The only good thing about Amazon it's that is the easiest thing in the world to manage once you wrap your head around the platform (hehe, sorry Tante...) - the service is rock solid, by far the best for masternode performance I've seen. It is the best for auto-scaling I know.
Given that, I'm not using them anymore since I've found others that do an equally good job, and no surprise bills. I've had the odd 20$ bill myself.
Any advice about setting a masternode elsewhere? I used Amazon Ec2 because it was easy to set up, and free for one year (they said...)

$0.000 per GB - data transfer in per month 26.054 GB $0.00 $0.000 per GB - data transfer out under the monthly global free tier 15 GB $0.00 $0.000 per GB - regional data transfer under the monthly global free tier 0.729 GB $0.00 $0.090 per GB - first 10 TB / month data transfer out beyond the global free tier 196.778 GB $17.71
So this for one masternode in march is not logical... What could be the reason behind that? And more important: how could i end this problem?

Hi, I just noticed that I have some pretty huge bills from amazon.aws on my masternode: more than 20$ on january and ferbuary, with tome pretty huge out data transfert: more than 150 gigas in one month.
Is that amount of data strange just for one masternode?

Thanks for your advice.
I just plug my linux drive in my computer to check.
I type Darkoind and it says "server started" Then i type the command to know the amount of monney (darkoind something, i copy paste that one) and I got a nice 0.00000 instead of 1012. I freaked out, plug my windows hdd again and checked my wallet, there is still n1012 dark on it. So no hack, but some random reboot may have happened. I'm on amazon EC2. I'll try to investigate.

After a month, my masternode went listed and inactive (or enven not listed) on the Chaeplin site.
Is there some update to do? Is it normal that since the 27 the masternode became inactive (or not listed on 2 nodes)?
Thanks for helping.
ssh into your server and see if darkcoind is still running. What does darkcoind masternode list | grep <your server IP> report? Check the 1000DRK balance hasn't been touched. I'm an absolute noob in linux and I was helped to set the MN up a month ago. Since then I only look on the Chaeplin site with my Pubkey if the MN was up. Today it's not green anymore. So you say that even if I did not perform some updates recently the MN has no reason to be down since the 27 (last payment)?

This coin is older than any Pump&Dump coin still alive, so you can only compare it to other coins: Bitcoin/Litecoin/Darkcoin are more like main-coins. In this way, Darkcoin is still young, and more important, still improved (that's what caused the Domm of Ltc).

Dev, Plz keep developing the project , the progress of the project is the only support of the price .and also , more and more progress will definitely attract more and more ppl. so ,nothing should be worried about. Just keep going ... Two coins has proven this point is totally wrong, LOL and MIN. LeagueCoin have working tipbot, skin shop and battlebot, three brand new projects released in a month after launch. Sadly price is keeping going down. And then let's take a look at Minerals, they have nothing except a good way of PoW distribution and some screenshots, and look at the price, it's growing so good. Conclusion: It's crypto, the progress of the project Whales is the only support of the price Whales make the short-terms big increase in price. In a couple of week, may be Min will be nothing more than a memory.

Things looking good. To the moon now!
Indeed, only lost half my value in a couple days Same here. But I think that this is the most X11 profitable coins actually, so multipool are mining and dumping it. I'm not the "that's the last cheap coin blablabla" kind of man, but I think that for once, the price is low because of Wafflepool and CoinKing, and the demand will exceed the supply next week.

So the POW phase is over?
Some kind of Multipool yet?

I did create some visual guide to entry levels into the market. they are posted on darkcointalk. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/when-do-investors-buy.1125/I just felt so sorry for some "investor" that bought the last ATH and then came back to complain. This is what I learned in investing 101 but it seams some people did not attend that class. It is fairly well known that a first test of previous ATH is a Major level of resistance. So hope this helps, please comment if there is something you want me to explain better. I want your investment 101 book/class/lesson By the way, your post is gold. I' was serious about a crypto-investment book, but for the absolute beginner, a 3 graph explanation such as yours is invaluable.

Might be fear because of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637195.0Someone from the Dark organization needs to publicly refute this shit. People are spending too much time making dream posts about how rich they'll be. I dumped mine into BTC because I figured there might be panic reaction. When things cool off I'll buy back in. Want to see how low it goes and get a nice bargain at the bottom. The coin has gone up 100% in a week. 100%! So why can't it retrace a few percent?
It's consolidation. Don't worry about the minute charts ; look at the 12h mintpal chart on bitcoinwisdom for example. Zooming out increases calm.
Agreed. It's called "profit taking" and it happens in all markets. And the difference is when it occurs when we reach or approach an ATH, it is profit-taking. If it occurs following bad news, it's fear. Lol, I'm with a government, what a nice opening sentence, this should refute his own post.

The fact that I still did not got any coins appearing on the pool after 2 days started to bother me a little. No answer to my tickets on the pool either (even if they probaly did not work on sunday)
Hey boubou, what's your F@H username? Hi, my username is "boudje" What is your username on cryptobullionpools.com? On the Folding@Home stats, I'm seeing your username with a capital "B" spelled "Boudje", with a gain in the last 24 hours of 1674 points. On the stanford site, on my profile, I did not have capital B: Here is the copy/paste of my stats page: boudje Team 224497 Change Identity I support research fighting Any disease Points earned 66,970 (See stats) 66,156 go to Team Curecoin's total of 4,436,318,839 As you see, there is no B in my pseudo.

I hope you people talking up this bitfinex stuff realise that this now HAS to happen otherwise we'll have a crash on our hands.
This development has now been getting slowly priced in over the last 24-48 hours, in particular regarding the fact that a correction was due yesterday that didn't occur - the price went up instead.
That's the price of jumping on these kind of rumours.
The rumour will be bought and the news will be sold. When bitfinex come out and state that periodically run viability tests on their new API functions using a variety of tickers but currently no plans to add any alts then that's going to no be seen as negative news and trigger a good old dump.
Just saying'. Watch what you talk up.
Have you got some books to learn crypto-trading? I'm sick of reading thoses advices that seems pretty steady afterwards, and place my trades only with a look at the direction of the wind... So if there is som "crypto-trading 101", I'll be pleased to buy it. I know shit about technical analysis, but this link has been shared in this thread a few times for that: http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_schoolThanks, i'll look at it. I'm searching for the basis, how to build a strategy, and how to enter the market without total gambling. And of course how to avoid the biggest basic mistakes.

Still no point on he pool after " days, no answer of my ticket after 24h, i'm disappointed, and will move on until things are fixed. The idea is wonderful, but there is a few practical loss.
