are the echanges confirmed updated?
Yep, confirmed and tested.

Can anyone get a wallet to sync? Where is the dev?
Cannot seem to sync the new client past block 35499
There may still be some nodes stuck at the first and second fork for some reason, so if there's a connection to them, it may cause an issue. Removing the addnodes and placing this into the config file should resolve it (this should only be used temporarily): I just downloaded the wallet and am syncing fine without making a config file. The connections are looking mostly healthy, more than half of them are synced and at the latest version. stuck @ block 34999: 2014-07-24 12:38:17 connected 198.46.135.119 2014-07-24 12:38:17 send version message: version 70002, blocks=34999, us=0.0.0.0:0, them=198.46.135.119:58585, peer=198.46.135.119:58585 2014-07-24 12:38:17 receive version message: /Satoshi:0.9.0/: version 70002, blocks=290154, us=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx, them=198.46.135.119:58585, peer=198.46.135.119:58585 2014-07-24 12:38:10 received block 98d5849c36f9cffbcf9c30dff0590ef12b8bb5edf030026db01954d82552203e 2014-07-24 12:38:12 ERROR: AcceptBlock() : incorrect proof of work 2014-07-24 12:38:12 ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED I only have connect=198.46.135.119 in my config, no addnodes. already deleted the complete blockchain and everything else. I'm syncing fine here and the stoned puppy pool is working great! Can anyone get a wallet to sync? Where is the dev?

Everything is looking good! 3 blocks already!
OK guys, I've knock down 7 consecutive blocks! What's up?
My config was borked, I just now got one rig on your site. hurray! And 3 blocks found! Are we the only ones mining? We have found every block since the fork. Well there is 22+ MH/s of scrypt mining away at nothingness on Mining Pool Co. And the thing is we contacted them, they must not check their bitmessages.

A mac wallet, cool! I have nothing to test it on however.

Countdown to SmartCoinX11Careful mining at Mining Pool Co after the X11 fork. I don't know if we have confirmation that they received psionin's bitmessage. They may continue on with the old wallet mining scrypt and all those coins mined after the fork would be lost. I don't think Mining Pool Co does X11 coins, all the coins they have are scrypt or SHA256. I have confirmed that Cryptsy has updated to the latest wallet so we are good to go!

Anyone use AllCrypt.com?
Have they been informed of the upcoming fork or are they just having issues with the new wallet?
They don't seem to have SMC listed.
They have been informed of the new wallet. Some exchanges disable wallets before a fork in case there are issues. SMC is listed here: https://www.allcrypt.com/market?id=230AllCrypt updated to the current wallet on July 16th.

Anyone here who uses BitMessage I would appreciate it if you would contact Mining Pool Co. and let them know we are switching to X11. Otherwise they may end up on the wrong fork. Direct them to this thread. Here is their contact info: https://www.miningpool.co/contact

I want to take a moment to thank psionin for all his work. He has done a lot for SmartCoin and I hope the SMC community appreciates it as much as I do.

I just updated www.smartcoin.me to go with the new features and look! This is getting really exciting! I am excited too. There are things that need to be done. We need to make sure that the blockchain explorer is updated. We need some X11 pools and the old pools need to be notified. I will make sure Cryptsy and AllCrypt are updated. CoinWarz needs to be updated as well. These are the basics. What we really need is a social media push. Maybe a subreddit, twitter and hit the trollboxes. I am not really into social media and we could really use some help here. I don't do Tumblr and I know little about it except a lot of college students use it and something about blogs. There is also Facebook. Any ideas and/or help with this would be greatly appreciated. It also wouldn't hurt to post here more to bump this thread for visibility. This needs to be an extended campaign and not just something that lasts a week, we have to keep at it. Voting on MintPal also helps to increase our visibility. https://www.mintpal.com/voting#SMCI have been quite busy irl lately and that is not likely to change soon. In fact I will be on an extended trip again in August and perhaps continuing into September. My free time will be limited. We need members of the community to step up.

Alright guys, some progress. I set up a dedicated node on a VPS server, set up a DNS seeder, and updated the client code with the address, so the reported sync issues should not occur any longer. The new release can be downloaded here: https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/0.8.6.9Additionally, the ECSDA keys I posted earlier should be okay to use for the Android version, as they are in the new release without issues. The changes merged from Litecoin should also be good to have, as the previous code was quite outdated, and there have been numerous bug fixes and improvements, and this should give us a stable code base for the upcoming X11 fork. If you have a chance, please update your client and let me know if there are any issues. Excellent work! The wallet syncs with no issues.

Is invisible hands still around?!
I'm still here, I'm not going anywhere. I've been voting for SMC on MintPal several times a day. I can't wait to see what psionin is cooking up!

Guys, there is no need to raise the hard cap nor the subsidy in the event of increased demand.
Look at Bitcoin, their demand is thousands of times greater than any alt-coin and do you see them raising the coin supply?
Inflation destroys wealth and a low coin float and a low subsidy attracts investors for the snort term and also the longer term and it increases a Coin's value because investors in general literally look for these attributes in an investment. At 30-40 million, any coin has more than enough coins to satisfy any demand.
Anyone can buy the coin now for cheap and if the value goes up then mining it becomes more profitable so distribution will take that route which is better than excessive dilution.
So I think dropping the max cap and [if needed] the subsidy, will add instant value and also long term value due to lower inflation and much lower dilution.
Regards...
I may be willing to look into setting the coin limit at 42 million (1/2 Litecoin and 2x Bitcoin). One thing that I'm concerned about is that both Litecoin and Bitcoin block rewards halve every 4 years, so there is a long term symbiosis with the mining infrastructure, which I think is also very important for a crypto currency. It seems like some alt coins generate a large number of coins in a short period of time and don't leave much for later down the road, which could have negative effects on community interest, service integration, and network growth. This is something to seriously think about. It is good to see some healthy discussion about the future of SmartCoin. Things are looking up!
