Any news on the alternating POS? Are the devs still working on that or are there other plans with the coins now?

I just hope this relaunch will be more successful then the previous one and that is not just an attempt to rise the price again in order to dump coins. Hope I am wrong but the previous relaunch looked like this. However I am getting more and more confidence in the 2nd relaunch and it is definitely nice to see that community is growing.

Are all the coins distributed already?
If not whats the plans for distribution?

Our multipool will payout 25% bonus coins. So the process will be: 100% of coin payouts will come from undistributed coins. 25% of profit from pool will be used to buy up bonus coins. 75% of profit from pool will be used to build floors.

The undistributed coins are actually a good thing now because it lets us use our multipool profits for not just buying.

When will the POW/POW system be developed?

Can't give a timetable on this, but it is being done. There are complications with turning a coin into POS after the fact, so my dev is working on that mainly. Pow can be done, but we will have add some coins to the max. We don't plan to add a lot, but maybe 2mil each coin. I don't know if the community wants that though.

I do not prefer adding additional coins but I have another solution. What if you destroy 2mil of each coin that you are planning to give it away as a promotion/bonus in order to do Pow without increasing the max number of coins?

Yin has proven to be the dominant coin in it's relationship with Yang. The only wall on the way to 1700 just got knocked out, so get ready for the ride guys. The official release of the fully completed pool will only push this even more. Tell everyone you know who is a miner to mine with us please Wink

Thanks for the update. I will mine as soon as the pool is officially released and ready for mining.

Just keep up the good work!

Do I need to keep my wallet opened and computer turned on in order to get POS coins?
Thanks

Can anybody please explain me, why did I receive POS coins for only about a half of my coins. I have all the coins in the wallet for same amount of time and they were all sent to my wallet with a single transaction. I assume that I am soon going to receive the POS for the other coins soon but I am just curious why this happened.

Thanks

I belive that here's Your answer Wink

"POS mining" process is just about holding coins and leaving your computer on. Only matured coins (coins stored in a wallet over 24 hours) are eligible for POS. Each block (every 45 seconds), a random lucky coin is selected to be the next "miner". If a node with the selected coin wallet is running, it will collect the transactions, make a block, and send it to the rest of the network and collect the fees. If the computer is turned off, however, then the entire network will have to select a different coin to make the transaction. This time, the unresponsive wallet will be ignored.

Thank you for the answer. So if I understand it right, the computer must be running all the time if you want to get the coins?
But what the difference when comparing this coin to others, which do not require the wallet to be opened constantly?

Well.. I didnt get any Pos reward (just 0.01)
Thats my wallet:

Hm? How to fix it? =(

I have same problems. I have been having my coins in the wallet for 4 days now, but I have received POS only once. Earlier today the message in wallet was "Expected time to earn reward is in 7 days", but then it went to 5 days, 2 days, now it says 7h, so I hope I will receive my POS coins at latest 7h from now.
Hope this helps

can somebody please tell me what should I do in order to get my POS working fine? I have just upgraded my wallet and it still says "not staking because you do not have mature coins". I do not know what is wrong, I do not have any passwords and the wallet is connected to the network. I already got some POS coins (although 1% instead of 10%), but since then my coins do not want to stake.

I really appreciate all your help
Coins need 24 hours in wallet to get status "mature" Wink
After that they will start staking

But I am having my coins in my wallet for 3 days now so they should be already stacking.
This morning I received my 1% POS, so if I assume correctly I should wait 24h after I receive a POS payment? Please correct me if I am wrong, but if my calculations are correct that would be 48h for 10% POS interest instead of 24h.

10% start at block 17000. Remember to download new wallet.

I did. But even at this rate I would need 48h for a current POS interest if I am not wrong.

I also think that is better to spend BTC for a pump and promoting this coins. If this is done successfully the volume might skyrocket and the coins would be added to mintpal without paying additional BTC, since they would see the coins as an opportunity to make some money from the fees.

Hey, I have an idea. It would be awesome if top players of Flappy Roto2 were awarded some coins. Let's say that daily top 3 receive some. It would be a small amount, of course, but I believe that it would be a great incentive to play the game and therefore spread the word about this coin. It would definitely bring us more publicity. Smiley

We have to keep working on stuff like that!
Apple approved Flappy roto2 so maybe by the end of the day all iOs users will be able to play it Cheesy

Cheers

Really? more good news!

You are on fire devs!

Great idea. We should definitely think about the daily rewards or something similar.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: January 30, 2014, 09:59:30 PM
Under C:/Users/Lorren/AppData/Roaming/Starcoin there are two files called blk001.dat and blkindex.dat.  I renamed those files so they had a .bak extension (just in case), closed starcoin-qt, and then I replaced the two files with the dropbox files.  When I restarted starcoin-qt it was synced.
i just had to wait a few minutes and now my wallet is synced. thanks for help anyway.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: January 30, 2014, 09:51:12 PM
I don't know how pool syncing works, but the dropbox file had me up in about two minutes.  Half of that was the time it took for starcoin-qt to restart.
can you please describe exactly what did you do?
i have deleted the .log file in database, then put the dropobox files, but now when i start the wallet nothing shows up, despite the fact that my task manager says the wallet is actually running.
thanks

OUR POOL: http://starcoin.kryptochaos.com IS UP AND SYNCING!!

0% FEES, VARDIFF, CLUSTERED, ANTI-DDOS, STRATUM

You can log into the pool but no work will be handed out yet since the sync is so slow...

i get this error, when trying to connect to your pool

Sorry stratum won't connect until it finishes syncing and the network is kind of slow right now...

can you tell how much longer will it approximately take for stratum to synchronize?
