141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever invested in an ICO? on: November 21, 2017, 08:10:09 AM
And do they have a future in general?

I think regulation can be good...right now just seems like there are so many (potential) scams.
I haven't invested in an ICO where I've made more than 100x my deposited amount. That money would be nice to have though.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why hate BCH? on: November 21, 2017, 08:08:09 AM
Personally I am not against bitcoin cash. I think it is alternative payment currency. I tried it and it works good even faster than bitcoin. But my friend really hates it cause he love bitcoin.
Bitcoin Cash was and is trying to overtake Bitcoin. There will be more people wanting to roll with Bitcoin because its been around longer.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Equihash vs. ASIC - algorithms on: November 21, 2017, 08:06:52 AM
Are equihash coins really better than non ASIC-resistant coins? If the concern is a group of miners getting 51%, it seems that it has not happened or is unlikely to happen. Is it better to have the efficiency of ASICs?
I am surprised that people are still using mining equipment to mine coins. The difficulty should be high on all coins by now.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Manage Airdrops? on: November 20, 2017, 08:42:31 PM
For me to manage airdrops I prefer to keep them to my wallet. Anyway they came in free is better to retain the coins untill got high value.
Just check the wallet that you have then try to see if the price went up through coinmarketcap, it should only take a few seconds.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: November 20, 2017, 08:42:02 PM
"Best" is a strong word. It's definetly a new form of investing that's worth keeping an eye on and participating... who would not want to participate in the future?
I wouldn't call investing in an ICO as a best method to investing either. There is other ways like trading that an have nice results.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Portfolio Tracker on: November 20, 2017, 08:08:45 PM
I like cryptocompare.com. In my opinion it's the most convenient portfolio tracker due to it's user friendly GUI and ability of making different separate portfolios. But it still has the drawback. Sometimes they add new coins a long time after they are listed at exchange.
Coinmarketcap is the only website that has pretty much all the coins. You can try that if you want to know more things about your investment.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is stakes? on: November 20, 2017, 06:52:20 PM
Thanks for the information. It's still a little confusing, can I make it with any kind of coin?
If you are writing about stakes that you get from holding a coin it's kind of like a reward for holding the coin in your wallet.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1k investment. which cheap $0-$10 Alts should I invest in for long-term? on: November 20, 2017, 09:47:12 AM
ETH, Waves, CND.
Top-10 from coinmarket are good anyway.
Waves is an investment that is pretty easy to do right now because the price is not that high yet. Give it a year.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one would like to invest in? on: November 20, 2017, 09:45:33 AM
I think i would go for litecoin. Just because their team is very good and they are really working on it. Also litecoin is a good old coin which is a trusted and a safe coin.

It has also good support and is currently heading to 70 dollars. I think that it will hit 100 dollars.
Litecoin is better than all those coins because Litecoin was the OG coin out of all those in that poll.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEOCONNECT COMPLETE SCAM on: November 20, 2017, 09:44:45 AM
Hi,

I made a research and I found that neoconnect.io is a scam. They are the same devs of neogold which was dumped 3 days ago and a lot of people lost lots of money.

In their whitepaper they are saying that they will airdrop 2 neoconnect gold worth 25$ each, isn't that an obvious scam ? Where will they create such coin value ?

Stay away from this scam guys, don't give free money to these scammers, I decided to create this thread to prevent newbies from investing in that ICO.

Check the photo and look where neog is now.

Have a good day.

All the coins that you see in the sections of this forum that is not Bitcoin is usually identified as a scam.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin creation on: November 20, 2017, 09:44:30 AM
I am seeking for altcoin developers to develop a new altcoin. Please contact me for further discussion. Anyone in this forum can also pls recommend developers.

Thanks

inkiya
Don't do it!
There is enough coins on this forum that have no real purpose in surviving a few months. Bitcoin will get pumped soon.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin suggest on: November 19, 2017, 10:38:32 PM
Definetly the best investment you should to do is Syscoin.
Also Ardor and Factom, maybe Cloack.
I'd like to pick Ethereum as the coin of the year since there is a lot of volume going on in that coin for large amounts of things.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STRATIS for Longterm investment! on: November 19, 2017, 05:34:14 PM
I finally bought some strat yesterday after reading the reddit Ama. The coin had dumped hard before because the devs were not following the timelines in the roadmap. They are aware of this issue and vow to rectify that. As a result, i think the coin is a bargain now at undr $4.  I think they have some amazing ideas and lots of ambition, plus the experience to carry it all through. But it’s a long term hold and crypto people only seem to value instant gratification. But we all know who wins big in the end.
Good pick man!
The coin was good while the going was tough, now there is just too many spoiled people selling the coins off to people that don't know what's going on.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend Me a Bounty Signature Campaign Please on: November 19, 2017, 05:29:15 PM
Try to check this Bluzelle bounty campaigns https://blog.bluzelle.com/bluzelle-bounty-program-94277575132c the were paying through bitcoins. They have social medias campaigns and signature campaigns too.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will look unto this website. Hopefully, there is something in there that I can do to earn some bitcoin. I really need some right now.
Look for a coin to promote yourself. If you don't want to promote the coins that are in this thread then don't do it.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAS THE NEO/ICO PUZZLE BEEN SOLVED? on: November 19, 2017, 05:28:29 PM
Wouldn’t it be great if the NEO platform could start launching ICO’s without any more stumbling obstacles? Actual, legitimate, ICO’s that can launch under full compliance of CSRC and SEC guidelines and actually maintain their compliance while giving serious investors an avenue to financial gains without the concern of another scam coin failing. Well, that may be happening extremely soon as the U.S. based company ProjectICO has established a team to execute this.

With legal teams in play as well, the collaboration between the ambitious ProjectICO team may propose the solution to the known potential that NEO has to offer. The third quarter of 2017 proved NEO as a top contender after it jumped up the ranks and made it into the top 10 highest trading volume cryptocurrencies. As many investors know, shortly after NEO’s exploding gate opening run, the Chinese Government had issued an ICO ban which halted the rise and ultimately lead to massive sell offs, roughly 30%,  and fear for most holders. Since this has occurred, we have been reassured by Da Hongfei that the NEO Council has a goal to remain in compliance with government regulations and that Da Hongfei is a member of the regulations review board. Skepticism still lurks amongst the community however NEO has been teasing its followers with numerous announcements for the upcoming week. Many are suggesting that China may be lifting the ICO ban; some say that only NEO may have been awarded to be the chain for China to allow ICO’s, and of course many people still say this is all fake news. Until NEO releases factual and formal statements, I will not be one to speculate the news either. However NEO did release a statement about ProjectICO on Twitter just a few days ago mentioning the turnkey token sale firm to be switching to NEO as the preferred platform moving forward. I know that I will be watching the announcements and following NEO news very closely amongst sources, social media, and forums. NEO will be hosting a very important web AMA on NEO subreddit with ProjectICO founder Stephen Hyduchak at 10am Eastern Time Monday November 20, 2017. They are also going to be in New York, NY for the NEO meetup on the following Monday November 27, 2017.

This is going to be a very exhilarating next couple of months here to close out the fourth quarter of 2017. We have seen many amazing projects and tokens get launched which have offered very positive gains for investors amongst all experience levels, but the greatest is yet to come.

It makes no difference to me.
From what I know people can bend the rules in China and do whatever they want with their money.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: November 19, 2017, 05:27:34 PM
This is because bitcoin is the originator and the first coin.
However, more reason is targeted at investors around the world, bitcoin audiences more extensive, more well-known, but also almost all ALTCOIN's trading base unit.
There is another reason, the author of bitcoin is still a mystery, Nakamoto no one now who do not know, this is the center.

There's other reasons why Bitcoin is at a high price, people have promoted this coin in movies so they are only learning about it now and they are purchasing the coins.

They also have a reddit and more. Looks like they are serious about this even if it's some kind of joke, I wonder what value it will have.

Lol there is not enough evidence to see if this coin was made by the people that made Bitcoin Classic.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there really a need for lot of new exchanges? on: November 09, 2017, 08:06:10 PM
Is there really a need for lot of new exchanges?

I could think of the following -
1) COSS
2) Kyber
3) 0x
4) Waves
5) WBB's exchange
6) XBY's X-Change

Other than decentralization in what else these exchanges have to offer
The more exchanges, the less likely it would be for that MT. Gox scenario to happen again. There is a bunch of junk exchanges though, watch out.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 09, 2017, 08:05:09 PM
Hello! Does anyone know if or how to get Bitcoin gold out of an Mycellium wallet or if it is even possible? I have a friend that put his BTC in there before the fork becuase he was told that they were supporting it. I don't know anything about this wallet so any help would be appreciated!

If I remember it right the android version was able to export the private keys.
It should be under the keys tab, by selecting the account and export the keys.
Check coinmarketcap for exchanges that have Bitcoin Gold. You won't need to import your private key to an exchange. If they ask for your private key, ignore it.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Developer needed on: November 09, 2017, 06:56:43 PM
Hi there,

A few friends and I would like to create our own coin, but we don't know anyone who is good enozgh to develop one.
Is there a good site where they offer themselves?
We live in Berlin and Amsterdam respectively and would also like to meet the future dev in person.
Preferred Algo would be Equihash or Neoscrypt.

Any information about average costs or possibilities are welcome.

Thnx, us
Don't do it. You are only going to cause issues with the people that want to make money on this forum. As for the technical side of your future coin, if you can't develop then don't start. It's not a game.
