Totally agree with you! Though they lowered me in rank, but I was not upset! This gives me a greater incentive to write quality posts. I also see that the forum is cluttered with spam and offtopic, but new rules prevent it only before the first merit is received, and then everything will continue. I think that it is necessary to tighten the rules and make sure that all participants confirm their rank by earning a merit a week for example.
And I see it's really helped your rank there noob. not one merit. This is idiotic and I don't even care about this site anymore. Just one more knock against crypto.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Demoted to Newbie on: September 20, 2018, 05:59:53 AM
Then there's no point in trying. No one gives out merits. They like to keep them as trophies or use them to get attention. Giving them more wont change that. And the idea of trying t make money in a forum about currency is perfectly natural. I think you're going to see a sharp decline in people that even use this site.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you guys heard of Travelflex? on: September 17, 2018, 06:02:51 AM
I'm considering buying TRF while it's so cheap. They are one of the few coins to switch to DAG which makes them one of the fastest on the market at under 30 second transfers. I hear they are working on going on a new exchange as well. Have you guys looked into this project?
Yes, I participated in their bounty long time ago, and i can say that they are still following their roadmap in the whitepaper. Recently they swapped TRF into the new blockchain, and i hold a lot because it have lower price compare with ICO price.

Yeah, I got in touch with them about how to switch to DAG for a friend and they were responsive. I've noticed if somethings a scam, the customer service disappears, of course, but these guys are still rockin so I may buy in heavy as my friend has.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: September 15, 2018, 08:06:11 AM
In times of volatility and uncertainty, investors tend to favor one particular crypto that has high liquidity and is stable. At the current time, Bitcoin price trend still dominates the market trend.

However, Bitcoin leading position seems to be doubtable as Altcoins have recorded a stronger rise recently and the market is less affected by Bitcoin. Instead of following the general price trend of bitcoin, many cryptocurrencies also start to follow their own “trajectory”.

This week, the altcoin works much better than both Bitcoin and Ethereum. The added value of the ERC20 tokens and the increasing demand for small cryptocurrencies of investors in the global market has proved that Crypto investors are more confident in betting their money on this market.

Saxo Investment Bank from Danish, with its aim to focus on online trading and investment, has announced in a recent report that the capital inflows from organizations to the Crypto market will lead to a rise in prices for most of these currencies.

Yeah, I think bitcoins strong price is a testament to it's strength. Good to hear altcoins back on the rise. Good job hodlers. I think it's a good idea to have some altcoins in the bag because you never know when they'll pump. (Not advice).

This is part of creative destruction. Technology will hopefully bring all of us back together in a new fruitful world, which is more balanced and fair to every organism, with less greed and corruption.
It's possible. The internet has certainly had a massive effect on world communication.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we entering a new dark ages? on: September 12, 2018, 04:37:17 AM
I think we are seeing the collapse of the deep state. That will cause a lot of problems in the short term, and then we will enter as new golden age.

jes the crypto decentralisation could create a lot of consequences with unknown chaos imagine huge economic spheres like the usa, or EU have no singular currency anymore everyone owns questionable token no one knows what they are worth.
What do you mean "singular currency?"
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why does anyone care about BTC ETF? on: September 11, 2018, 12:15:56 PM
I'm no expert but why does everyone make such a big deal about something that many experts have warned would have a negative impact on the price? It's almost like people need the blessing of "big brother" to feel ok about something. This is supposed to be decentralized people, you want regulations then go invest in stocks. Am I outta line here?
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 10, 2018, 06:09:42 AM
I was expecting that For Sure all the way will get more votes and thats what happening here. Yes, everyone knows very well that market manipulation is prime business here to make some good fortune. Who does that ? Off course the whales are big players in that and they will always keep doing such things all the time for their own benefit. They dont care if you are loosing money because in this game someone has to loose their money so that others can gain from it. For example, whenever there is panic seller who is selling his BTC at cheap rates then at the same time whales would be buying it. And create situation like this, market needs to be manipulated badly and they do it all the time.
I guess what I don't understand is how they make money if they sell at a loss? If they are pumping and dumping, then why is there more dumping than pumping?

They don't sell at a loss

Intentionally they are buying at cheap price from panicking people

then Its where the pump comes in

an easy profit from the whales

Though sometimes whales, eat their own

but where is the pump? It's just a downward spiral no matter what.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Are we entering a new dark ages? on: September 09, 2018, 05:23:49 PM
In my estimation, the decline began in the mid-90's. Or as soon as Bush Sr. took the thrown. It's hard to pinpoint the exact moment but it doesn't matter. Things took another sudden dark turn in 2016 with the craziest election I have ever witnessed. The country, and even the world, especially the western world, is split down the middle. The "news" and most media took sides, mainly one side. Now cryptocurrency is under attack. Sites like Hostgator and others refuse service. So divided are we that whatever group you may be a part of, Facebook, forums, even establishments, bars, and workplaces try to monitor how you feel and what you believe and say just as fascists do. And they will question you. If you don't tow their party line, whether it makes sense or not, you almost surely WILL be rejected from the group or kicked out of the establishment or even fired. It happens every day. A recent example is how I started a group in a forum and built it up to 7700 members. After I posted my opinion about gentrification and proliferation of extremists in my neighborhood, I came back to find that my group was given to others, without even a warning. It's a total shutout. After 2016 I figured this was just a bizarre faze that will pass. However the non-s insanity seems to be increasing. Censorship of opinions, hatred, violence, racism, and hypocrisy are the new norm. And this infantile behavior is being taught in schools, not to mention the detestable sexualization of children. They can't avoid the messages. On top of this, the economy shows signs of cracking, and few even show concern when threats of nuclear war are all too frequent. Do you feel this is just a bubble or is this the beginning of the end of "civilization" or was that just a veneer all along and the animal side is now winning over?
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Hostgator the bitcoin haters. on: September 09, 2018, 03:48:38 PM
I signed up and paid for a hostgator plan. They wanted me to send in two pieces of ID which I did. Just becuase of the domain name, the fraud department contacted me asking the following:

We apologize for any inconveniences that may result from this process, but we want to ensure that our HostGator is able to accommodate your hosting needs.

Then just hours later, before I even had a chance to respond they send me this:

hostgator.com refunded $142.77 USD from your purchase on September 9, 2018.

They refunded my money and refused me service. Talk about ignorance and prejudice. Does anyone know of a hosting company that's crypto friendly? Thanks in advance.

13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 09, 2018, 04:10:37 AM
Crypto market can be manipulated because many investor have athousand BTC and they is early adopter of crypto, they can to manipulated the price to make more profit. Market manipulation not only happen in crypto market but also in stocks market. So i think this is can not be avoided because many big investor want to make more profit.
I guess I don't see how selling on the open market causing a major crash helps them.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 09, 2018, 04:09:38 AM
I think it is not about market manipulation anymore. It is about people's foolishness! One someone popular saif negative about Bitcoin, people will usually sell their coins without doing some research if the statement of that popular person is true. People tend to idolize other people who achieved something that they didn't.
Fair enough but they don't seem to buy i that much on the good news.. Coud it be bad news, followed by a major sell off to spark te downtrend? so many times there is a big dump for no reason.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 08, 2018, 01:23:43 PM
I think that bitcoin and the whole crypto was invented and created for manipulating and managing the population. To do this, advertising crypto as a decentralized currency that can not be traced.
But it can be traced and you usually can't sell it without KYC, although I'm sure there are ways. If it was created to control the population, it seems, they would have made a greater number of coins than 21 mill possible. Also, it has the potential to bypass and render the banking system obsolete. Now with DAG technology coins like Travelflex TRF have transfer times of around 30 seconds total. Banks take days. So if it was created by a branch of the government then they were attempting to oust the banking system as well. I don't really see how bitcoin controls the population.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 08, 2018, 01:18:31 PM
100%, futures was the beginning of it because it gave another channel for manipulation. I'm not sure it's so much for profit but perhaps just to subdue bitcoin, the chief of the futures exchange said that they would kill volatility in bitcoin and that seems to be what's happening.
Well maybe that's a good thing if we are to expect BTC to be a currency. Who would buy a pizza with BTC if they could get it for half price next week? So if that's to be the case, then let's thank them.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: September 08, 2018, 06:16:53 AM
For sure i believe that there are created by some whale that want to other people will FOMO so they can gain some profit. And because the manipulation like pump and dump is not illegal at crypto market. Like yesterday i have seen there is some coin that gain rapidly maybe pump if i don't forget until 150% but only in 1 exchange in another exchange it doesn't pump. Whales only want to get profit with it. And you can see at Coinmarketcap if there any manipulation the price will be tag with *** this mean" *** Price/Volume Excluded - Outlier Detected". So if we know that market being manipulated we shouldn't FOMO. Just analysis market by your own if not you will be eat by Whales
I hear this reasoning the most often. That it's to pump and dump. But I don't see a whole lot of pumping. I just see random dumping before the market has a chance to regain. There was plenty of pump and dumps going on in 2017 so what's the big difference? Has anyone considered that they may be buying BTC over the counter and then dumping it on the open market, yes incurring a loss but maybe as a long term investment in trying to kill crypto. Sort of like killing the competition?
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Market manipulation on: September 08, 2018, 04:20:00 AM
Back in 2017 it was published that certain powers will crack down on cryptocurrency in 2018. Comments by institutional representatives like "oh there just kids playing in the sand box. They'll lose interest soon." leave some wondering what they meant by these statements. Some say that the moment BTC Futures came online, the market just started tanking, and never really stopped. The double, or is it triple dip that happened here in mid Sept seemed odd to many. Commentators claimed that "unusual market activity" occurred just before it tanked. Many chalked it up to a decision by Goldman Sachs but do their choices really matter THAT much to average traders? Do you feel this market just flows naturally and it's just weak hands throwing money into the wind again and again? Or do you feel that there is a more sinister hand at work here?
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump Be Re-elected? on: September 05, 2018, 04:16:47 AM
In less than two years time, Americans will go to the poll again and elect their president. Looking at how the event unfolded in the last election which brought Donald Trump as the president of the most powerful nation in the world, then many analyst predicted that Trump will not win the election which he later won, the prediction of 2020 election has started again but my question is will Trump go against the odds once again and win his re-election  bid?
OK first of all, that's exactly what they said right down to the last second of the election. Complete with false poles that said 90% chance hillary will win. But he won by far the most states. And the recount proved she was cheating. So my honest feelings are after such lies and attempted deception by the main stream media, how can anyone still act as if they deal in facts? I guess you weren't paying attention at all last year. Look at the youtube videos of all of the predictions stating there is no way he will win. And yet, you still believe them? So now that we've established that main stream media has nothing to do with honest reporting and it just supports it's 5 corporate sponsors and foreign states that wish to decimate America, I ask you this, do some reasoning for yourself. If Trump isn't going to win in two years then WHO is campaigning hard right now that even stands a chance? He very well could lose because of his tweets and main stream media's constant false accusations, but it will take someone truly GREAT to out do him. Especially considering, in spite of some bad moves, many feel he did pretty good. Much Much better than Obama. How long did it take Obama to deal with ISIS? they just got bigger and bigger. Which I think was his plan. Now how long did it take Trump? 45 days and they were wiped out like the plague they were. So you tell me who's going to compete with him in reality? A man that can take on the entire press and still win. Oprah? HAHAHAHAH not a chance. She would stand a chance but her speeches are racist hate speeches. So good luck there. I wish Ron Paul would run again.
20  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos's opinion on ETF on: September 04, 2018, 03:10:54 PM
Well it sounds like fiat for crypto if you ask me. If there is no reserve of the actual bitcoin. If there is, then that's at least good. So my question is, if you have your own coin that you manage, can you say no to the ETF?
