I still have a node.

I don't have the source code though.

Node's been down for a while. I was in the process of upgrading my pool servers and life got in the way. costs also.

i have a copy of the QT file for windows only, but not the source to fix issues.
And i run the node on Ubuntu, so am after the source to build it for that.

hello everyone.
a bit of a noobie question, but i have not found an answer through search. (or i didn't do my search criteria right)

Does the linux agent handle the O.C. on gpus with the set clocking parameters like on the windows version? or do i need something else to set it up?
or do i need to use claymore instead of phoenix to get it working?
or is there no support for clocking through linux agent?

i see there are ways to do it manually, but would like the easy of AM doing it for me.

cheers
Thanks for your questions.

GPU overclocking is supported by Remote Agent on Linux as well. The properties available for overclocking may not be identical as those available on Windows, so if you ever created a GPU Clocking Profile on Windows you will have to re-create it if you move to Linux.

Thanks for the reply.

I ask because i don't even see my GPU's listed in the clocking tab. They are in the GPU tab, and i have a clocking profile set, but the memory is not clocked up according to the linux profile i made for ETH.
Running 18.04 ubuntu. should i try some other disto, or maybe the 20.04 version is better supported?
GPU's are gtx 1070's.

thanks for your continued efforts.   Smiley
Thanks for the update. Can you please try to run the following for nVidia clocking on Ubuntu:
sudo nvidia-xconfig -a --cool-bits=31 --allow-empty-initial-configuration
sudo reboot

ok, so i had upgrade to 20.04. but it started crashing. after a fresh install on 18.04 again, i am back to where i was.
i have cards on gpu tab.  but now, after your command,  i have gpu 0 only on clocking tab also.

cheers
Thanks for the update. Please restart Remote Agent once, go to the GPU clocking tab for the miner again, then send me the Remote Agent log file.

ok, am not able to do this at this point. Am using cpu gpu for console use. however, i now have a black screen on boot. Rig is running and mining, but only the 1 GPU in clocking tab. 6 gpu's in gpu tab.
also, i noticed on the console tab that, on startup , after a reboot, the mining software on startup says that GPU0 is using kernel #4 while all other gpu's are using kernel #2. and GPU#0 is the only one showing up in the clocking tab. not sure if this helps.
I'll wait for your reply, but may have to wipe and reinstall again to get console screen back. or should i turn off CPU GPU and use the 1070 for cosole use?

also might add that all 1070 GPU shows up in LSPCI, but only 1 GPU shows up when i ran 'ubuntu-drivers devices' before i run your last command.
cheers

Hey everyone.

I am having an issue with GPU clocking.

I have 3 6gb cards and 1 mining 3gb card in one machine. (not ideal, but it is what it is for now.)
my problem is with clocking the GPU's differently.

i have the 3 6gb gpu's as one miner and the 3gb as another. i have the miner set to only use those gpus for that miner.
however, when one of the miners need to change clocking for the algo, it changes it on all gpus. even the gpu that's not set to be controlled by that miner.

is there something i'm missing?

i can set them manually and they mine and work fine. but when the 6gb gpus mine ETH, and the memclock is increased, so is the 3gb gpu that can't and isn't able to mine eth.. even though it's not added to that miner.

i have the 3gb gpu on a seperate profit profile too.

thanks for any help.

hello everyone.

If someone has newer firmware that 16-11-2018, can they share it here?
(or 11-16-2018 for the USA people)

i've found 30-11-2018, but while it boots the miner, it never finds the asics and therefore never mining.

for those that do have newer, but don't have a copy to share, you can use the same imageUSB writer to read a copy of your usb stick and make an image. (just save your json backup file first, then remove you user/pass details, save, read the image with ImageUSB,  then reload you json file. don't want to know your personal details. thanks)

would be great if someone out there has something newer.

cheers.

also, would be good to have a backup for future users...

Hey.
Just tried to get gminer working on nicehash.
apparently, the -pers string should be as below, not set to auto.
every time it ran, the following error would come up.

personalization string should be "Beam-PoW"

changed it to :-

--pers Beam-PoW

and it started mining.

not sure if this needs fixing or nicehash has to fix their end.

leave that up to you.
otherwise, thanks for keeping up the great work.  Smiley

or a gminer error....
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: April 19, 2020, 11:12:16 PM
downgraded to 0.18.2 and all my found blocks are now orphaned and difficulty is fixed.

0.18.3 must default to testnet, even if set to main net.

so much wasted mining......

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: April 07, 2020, 02:12:02 PM
Ok, Tell me, Is 0.18.3 a dud? or is it that so many people have not updated their version yet?

i know i'm not running the testnet, and i have 6 connections, and am fully synced.... but my found blocks do not match that of the feathercoin explorer.....

so what's going on? have i wasted my mining, will mine or theirs become orphaned....

i have a fresh install of 431.60 drivers, done as a clean install.
other mining software is working fine, just no OC.

EDIT: after downgrading to 425.31, bminer still crashes for me with another error, so i'm thinking this one is a rig issue. however, the error while on 431.60 didn't go away when going up to 436.02(latest), so it might help with the OC issue...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: August 21, 2019, 01:31:07 AM
I was hoping someone else would report it .

my
RTX 2060 super
RTX 2070
1660ti

has no fan speed or way to adjust it with the builtin oc..
So it's not only that the Native Overclocking cannot change the fan speed - the current fan speed is not display at all? I've not had any other reports on this issue.

Could you please select a miner and click on the GPU tab, then click "View GPU Details". Please share this information with me via PM or mail. Thanks!

I had to send it back with email the PM on the forums won't allow over 6000 characters.

maybe this will help. I'm getting built in OC fail after updating to 431.60 driver on Nvidia.
worked fine on 425.31.

hope that's not going to create problems for the rest of us on 0.13.0 later on....

Have wallet open today and unlocked for staking - received some ERA yesterday - hope it helps! Sync is up to date with 632,095 blocks of transaction history processed.

if your blockchain is sync'd, how about sharing your port number and ip address for a sync up. i have a static IP, so it wont change. and have had the latest build installed for ages. it can't connect to anyone.....
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New GUN Core V2.0 Released - Masternodes are HERE! on: July 26, 2019, 09:23:40 PM
The Gun 2.0 wallet has a blocktemplate which is incompatible with our stratum server and we've had to stop mining GUN.

GUN was one of the first coins on Hash Refinery and we're sad to see it go. It has been one of the few altcoins where we paid out more than we mine making us a net buyer of GUN on exchanges.

We lost around around 150k GUN in the Cryptopia hack through a withdrawal that got 'stuck' in the days before the hack and this put us behind on payments. Remaining unpaid balances will be paid before GUN is completely removed form the pool.

Thanks to everyone for their support and best wishes to Guncoin in the future.

this is a Yiimp based pools problem, it seams, as i'm having weird block reward values pop up also...
currently, it says 0.

yes, the windows and mac versions work.

I was after a linux build.

i rebuilt it from the downloaded source, and it's seems to work.

will see in a while if it mines right...

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Set Global Electricity Price (per kWh) via API? on: June 06, 2019, 05:35:41 AM
Hey Patrike,
Is there a way to set the Global Electricity Price (per kWh) via HTTP API?
Thank you!
There are no feature to set the value via API today.

You can set the price via the Rules, where you can use the Action called Set Property. You can for example use the rules to define different electricity prices depending on time or day. Rule actions can also be triggered via the API if needed.

I do understand this doesn't give as much flexibility as having an API method for setting an exact price from an external application. Please let me know if you still prefer the API method and I will look into supporting it when possible. Thanks!
Hey Patrike,

If you could add it to your ever expanding "to-do list" that would be awesome! That would help me a lot!

Here in Texas we have the option to go with a variable rate electricity plan that changes the price per kWh every 5 minutes. I'm currently monitoring the real-time price and have different rules and profiles setup in AM for my miners. For example, if the price per kWh goes crazy, up to say $1.00 /kWh, then my mine basically shuts down until the price drops. If the price goes negative (which happens often at night), the miners will overclock and go nuts!

One more thought that might open up a whole new world of possibilities for AM: What if you gave us the option to pass a variable into AM via API that could be used elsewhere in the application? Maybe just a few empty variable slots (Var1, Var2, Var3, etc.) then those variables could be used as "Triggers" inside a rule. Just a thought.

Thanks again!
The API method for electricity price should be possible to include in the near future as it's only a matter of exposing a feature already available.

Thanks for the suggestion about variables, that would make sense as well. Another concept available already today via the triggers are Miner Tags. You can set Tags on miners via the API and you can have trigger looking at certain tags.

Hi.
I had another thought along these lines. would it be possible to add support for turning on these wifi activated power switches to turn an ASIC miner on after sun up(for solar users), or during a cheap power period(like this user has) and then off again as needed?
i guess this could be done with a C# script... so to set the asic miner as enabled, then turn the power switch on.
anyone done this?

hi.

if this is not a dead coin, can we get a successful build of the latest version for linux?  (ubuntu 16.04)
both daemon and QT version.

seams to fail to start.
i have built it on 16.04, but it seams to default to testnet, build genisis block, then closes.

maybe i've done something wrong....  anyone have better luck?

if so, can you supply a good built version for 2.2?

p.s. was using git clone, now trying 2.2 source from releases page. will edit or remove my post if it works.

Hey, just to let you know.

Awesome Miner has now started coming up as Malware on Avast Anti-Virus.

someone may have an issue with AM and added it to the naughty list.

And i don't mean the mining apps it runs, but AM itself.

you might need to contact them and find out why and have it removed. for now, i have just added it to the exclusion list.

*[edit] posted before scrolling back. i now see you have this under control.*
