Here's where I am at with a manual claim. I bought IOTA tokens in the crowdsale with BTC and JINN and verified my BTC and NXT addresses in the 1st claim. My balance was included in the original genesis, with my private seed generating the public address. My original address is listed in the
Unreclaimed during round 1 list posted by Come-from-Beyond above.
I believed my IOTA tokens would be safe on an IOTA address corresponding to my seed from then, but somewhere along the way, they were not included in an IOTA snapshot it seems. I'm not sure on the details of how this happened.
In February 2017 I tried to use the tokens tied to my seed but got the "Empty Seed" error from the IOTA client when I tried to claim them. I talked to people in the Slack and they told me to get in touch with David. I did, and he instructed me to send an email to
contact@iotatoken.com containing my original seed and a new IOTA address for the tokens to be claimed to.
When the June 9th 2017 IOTA snapshot happened, the manual claim balance for my address was not included. By his comments that day when asked why some manual claims weren't included, I believe David searched the email account(s) for emails with "claim" in the title but I was not instructed to include that.
I have sent another manual claim to David's email address
david@iota.org this time, this time using the word "Claim" in the title. I asked David to confirm he had received it and he confirmed it. Just now I have asked him to confirm that the claim will be included in the next snapshot , scheduled for July 11th 2017 (as far as I'm aware).
It's been a process that has been at times confusing and frustrating, but I believe David will come through and include manual claim balances.
