Unfortunately, we can't carry out a refund unless we get a written confirmation from them - such was the condition posed by our legal department.

We have already stated that all our hanging KYC cases will receive a refund as soon as they confirm they don't want to submit their documents and are ready to receive their funds to their wallets. That's our only condition.

Of course I did. However, we need that confirmation from them so that all is clear from the legal point of view. With regards to PrivCoin, no one from them has ever contacted our support team in the first place.

We need a confirmation of KYC dismissal in form of a written message in our support from all our hanging KYC cases, Privcoin and ni23457 included. Their funds will be returned to them right away.

We as a company have come on this forum in general and in this thread in particular in order to have a dialogue with our customers and receive constructive feedback. However, I'm sorry to say this, but this discussion is going nowhere, therefore this will be my final reply for the time being.

We didn't steal the funds, so the very question is posed incorrectly.  We have stated multiple times that the funds will be released when we get a resolution from our legal team. We have no intention of keeping them for ourselves, but we can't release them just like that because that might land us in legal issues.

Our legal team has an email where you may direct all additional inquiries with regards to this issue: legal@changenow.io; however, all interactions with the outside world (users of this forum, for instance) are still to be carried out through our marketing department, me in particular.

All the information on ChangeNOW's operation and general use is listed in our Terms of Use. As we've already stated, as our ToU and FAQ develop, we will fill them both with more information.

As we've already stated, we obey the laws and jurisdiction of Belize and international legal regulations that apply to the blockchain industry.

And, lastly: as I've already said, we have come to this topic to have a dialogue, perhaps to get some constructive feedback. What is happening here, unfortunately, is everything but, so we will proceed with the case and get back to you with the results and/or news.

We have our own legal team and also employ some outsourced legal consultants. I'm not sure I'm allowed to disclose their names, though.

You're absolutely right - we don't have any right to share the files that the OP has sent. We respect the law, as we have stated multiple times.
As for the refund - we will refund the OP as soon as we have legal grounds for that. We really hope that this situation is resolved as soon as possible.

About the GDPR: it's a part of global improvement package that we are implementing. It's a work in progress, and we are introducing changes as they come.
In our public statement we have mentioned that in just a year we have grown from a tiny service into a relatively big project. We are collaborating with legal specialists and advisors in order to keep up with all requirements of the market and to be compliant with all the necessary things. Unfortunately, some implements take some time to get up and running, more than we'd like to. In any case, we are trying to do everything in our power to become the most transparent, convenient, and understandable service on the market and we are eternally grateful for all the constructive comments you've given us.

We can assure you that he didn't send those documents as a joke or mock. In his earlier posts the OP claimed that he was "embarassed", which is why he sent us fake documents not only once but twice.

For the record: he didn't send us pictures of Trump or Putin, there was just a scan of some random passport and a selfie with a different face and a different ID.
We would like to share the documents he sent us, but it would be very unprofessional of us.

Unfortunately, that's not our restriction, it's our fiat partner's.

Am I right to think that what you're offering here is to send our client's funds to a random person on the Internet and that would  be secure and trustworthy? Alas, this is not how money business works. These funds are not ours, they are our client's, first and foremost, and sending them to an unknown third party would be a disaster.
