41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Sell-Off on: February 20, 2018, 11:15:33 PM
XRP just started taking a dive.  Anyone have any ideas, other than technical breakdown of support back on 2/18?  Any major news just break, or is this just simple trader psychology?  My guess woul be the latter
 Wink

P.S. Long term Ripple HODLer
Just looks like it's going to just be a normal pump and dump that Ripple does. I don't have any investments in Ripple.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin $20k by July according to Tom Lee on: February 20, 2018, 11:13:55 PM
Bitcoin is $11,880 right now, so this bullish rally makes me think everything is possible. Let`s wait and see where it goes, it might as well go down in a couple of days. Tom Lee seems very prudent compared with the guy from CNBC who predicted $50,000 EOY.
That's what I needed to know, thanks. I didn't want to go and look up the price of the coin since it's a few pages away.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins still dropping in price on: February 20, 2018, 11:07:42 PM
I never thought this would gain so much attention,  when will i start getting merit, i have 10 but thats because someone gave me some for another post
It's because of you posting something of quality. Posting that will allow people to thank you for your post. Thanks!
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deeponion better than monero on: February 20, 2018, 11:05:51 PM
What do you think about deeponion will it be the new monero?
The coin will not replace Monero since Monero has a serious back-end. DeepOnionis doing okay while Bitcoin is swinging about.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does bitcoin need to improve? on: February 14, 2018, 05:45:07 PM
Bitcoin continues to control the cryptocurrency market becuase it has been the first cryptocurrency, it has the largest amount of supports and it has been proved to have a stable system for the longest time.
Most of the altcoins came out at 2016+, even if they managed to gain a lot of value, they still won't be able to pass bitcoin because they don't have the support bitcoin has.
I believe that bitcoin has a lot to improve, beginning with handling transactions, are currency it is limited to about 3-4 transactions a second, and more then that will just cause the whole system to be flooded in users, but those problems apply to all the kind of cryptocurrencies, you just don't see it at other currencies because only bitcoin was managed to get so much traffic.

Demand is what Bitcoin needs. If there's less coins on the market then there would be an expensive barter for it.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now - should or not? on: February 13, 2018, 09:29:45 PM
The perfect time to invest in bitcoin would always be NOW.
It's going to have a lot more volume in the near future so don't invest short term with your money. Don't invest if you don't have money to be used in an investment.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does the value of Bitcoin dramatically decrease? on: February 13, 2018, 09:28:07 PM
The price of bitcoin has decreased in my opinion due to unreliable news ! than frightened holders of a coin!
The investors that sold their coins are already regretting it if they sold their coins in the $6,900 price.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to spot Whale signs and signs of a coming crash? on: February 13, 2018, 08:57:53 PM
How to spot Whale signs and signs of a coming crash?
Most whales like to brag about how many coins they have, so you may want to see what they say on Twitter.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What or who is still holding btc down? and why? on: February 13, 2018, 08:57:10 PM
with all the fud and bullshit cleared and the main govs regulating ready for mainstream taxation and adoption what is still holding btc down at these levels?
I didn't sell all of my Bitcoins during the price slump. I would just purchase more if I could get more fiat.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcoin Mining Works? on: February 12, 2018, 01:43:26 PM
When you hear about bitcoin “mining,” you envisage coins being dug out of the ground. But bitcoin isn’t physical, so why do we call it mining?

Because it’s similar to gold mining in that the bitcoins exist in the protocol’s design (just as the gold exists underground), but they haven’t been brought out into the light yet (just as the gold hasn’t yet been dug up). The bitcoin protocol stipulates that 21 million bitcoins will exist at some point. What “miners” do is bring them out into the light, a few at a time.

Go to YouTube and look up the mining videos, you can make a study list from there. The difficulty level is strong.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN Bitcoin hits $1 Million, how many BTC will you still HODL? on: February 12, 2018, 01:38:42 PM
if bitcoin is 1 million then exchanger will become filthy rich
If I had a bunch of Bitcoins -I would feel pretty cool about it. It would be nice to make that much to. We should invest more.
52  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Starting to learn a new job in bitcoin forum on: February 12, 2018, 05:11:07 AM
With a forum in bitcoin, we can learn to understand all the problems that are in bitcoin. Even to start a job like a campaign campaign can be done in the forum. By participating in forums bit by bit will add to our knowledge of bitcoin.
It's sort of like a job. If you're not serious about Cryptocurrency then there is nothing that you can do to make money through working in this forum.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of my friends still think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi on: February 12, 2018, 05:10:16 AM
Dear all,

I just heard some of my friends chatting in a gathering and they think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi. I just give them a smile and wish they will educate themselves a bit.

So, I would like you to give me some suggestions, how I can give them some hints with soft words which can change their mind or at least give them some more space to think twice?
Ignoring them would allow you to keep investing and making that money when the price of Bitcoin improves.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US to pay taxes with bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 10:13:07 PM
How true could this news be that the Arizona Senate in the United States of America has passed a bill which could allow residents in the state pay their taxes in bitcoin and other altcoins?

It's not like every government official can see who exactly is using the coins. I wouldn't worry on that unless you are trying to get your coins out from Coinbase.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coin of 2018 on: February 06, 2018, 11:45:30 PM
NEO is looking very good. Could be the Ethereum of 2018.
Ethereum is better. NEO seems a little basic compared to it.
What I like about Ethereum is that it went from smart contracts to an ICO deposit coin.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin can overcome this hit, Bitcoin will moon! on: February 06, 2018, 11:44:29 PM
Ofcourse. It will even exceed its all time high record. February is quite red but the market will recover. FUDs will soon pass. It's a good time to buy. Discounted days. Hodl.
Just stay put, don't get too panicked about the price of the coins you have. There will be a time to sell it, just not now if you don't need the money.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Behind The Conspiracy to attack Bitcoin ? on: February 06, 2018, 11:43:49 PM
Who ever is or was attacking bitcoin has stopped probabaly the whale groups are now going to try to raise the price, time to buy asap!
Well, I know that there's a big named person on here that told us what the price was going to be before that dump happened. Let's see what's next.
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fear not,bitcoin will rebounce on: February 06, 2018, 11:43:06 PM
Yeah, it rebounces all the time, that's why so many people are rebouncing checks now.
Didn't the Dow take a dump also?
People might've went out of Bitcoin because they needed the money, they'll purchase it again.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends haunting me with the dotcom saga on: February 06, 2018, 11:42:19 PM
I am wanting to do the same thing.
Still contemplating whether to do this or not though. Undecided

I have some cards lying around collecting dust so I should put them in a mining rig and start doing something with them soon while coins are still mineable and have not reached complete difficulty levels which would render these cards useless in mining.
If you have money to spend then I would suggest that you hold onto it or invest in BTC, mining right now is outrageous.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An open letter to Paul Vernon aka "Big Vern" - Cryptsy on: February 06, 2018, 11:41:45 PM
Damn, that's a touching story. I feel for you OP, I was no stranger to Cryptsy, back in the days it was the most popular and trusted exchange. Luckily, gave up on trading before the exit scam.

I don't get one thing - you're saying that you were holding WDC + later other altcoins, and then you're referring to your 98 bitcoins that were stolen from you. Is this the value (in btc) of your alts at that time?

Quote
Today I received my so long waited check of 10,387.93 $, representing my loss of 98 BTC on Cryptsy.

How was this figure derived? Did they just liquidate all that was left of Cryptsy and divided the proceedings to creditors proportionally, or is this calculated at BTC/USD rate at the time?

I've used Cryptsy in the past as well, there was nothing fun by seeing the coins just non-transferable when Vern ran.
