401  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: January 15, 2016, 11:46:01 AM
Why should fiat be worthless at $10,000  Roll Eyes This would mean a Bitcon market cap of 210 billion $. This is the half of Google's value, a third of Apple's value, around the same as Coca Cola's value, one third of Amazon's value and only 4 times more than Uber's value. Just a short list. So, $200 bln market cap or $10,000 per Bitcoin is not really much.

Fiat would be worthless when Bitcoin is worth at least a million. This would mean that inflation is getting out of control.

I agree with this. 10k per BTC is way too little to have an impact. Even at 1 million per BTC I think there would still be fiat currencies.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Factom. Real deal? on: January 15, 2016, 11:43:07 AM
Did Factom have a ICO? Anyone know what was the ICO price or how much was raised?

404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockpoker speculation on: January 15, 2016, 11:26:19 AM
It seems they have collected some funds via crowd funding earlier. There are many people waiting for their share of the coins. They initially announced a huge million of coins to be giveaway from Jan 1 2016 to 8 2016. Later they dropped their idea of giveaway. They're not frequently talking to people there and updating information regarding their launch. That kills the patience of everyone.

Yes the original coin Isotope had a crowdfund then smartchips took over Isotope and after that Blockpoker took over smartchips. I agree with you'r comments. There should be more updates on development.

406  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: January 15, 2016, 08:51:37 AM
I doubt one Bitcoin will ever buy even a cheap ass house. We will be lucky if we get back to ath in 3 years. There will be competing better alternatives coming that will eat the market share of BTC.

Looks like Cryptsy has been hacked and all the funds are lost.

http://blog.cryptsy.com/

Strange how the theif hadn't spent the coins. They must be waiting for $1000+

What's the address for the stolen funds?

Good luck with your coin.  Smiley

Doesn't look too good for Cryptsy. I remember the good old days when Cryptsy was the biggest altcoin exchange now they are just a shadow of the past.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 15, 2016, 08:09:50 AM
Hello! are there advances in code releases? I want to test it! I want to know how powerful it is, and to start using it on some devices.

I read on Ryver that beta release is 1-2 weeks from now and mainnet launch in early February.
412  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: January 15, 2016, 08:07:46 AM
I believe in blockchain technology. I am not sure if BTC will survive though.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockpoker speculation on: January 15, 2016, 08:04:42 AM
This is what i couldnt figure out.  If it was a scam( which i think it was)  Why didnt he do it better?  He could of dumped his coins for so much more with just a few fake screenshots.  Most of the coins in the wallet that had 67% were dumped at 2k or lower.

Yes it is strange. Now it's another waiting game. I really would hope the project to be real because there's a lot of potential, we will see. I am skeptical but we will see how it turns out in a couple of weeks.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Emercoin's price is all about hype? on: January 14, 2016, 09:20:26 PM
I didn't know anything about a Microsoft partnership that probably explains the recent crazy price action.

417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blockpoker speculation on: January 14, 2016, 08:50:17 PM
Now that Blockpoker main thread is locked let's continue discussion here.
What do you guys think is it a scam or not?
Another delay sounds a bit fishy but we will see. What makes this all strange is that if this was a scam
why didn't the dev hype Blockpoker more, update the website and upload fake screenshots etc.

If we don't hear from dev in the coming weeks we should organize a community takeover
and try to move things forward somehow, I think Idea behind Blockpoker is great so it's worth a shot to try to make it happen.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BP] Blockpoker | First Poker-Service Built on Blockchain Technology on: January 14, 2016, 07:20:19 PM
for me it looks like over, devs made some more bitcoin while selling theri chips that they bought ultra cheap at under 100 sat.
always when there was a buy wall over 500, 1000, 1500 sat someone sold into it.

so why should people sell that much, when not the devs?

i hate when someone scams people once, and i more hate it when someone do it twice.
would lvoe to see someone do legal action against these...... devs because thats really too much scam.
others start to develop, do something then slow project down, do like they give up, or blame the community after a while but in this case its just really really bad and totally wrong promised.

please delete this posts if you really deliver something but i dont beliefe it anymore.

I feel you but I would wait at least another 24h before losing hope.  Smiley

It is not a matter of hope, it is a matter of responsibility and communication.-
I agree that dev could communicate more on this forum even when there aren't too much happening. Some sort of status updates would be nice.

only 232 to 1 sat... Shocked
Yeah doesn't seem too good at the moment. It would be good if dev would give more info on coin swap and launch plans...

Another "visual" detail? Hard to explain.-

They have used that one already Tongue
But seriously I really hope this isn't a p&d scam we have seen so many of those.
I haven't yet given hope on this but like many others I'm skeptical. It's kind of annoying to not being able to do other than wait and hope for the best.
Anyways blockchain based poker client is a really cool idea if Blockpoker doesn't deliver someone most certainly will. Let's all hope that it is Blockpker that delivers.  Smiley
It's not over until the fat lady signs. Tongue
