically added to your wallet without doing anything and make sure you have synced the wallet

1196  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: December 20, 2015, 03:20:54 PM
Buying a little lower (around 400 dollar) would be good so you can profit much more. Suppose you buy 10 bitcoins and the prices goes up to 2k. Then you will earn 500 dollar extra just on buying a week/few weeks later right.
the problem is where to buy bitcoin at $400 at the moment? and 2k after a week/few weeks? that seems even out of my imagination Grin but it's almost time to buy now! Bitcoin price is dropping
1197  Economy / Services / Re: Catpcha Typing Job! Easy $2-$5/day on: December 20, 2015, 03:03:17 PM
bump to recruit more workers! Grin Still need some here!
1198  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will halving affect the value? on: December 20, 2015, 03:01:46 PM
Got a bad feeling that the pre-halving pump is already over done, after the halving the value would drop back to the pre-pump level.

if you think that it is over, then sell your coins and buy back later Smiley i think the pump has not even started yet. the price goes up, yes. but the real bull run or rally will come 1 or 2 months before the halving.
I agree this is not even the beginning of the pre-halving pump yet. This is the pump coming from China's regulation only. We should hold some bitcoin and wait for the real pump before the halving
1199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: December 20, 2015, 02:44:15 PM
I have earned 0.01 BTC for beta testing a software and 23000 Satoshis through a various faucets.
I have to say that the amount of bitcoin you earned from beta testing is huge! can you show us what kind of software are testing and where did you apply for that?
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: December 20, 2015, 02:40:54 PM
Please elaborate on which time perspective. There is a different scenario for every different time frames.

1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 10 years?
1 week > risky
1 month > less risky
1 year > BUY
10 years > STRONG BUY
Well I think that 10 years is hard to say. the mining reward by then has reduced a lot which can cause the bitcoin supply everyday got lowered and the fees will raise. 5 years is recommended to buy I think and I agree that 1 week is really risky
