I hear that exchange is shady, they have a history of scam accusations and not resolving most of the complaints from different users of their exchange, you should do a little search about the exchange before doing any transactions, I think now it is a little too late, you just take this as a life lesson and move on.

Many atimes the project might be contraint financially which might cause the delay.
